Near Tucson, in a deep, dark crevice at the bottom of Glory Gulch an angry creature stirred. Its mouth spread wide, hungering for something it couldn't have. Its talons, more claws than fingers scrabbled at the dank earth. The bright glare of the sun hurt its wild eyes. The succubus, referred to at least once as la belle dame sans merci, scuttled further into the darkness.
"I don't care how long it takes," she snarled.
Her mouth opened wide; her teeth gnashed in frustration. One of her claws snatched up a grubworm. She popped it into her gaping maw, crushing the hapless morsel between her powerful mandibles. Then claws reached to pull a cork from a small green bottle. She slurped the fine whiskey. Looking more like its true nature, than a woman, the diabolical creature licked her wounds and plotted. Ella settled in to wait.
"I'll be back Chris," she hissed. "You're mine!"
