Hi everyone and welcome back.

I've finally pulled myself together and made the next chapter of Willow's diary. There's some new stuff waiting for you, so have a good read.

28th of Rosefire, 1985

Jennifer has proven most adept at aiding me in my research. Together, the two of us managed to map out most of the Sanctum in a single day. I compared it with my map from last time and they are largely alike. I assume the difference is due to Jennifer drawing the map in scale, rather than my crude drawing. After supper, Jennifer asked if I could teach her how to translate the ancient writing. Having an additional set of eyes would certainly be beneficial. I have decided to teach her when we return to the village.

I am almost sure now, that Jennifer and I are not alone up here. While we were going through the Sanctum these past few days, documenting everything in sight, I had the surest feeling we were being watched. Jennifer says I'm just being paranoid, but I know that there is something up here. We leave for Nesot Village tomorrow, after which I'll need a day or two to sort everything out. Jennifer said she would swing by in a few days, when she had time.

Summer is here, and I'm back at my laboratory. I only hope that my research yields more results this tmie.

5th of Coppersun, 1985

Jennifer is a librarian! I didn't notice it before, but she is slim of figure and with blond hair as well. I cannot help but wonder what my therapist would say about that…

7th of Coppersun, 1985

I got a letter from Sarah today. I never expected to hear from her again, so the letter comes as a surprise. It seems to have been long underway, as it's dated nearly 3 months back. She wanted me to know that our child, my child, has been born. A healthy baby boy. My boy. My son.

10th of Coppersun, 1985

I've been a mess these past few days since I heard from Sarah, but I think I'm getting better now. I've finally started to look at some of the research data I gathered from the Sanctum, and so far, everything matches up with what I found last time I was there. I can only hope that once my translation of all this begins, that I will uncover new secrets.

"And lo and behold, as the King spread its wings from atop of the Sanctum and took flight. Its feathers glistened and with a single beat of its wings it drove away the dark clouds. As it angled itself downwards, a jet of flames burst from its mouth, sending the wild, savage beasts running." I'm finding these anecdotes all over the place. But I cannot for the life of me understand why an entire Sanctum would be dedicated to anecdotes such as these. A library, perhaps, but not a Sanctum…

Sa… Jennifer has been diligent in her aiding me and while it is a slow process, she is a diligent student and is learning faster than I anticipated. Even if her translations are still crude, and even if I'm still checking them, she has been a great help.

23th of Coppersun, 1985

I have found something very strange, which I have yet to share with Jennifer. One of my earliest photos from the Sanctum revealed a carving of the King, whatever it might be. But in a more recent photo, the carving has changed, removing the King from the image entirely. I fail to see how this is possible, and indeed, it may just be my mind playing tricks on me. Or maybe the lightning was bad. In either case, I have made a mental note of investigating this the next time I'm at the Sanctum.

26th of Coppersun, 1985

I got a call from a fellow Professor today, Maple, I think her name was. She told me she was living in Dolg City, the Capital of Gawaro. Soon, it will be time for another batch of Trainers to begin their journey, and due to the size of the Region, she has asked if I could give out Pokémon to Trainers from the North-Western part of Gawaro. I told her I would think about it and call her back tomorrow. While it may detract from my research, I have no plans of moving anytime soon. I suppose clearing a week in my schedule won't do much harm.

27th of Coppersun, 1985

I called Maple back today and told her yes. She was overjoyed and would send an aide to help me get everything set up in preparation for the Trainers. Seems like this will be more work than expected.

1st of Goldsun, 1985

The aide Maple sent arrived today, along with a huge load of supplies. Most of the supplies consist of Pokémon food, as well as equipment to do some basic treatment on Pokémon. The aide is staying to help me get everything setup in time for the Trainer's departure. I have a nagging feeling that I won't get much research done the next few months.

9th of Goldsun, 1985

Over the past week I've had a few pleasant surprises. Chief among them is my new living arrangements. As it turns out, another helper of Maple's used to live in a mansion just on the outskirts of Nesot. Said mansion belongs to the GLA (Gawaro League Administration), and has been granted to me, so that I may conduct my official business there. Moving all my stuff did take some time but I've settled into my new home. It's a lot more spacious than my former living arrangements and I already like it here.

Secondly, Maple's aide brought along a few Pokémon for me to play with. No really, those were his words. "Play with them and get to know them. That way you'll be better equipped to advice young Trainers." So, I've tried to do just that. The Charmander seems overly fond of trying to burn my coat, however, and my boots have multiple bite marks from Totodile's teeth. Despite this, I have found some joy in toying around with them, and I shall be sad to see them off in a month.

28th of Goldsun, 1985

Maple's aide left today. It's funny, we spent a month together and already I've forgotten his name. Even so, this unnamed aide has been a tremendous help in getting everything set up. The mansion has been equipped with all the newest technology, which will be maintained by the GLA. I do believe I'm now fully prepared for when the Trainers come.

5th of Silversun, 1985

I've sent off three young Trainers today. Each were equipped with a Pokémon of their choosing, a few Poké Balls and a Pokédex. After sending them off I contacted Maple, who told me of another two Trainers coming either tomorrow or the day after. After that, I should be able to return to my studies.

10th of Silversun, 1985

I've been told by Maple that there will be no more Trainers until the beginning of Emberleaf and she asked if I would help her out again. I told her I would be happy too, as everything has already been set up now. In order to better prepare myself for the next Trainers, she suggested I read some books she would send over, as well as some research papers. It seems like I shall have to put my investigations into the Sanctum on hold for the time being. I have informed Jennifer, who took the news with some sadness but wished me the best of luck with my new endeavor.

There you have it. Shorter than last time, somewhat less coherent, but it's from Willow's mind so that sounds about right. I just realized that since I'm placing Willow in his mid 20s here, he's about 65 when the Gawaro Chronicles starts. Further more, he was a student of Rowan's before he moved to Gawaro, meaning that Rowan and Oak are old, if not dead, while Elm, Birch and Juniper are getting up in the years... Doesn't help any as this will probably be moved 20 years up (2005) so the actual story takes place 2045... As much as I try to make it seamless, continuity is a bitch.

Anyway, I'm working on chapter 3 as well, which may or may not be up soon.
