Sorry this chapter took so long to update. K got too stressed to write and I was already dealing with a few other stories. School didn't help either. Written by M~ Edited by K and B.
Snape strode through the hallways in the basement, rubbing his temples; the troublesome students he had the misfortune of teaching made his head ache and his blood pressure rise. He absconded away from the throngs of people in the hallways with ease, arriving at his quarters in almost no time flat. The door creaked as he pushed it open, as per usual. He generally took solace in routine and familiarity, consciously choosing not to fix the hinges.
Of course today, something was off. As he stepped past the threshold he was bombarded by scents galore, herbs spices and a thousand other things he could name. He would be almost pleased by it, if it weren't wafting from his bedroom! Taking in the odd state of his surroundings, he was surprised to find one of his work tables filled with food that he so obviously never ordered. Roma seemed to have been using some of his potions equipment to cook . . . anything and everything.
"What are you doing?" demanded Snape. Roma lifted his head and smiled.
"You have so much fine food here! Why didn't you tell me you have pork in this place? It is so rare to see and you aren't even using it for a sacrifice!" Roma chimed.
Snape sputtered in confusion. This full grown man was roasting pork cutlets with tongs and was more worried about the food then anything else. He hadn't even told him the name of his grandson that is supposedly running around in the school. The professor soon got lost in his thoughts, failing to notice that Roma had set up a makeshift dining set on a smaller work table.
"Come sit, Severus and eat this tasty food with me," Roma said as he dragged Snape by the arm to the table. He pulled the chair out for him and pushed it in once he sat down.
Snape slowly picked up a fork and slowly took a bite of the pork. His eyes widened as his mouth burst with flavour. Roma smiled as his new companion chewed profusely.
I take it you like it?" Roma inquired with a sweet smile. Severus nodded his head vigorously.
"I haven't had something so wonderful in so long. What did you use to flavour this?" asked the raven-haired male.
"I found some things like spices and this one small little bottle in a cabinet over there and it looked like it would add flavour to it so I covered the meat in it. You don't have any left though..." he trailed off. He looked curious as Snape's face paled.
"That little bottle wouldn't happen to be green, would it?" Severus asked slowly.
The brunet shook his head up and down, "It was in fact a deep green."
Veritaserum, this crazy man had covered the pork in a truth serum. Now he hoped to god that he could some how avoid any provoking questions that the serum would force him to answer.
"So Severus," Roma began, "Have you met my grandson yet?"
"You never told him his name to begin with," Snape said plainly.
"His name is Feliciano! He can be such a trouble maker but he really is a lovable idiot. He is so artsy too," Roma chimed.
"Oh, I know who he is," Snape said while glaring daggers at Roma, "What that boy needs is discipline, something you obviously did not place much emphasis on, bringing him up with his head in the clouds like that."
The brunette scratched the back of his head with a small grimace, "It was . . . complicated raising him. Any supervision was given from his, ah, cousins Roderich and Elizaveta. Does your opinion of me change since you know I am Feliciano's grandfather?"
"I suppose not. It would likely bother me more if you didn't have the looks and remarkable cooking skills to make up for it. You do seem kind, but it would be up to me to bring order to the family if we were ever to raise children. I'm not saying that we will, or even get past the awkwardness that I am creating but you do seem like a really generous man and your eyes are always filled with such . . . passionate emotions. I'm going to go now before I make this worse," Snape spilled out, horrified, hating himself more and more as each word spilled out. He stood up and started to leave before he felt a hand wrap around his wrist.
He turned around slowly and stared at the deep brown eyes of the foreign man. He was too lost in those eyes to hear what was being said. He tried to focus but it was futile. When he could finally break away, he felt guilty since Roma looked like was expecting an answer.
"I'm sorry, but would you mind repeating what you said?" Snape asked. Roma rolled his eyes and fiercely grabbed the back of Snape's head to make their lips meet. Severus mewled into the kiss once he got past the initial shock. Once they broke for air, Severus's face flushed into a deep red. He turned quickly turned and made his escape. He shut himself in his room and felt strong emotions beginning to rack through his body. He liked being kissed by Roma. He enjoyed his company, his laughter, his smile. He hadn't felt this way since he was in love with Lily. He felt like he was betraying her by enjoying his time with this random guy who just showed up and ambled his way into his life. Tears started to stream down his face at the conflicting emotions of love and guilt. He wanted to bury his heart and become a hermit. He couldn't stay in his room forever, but maybe he could just stay in here and hide for a little while longer.
