Chapter 24
When Eve arrives at Sevestar Island, she can't believe there is a huge place like this, Ash is now training his new Pokemon, and he seems to be tired after seeing his Zweilous evolving into Hydreigon in the end.
"I did it... I finally got a Hydreigon now..." Ash says.
Liepard: Ability: Unburden. Moves: Slash, Sand Attack, Nasty Plot, Night Slash, Sucker Punch, Play Rough
Scrafty: Ability: Moxie. Moves: Rock Climb, Brick Break, Focus Punch, High Jump Kick, Head Smash, Crunch
Zoroark: Ability: Illusion. Moves: Scratch, Imprison, U-turn, Nasty Plot, Night Daze, Night Slash
Mandibuzz: Ability: Big Pecks. Moves: Toxic, Bone Rush, Brave Bird, Mirror Move, Dark Pulse, Embargo
Hydreigon: Ability: Levitate. Moves: Tri Attack, Heat Wave, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Rush, Outrage, Nasty Plot
"Congratulations! Ash!" He turns around to see Alice and her sisters. Alice rushes to Ash and they start to have a heated kiss. Eve can only gasp, her sister is actively kissing the famous World Champion.
Flora coughs and says, "You do realize you're not alone, right? You two?"
Ash and Alice before pulling away, and Ash also notices Eve. "You must be Alice and Flora's sister, Eve, right? The one who wants to be a Professor. It's a pleasure to meet you."
Eve and Ash are shaking hands, and Eve says, "Indeed. I have heard everything from Alice, thank you for taking care of my sister when I was busy."
"Don't worry about it." Ash says. "Instead, Alice is the one that takes good care of me, what happened with Team Rocket a year ago caused me to get lost in darkness. Alice was the light that brings me out."
Alice is blushing madly at what Ash is saying about her. Eve says, "Well, I don't mind being in the darkness. Unlike Mom and Dad, I like Dark Type, since it gives me a calm feeling that pushes me forward."
She notices the five Unova Pokemon and asks, "Are those your Pokemon, Ash? Are you perhaps in some sort of Dark-type training?"
Ash chuckles, "Oh, Alice and I now share Pokemon with each other as well. Her Pokemon are mine and vice versa."
"I see." Eve smiles. "Good to know. By the way, the reason I'm here is that I want to be a Professor, but I needed the three recognition stamps from three different Professors and a Champion recognition stamp. Can you help me with it?"
Ash says, "I can help you with the Champion one, but for Binary and Sylvan, there is a problem...Binary and Sylvan's names haven't been heard for 17 years, and if we just use our disguises, some people might find it weird because they thought Binary and Sylvan didn't age. Your mother managed to reveal that they find the pool of youth, which can be found in Terminus Cave. I am afraid that the Professors might think that you are lying to get those stamps..."
Eve frowns and she says, "But...I worked so hard..." She takes out the papers and shows them. "I can't just give up. Or my dream will be for nothing."
Ash reads the papers and he says, "Interesting...your topic is about Dark Type Pokemon, huh? Very well. Let me ask you a question. Why are you making a topic about Dark Types?"
Eve says, "Dark Type Pokemon are being known as evil for some people. But I want to show that Dark Type Pokemon can be good and they can achieve the bonds as well. Just like Houndoom, Absol, and even...Greninja."
"Ah, you're talking about my Greninja, is that right?" Ash asks with a little frown. "I really miss him a lot."
"I've noticed that you didn't have your Greninja...Professor Sycamore has said a lot about this Ash-Greninja, but where is he?" Eve asks.
"I released it to the wild, so he can finish those vines that Team Flare has left." Ash frowns. "It has been 4 years since that happened."
"I am sorry to hear that." Eve says. "I also have another question. You said that the first Binary and Sylvan disguises belong to your father and our mother, what happened to your father? Why would Mom didn't want to disguise herself as Sylvan again?"
Alice says, "I don't think it is right to talk about this, Eve. Ash's father was killed by Team Rocket 17 years ago."
"I'm sorry...I didn't..." Eve gasps.
"Don't worry, Eve." Ash says. "We can help you with the signatures, but in only one condition."
"What is it?" Eve asks in delight.
"We have to come with you, to make sure that they didn't think you were faking those signatures." Alice says as Ash nods. "As expected for my lifelong partner."
Eve agrees as Ash and Alice wear their Binary and Sylvan disguise. The three of them head to the PLA together so that Eve can meet Professor Oak. Oak sees Eve and he says, "Hello, are you Eve Urup, the one who asks to become the Professor?"
"Yes, I have wrote my application with three recognition stamps." She shows the papers and Professor Oak read them, but he flinches as he sees that two of the stamps are from Binary and Sylvan, and the Champion stamp is from Ash Ketchum.
"Where did you get them? Binary and Sylvan were missing and no one has seen them for 17 years." Professor Oak gasps in shock.
"Ash Ketchum brought me to the Pool of Youth in the Kalos Region, I know you might not believe the signatures, that's why I have brought both Professors here in this PLA building. They are in the waiting room since only applicants are able to get in this room." Eve says with a nervous tone.
Oak blinks in surprise as he can't believe that two of their older friends have returned to the Professor's Association. He says, "Can you please take me to them, I will need to have a talk with them."
"But what about my application? We are still in the middle of the job review." Eve asks.
"This is one of your tasks as well." Oak says as Eve nods, then she takes him to meet Sylvan and Binary.
As the two colleagues meet Professor Oak, they are talking to each other as Eve is watching with patience. In the end, Oak walks towards Eve and says, "After talking to Binary and Sylvan, I think I should let you pass the test. You are now a Professor now."
Eve is delighted as she thanks the Professor. Once she gets her license, the three of them walk outside as Alice says, "You did it. You are now a Professor."
"Yeah, in fact, I should thank Professor Binary and Professor Sylvan for help." Eve says.
"It's no big deal. But now we should leave since we have something else that we need to do with Professor Oak's request." Ash says.
"I know." Eve says, "I can get back home on my own."
After Eve leaves, Ash and Alice are now inside the PLA office they are talking with Professor Oak about the new projects and other stuff. And before leaving the Kanto Region, they capture an Eevee in the same area as where they caught Flareon and Vaporeon, and they also capture a Houndour at night.
They train the two Pokemon at night time so that they can evolve into Umbreon and Houndoom in the end, and they also find a Mega Stone for Houndoom.
Umbreon: Ability: Synchronize. Moves: Mean Look, Last Resort, Guard Swap, Dark Pulse, Snarl, Moonlight
Houndoom: Ability: Early Bird/Solar Power (Mega). Moves: Howl, Flamethrower, Inferno, Thunder Fang, Crunch, Nasty Plot
A few days later, Ash and Alice see how Eve chats with Helen and Reisa about their jobs and works. Ash says, "It is nice to see you guys getting along."
"I am surprised to learn a lot of things that you do in your disguises." Eve says.
"We have also decided to have a celebration with the famous chef Helen's cooking." Reisa says. "For our new Professor Eve."
Then they have a feast in the castle as Eve really likes the dishes from Helen's Kitchen. While eating, Ash says, "So Eve, now that you've become a Professor, I want to ask you if you want to become a regional Professor, something like what Professor Sycamore and Professor Oak would do?"
Eve says, "I have heard everything from Flora here, you have been trying to make this island into a region, and you have already asked both Flora, Helen, and Reisa to become the new gym leaders. I won't mind becoming the Professor here, since I have been studying under Professor Sycamore."
"That's good to know." Alice says. "But since you also specialize in Dark-type, I wonder if it is possible that the Professor of the region is also a Gym Leader or Elite Four?"
Reisa says, "There is Blaine of the Seafoam Island, he is not only a professor but also a Gym Leader, but he is not a regional Professor...so I guess that's a no."
Eve says, "And instead of Gym Leader, how about I try being an Elite Four member?"
This causes them to be surprised, Eve says, "What? Dark types are usually for Elite Four. Spikemuth is the only Dark-type gym in the world, but the League has to force it to be unable to Dynamax."
"I guess that makes sense." Ash says.
Then after the meal is done, Ash has Eve show him her Pokemon, which are Mandibuzz, Sableye, Grimmsnarl, Umbreon, and Weavile. Then Eve is surprised to meet Arceus himself, and Arceus decides to let her handle Yveltal, much to her surprise.
"Even though we have an Elite Four member that is Dark-type, we need to find a Dark-type Gym Leader as well." Alice says. "This region is going to be different from the rest since we are going to have 18 gyms in total."
"18 gyms in total sounds like a great deal. I mean, even though the official badge to enter the League is 8..." Alice says.
"The truth is that I got 18 badges in Paldea." Ash says while showing the badges. Alice says, "Wait, there are 18 badges? I thought there are only 8 badges in Paldea... where are the other 10 from?"
Eve says, "Not to mention that some of the badges seemed to be made with the materials of the original gym badges..."
Ash says, "Five of them were given to me by my friend Arven, as a prize for helping him gather 5 different Herba Mysticas. While the other 5 are from the bases of Team Star, I beat their leader and they handed me the badges."
Alice says, "Oh right, you did help Team Star in the past. My classmates have been talking about that a lot."
Eve says, "Classmates? That reminds me. How is your school life doing?"
Alice says, "It's really better compared to the old High School. Everyone is friendly and nice to hang around with, and it is also thanks to Ash... bullying seems to be a severe crime in the school right now."
"Director Clavell really doesn't want another Team Star incident to happen." Ash says. "And he's also happy to hear that you're going well with the other students."
"I know. He has been taking good care of me when it comes to individual studies like the Treasure Hunt." Alice says as they all nod.
Here is a new chapter, and in this chapter, Eve finally becomes a Professor and she agrees to help Ash and the others out with the new Sevestar Region. I hope you like this chapter and the next chapter will be more Dark Type Pokemon's capturing.
