Chapter 22
In Kanto, Ash and Alice visit the Squirtle Squad in Cerulean City, and Squirtle decides to return to Ash's team after hearing what happened to Ash from the news. And then they also go around the Routes to capture some Water Type Pokemon.
They find a Psyduck nearby in Cerulean City along with a Poliwag, a Tentacool, and a Goldeen, then they also find a Slowpoke at Route 10, and then they capture a Seel, a Shellder, and a Staryu near the Seafoam Islands. And for Vaporeon, they find an Eevee and evolve it into the Vaporeon using a Water Stone.
And before they head back to Sevestar Island, they also find the same Magikarp Salesman who has been trying to cheat money with Magikarps. But when they notice one that was shiny, Ash kinda threatens him to give him the one, or else he makes sure that the salesman runs out of business. In the end, Ash manages to get the Shiny Magikarp in the end.
"You really want the Shiny Magikarp don't you?" Alice asks.
"Most people think Magikarp is useless, and they will only want the golden one for money. I'm different, and I want to make sure that it becomes a strong Red Gyarados." Ash says.
And just after he returns to Sevestar Island, he is surprised to see a Lapras waiting for them, and the Lapras is Ash's old Lapras, who returns to join Ash's team.
Reisa says, "You really capture a lot of Water Type Pokemon."
"Water Type has the most Pokemon after all." Helen says. "But it is also cool to see them become strong."
And with the others helping out, all of the new Water Types are in their final forms. Blastoise, Kingler, and Lapras also have their own Max Soup to be able to Gigantamax, and Blastoise, Gyarados, and Slowbro have their own Mega Stones.

In Johto, they immediately head to Whirl Islands, since it is the place where they can find some Water Type Pokemon. They capture a Chinchou, a Corsola, a Mantine, and a Horsea. They also head to other places, like Mt. Mortar for Marill, Route 30 for Poliwag, Route 32 for Wooper and Qwilfish, Slowpoke Well for Slowpoke, and Route 44 for Remoraid.
And they also head to Burned Tower, this time, Suicune is the one waiting for them. Ash says, "Suicune. It's nice to see you again. We've heard everything from Ho-Oh and Entei. You're here to join my team, right?"
Suicune nods and says, "Yes, although I had some trouble getting here, the Gym Leader's friend has been chasing after me and I have to knock him out before coming here."
Ash and Alice wince a little, but they decide to quickly capture the Pokemon and leave as soon as possible.

And then Ash and Alice decide to have a small tour in the Unova Region using the new cruise ship that they purchased, and now they are enjoying the sunshine on the deck.

And before they leave, they also stop at Decolore Islands and find an Oshawott at Scalchop Island, and after getting back to the island, they train the Unova Pokemon until all of them evolve.
