CHAPTER 1- THE BOY

Bang!

The sound of a gun was fired scared the crows. The group of crows flew in rush and panic , sensing something bad nearby them and decided to escape. In the forest, something else was running away too. It was not a something, but someone. The figure was moving fast, from branches to branches, moved like an animal. He was panting hard due to running for too long.

"Damn hunters" he muttered under his breath. He swiftly push himself to the right to avoid a tall tree that was blocking his way. His fury ears peaked when he heard some hunters who were chasing not far from behind him.

"Damn dogs! They just can't stay still" he heard a male's voice shouted in anger. The sound of the riffle ready was followed

"Well it wouldn't run away if you just put on the mute" this time, a female.

"But the mute is too complicated to-" and he decided not to focus on the conversation but how to shake them off his tail.

The figure jumped higher and higher as he moved from trees to trees. He stopped when he was able to find himself a spot that could hide himself behind. He let himself blend in with the shadows made by the thick leaves. Golden eyes watching carefully on the ground. Not long after, two figures of the hunters' could be seen. They looked around their surroundings, trying to spot anything moving except the trees dancing with the wind.

"Here good doggy~ I have fresh juicy meat at my home!" the same female cooed, her too sweet voice sounded scary. She was breathing heavily as if excited, a tint of saliva could be seen dripping from her mouth. The golden eyes boy could only sigh in disgust mentally. Her brown hair tied into a messy pony tail. Glasses fogged a little by her heavy breathing of hot air. Her gun was firm on her hand. She was wearing the same uniform as the other hunters do. Talk about 'manners'. Aren't all hunters are supposed to be 'elegant'? "Come with me and I'll give you nice tre-" but she was interrupted by a smack on her head.

"Shut the fuck up, Hanji. I can't hear anything. And no, you can't trick a dog by saying you have meat in your home" another male joined into the group of duo. A hand holding his weapon another hand wiping the sword with a white cloth.

Golden eyes looked around the surrounding, trying to find an escape before being caught. He can't hide forever there. The hunters might decide to camp there till they found the 'dog'. He tched mentally. This is no normal situation like he was in. He's locked as targets by not normal hunters, but elites. Of all the hunter teams in the forest he could bump into, it has to be the elite one. Joy. Guess that he doesn't have a choice.

The raven stared silently at one of the trees, his alarm banging in his head loudly that he's having a headache. He raised an elegant hand and rubbed his forehead.

"Hey Levi, are you alright? Are you having headaches again? You've been getting that constantly now" Hanji said as she placed a hand on his shoulder, which harshly being shoved away.

"Shut up shitty glasses. It's normal to have headache when you're surrounded by big-ass trees and two humans who doesn't know what the hell is clean" Levi muttered in disgust. Just when he's about to say another insult, rustling sound interrupted them.

"AARRGHHHH!" a voice came from the tree Levi had been staring at. A human. The figure was shouting as he fall, and his butt hit the ground with another groan in pain. Hunters stared at the newcomer, their guards up. Even if it's just a human, he might be one of the humans who worship the 'dogs'. "That hurts... M-My butt..." the male muttered out loud, kneeling to his knees as he rubbed one of his butt cheeks to decrease the pain. His back was facing the hunters.

"What are you doing here?" Levi was the one that started a conversation, disgusted at how dirty he was. The human stopped rubbing and turned his head to have a better look.

"E-Eh...?" beautiful turquoise eyes met with silver grey. The boy who had just fell from the tree looked skinny though tanned. Dirt and scratches from the tree and mud covered his clothes and body. The once white long sleeved shirt were now creamy and brown, his black pants torn due to the branches. If it was not for his height and flat chest, Levi would have thought that he's a girl. "O-Oh.." the human muttered when he realized what uniforms their're wearing. He forced himself to stand up with the tree as a support. "A-Are you guys.. hunters..?" he let his back lean against the tree, his body shivering visibly in fear. Hunters are feared and despised after all.

"Oh dear-" Hanji pushed the shortest of of them all aside and rushed to the human. She tried to dust away the dirt as much as possible. "-please do forgive the grumpy shorty old man-"

"DO YOU WISH TO DIE HERE FOUR EYES?!"

"- I'm Hanji! Can you tell us what's your name?" her voice was too sweet and creepy grin plastered on her face, like a mad scientist. Maybe she is one?

"E-Eren Jaeger.. miss" the brunet pushed himself from the tree, letting the female support him.

"Well then Eren-" she snaked an arm around Eren's waist, leaning closer. Eren could feel her breathing beside his ear. "-Can you tell us why are you in this woods of all places in the world..?" It's not an everyday event that a human entered the woods ruled by said 'dogs' without protections.

"I-I have no intention of coming here!" the boy waved both hands in panic. "M-My horse..J-Jean! I was taking a walk with him but a rat popped out. Jean is afraid of rats. I fell from him and he ran into the woods! H-He's my favourite horse.. I-I can't just let him get caught by the creatures here.." Eren tilted his head down, his eyes locked on his bare feet.

"Aww you poor thing! " Hanji wrapped both arms around the boy and squeezed him into a bear hug. "And now you're lost in this scary woods aren't you?" she cooed like she's talking to a baby.

"Damn it four eyes, stop molesting every human you see." Levi sighed tiredly, he swiftly kicked the woman in the guts with his knee. Hanji coughed and fell to the floor, clinging on her stomach.

"H-haha.. G-Good one.. L-Levi!" said man ignored her and his attention on the boy.

"A-Are you going to kill me...?" turquoise eyes met again with silver grey. If you stare harder, you could see tint of golden in the boy's eyes when the light reflect. After a few minutes of awkward silent, Levi broke the ice.

"For now, no. The sun's setting and we need to get out of this place before the 'dogs' are out. Mike" he called the forgotten male "you take the four eyes." Eren yelped when he was lifted and tossed onto the shorter male's shoulder like a sack of potato. "don't struggle, hold tight. Or I'll drop you." Before Eren could get the chance to ask, he was being carried away.

"Dogs..dogs...dogs..DOGS! Why do they keep calling us dogs?! We're not dogs! We don't wag our tail when humans that so called 'masters' got home! We're not men's best friends! But enemies! Stupid humans, thinking that they could cage us like a home dogs. One day I'll wipe them off..

I WON'T LET MY WOLFS CLAN SUFFER LIKE A CAGED BIRD"

They arrived right before the sun set. It was much faster to use 3D gears than horses. Eren was tossed to the ground when they landed on ground. His hand on his mouth, face looking green and pale. Mike took off first to place the Hanji in pain to rest, leaving Eren in Levi's hands.

"I-I'm going to-"

"Don't you dare puke in front of me or I'll shove my boots up your ass, brat"

"Y-Yes ..sir.." Eren gulped down the vomit that's going towards his throat.

"Where's your home,brat?" but he was answered with silence. He waited for another 5 minutes for an answer, and Levi hates waiting. "Well?"

"I.." Eren once again looked down "I don't have a home.." well that explained why he's shoeless.

With another tired sigh, he dragged the brunet by the hand and muttered "Brats"
