A Christmas Surprise!
Santana was like every year with rather mixed feeling on her way to her parents to spend Christmas with them. Although she was very happy to sit by the fireplace and read or walk with her dad's Labrador Jackson. She enjoyed the traditional food for the holiday or the cookies what her mother baked. But one thing hated Santana, the questions from her parents about grandchildren or someone she would spent the whole life with.
The black haired woman was now 24 years old and lived since graduation in New York, but still she hadn't found "Mrs Right". Her parents always talked about this when she came home for Christmas. But Santana herself had to admit that she dreamed about a big family and sooner or later having little Santana's running around. Actually it was always just a dream. But in the time she wasn't interested in love and stayed single.
In the last year she hadn't met anyone, not in her job or private. Sure Santana had her moments, back in highschool with some chick called Dani, but when they graduated and separated their ways they broke up. Dani was Santana's first love.
When the 24 year old woman finally got onto the highway she thought about the presents her parents got her this year. It couldn't get any worse like the years before. Two years ago her parents got her a coupon for a makeover. In this time Santana found a studio where she should get the makeover. In the end she just got informed about using lipstick and nail polish.
The following year when Santana thought it couldn't get any worse, it did. Her parents got her a six month registration for some internet dating thing. But Santana refused and her parents were disappointed.
The black haired woman thought what her parents got her this year. Maybe a weekend for single people in a nice hotel somewhere.
When Santana finally arrived the day before christmas eve, the only thing her parents talked about was what she might get for christmas and of course love and grandchildren.
First the woman thought about getting a little puppy to keep her company. Sometimes Santana thought it was a mistake to tell them it wouldn't be a problem to get a pet to New York. After a while she could get some information about her present. Everything Santana knew was, that it would be a creature and it mean soon enough everything to her. And now Santana was 100 % sure she would get a puppy.
The big day was getting there, but still Santana couldn't get hear any barking or any noise a dog would make. Not even Jackson showed excitement. Maybe the puppy for her was just at the neighbors or so.
The christmas tree were light up and everyone sang their christmas carols and now it was finally time for the presents. Santana wasn't really happy about the puppy but still she would smile about a present like this. What her wondered was, why her parents where so nervous.
Everyone were interrupted when the doorbell rang and Santana had to go to answer the door. She opened it slowly. Her jaw dropped and her eyes got wide. In the doorway was standing a tall, beautiful, blonde woman with ocean blue eyes and a smile on her face. And in her arms was a sleeping puppy. Santana never saw this girl before but she was beyond beautiful. And to Santana's surprise the puppy wasn't the only present she got for christmas.
