Volume 6:
Chapter 28: No Fan of a Con Man
We see the family packing up their stuff into the ship.
Among the few ítems were plants.
They were getting ready to return to Earth.
They already missed their home.
Especially the kids.
Which is why they were heading back home today. They had everything packed up in a few minutes.
"Okay, that's everything", Sam said.
Hordak asked the kids, "everyone ready to go?"
"Yes daddy", the kids said.
Prime said, "very good. Let's head to the ship."
The family then was on their way back to the ship.
Soon, they made it to the ship, and were greeted by One-One.
"Hello everyone! I hope you all enjoyed your trip on Agoth", One-One said.
Sam said, "it was perfect, One-One."
"And we look forward to visiting this planet again", Leia said.
Luke said, "very soon."
The family then went inside the ship.
A few minutes later, the ship took off….
The kids were drinking some milkshakes as they stared out the window.
They all had big smiles on their faces.
Evelyn and her siblings were playing with Luke, Leia and Sam.
It was a great way to pass the time during the trip.
"I'm bored", Gwen said.
"Me too", Kane said.
Eda said, "well, that didn't take too long."
Gwen said, "can you blame us mom?"
"Waiting gets us bored easily", Jobal said.
Anakin said, "maybe a story will help?"
The kids all quickly gathered around.
Panda asked, "what's this story about?"
"Oh it's a story about how we were nearly conned and almost lost the diner", Anakin said.
Everyone said, "WHAT?!"
"Oh yeah I remember! I think I was 12 years old when it happened", Sam said.
Anakin said, "yeah. Anyway; here's how it went down…."
….
Cue flashback….
We see the Skywalker's driving along….
On an almost scary looking road.
Padme asked, "you're sure our friends are gonna meet us there?"
"I'm positive, I gave them a call before we left and they said they were already on their way", Anakin said.
Padme said, "good."
"This looks so scary", Sam said in fear.
Anakin said, "it'll be okay, sweety."
Leia pats Sam's head as she tries to calm her little brother down.
This helped a little.
It took a few minutes but the family made it to their destination.
A scary looking Mansion.
Sam whimpered in fear at the sight of the mansion.
Padme said, "it'll be okay, sweety."
Sam held his older brother's hand as they walked towards the mansion.
Leia said, "this place gives me the creeps."
"You said it Leia", Luke said.
Sam was clutching his brother's hand, as their father rang the doorbell.
Soon, someone opened the door.
It was a man who appeared to be in his sixties. He looked creepy as Hell.
"I see you made it", the man said.
Sam hid behind Luke as he felt scared of the man.
Padme said, "um, yes. Have our friends made it?"
"Yes, they are inside waiting", the man said.
Anakin said, "well then, lead the way."
The man let out a creepy smile as he led the Skywalker Family inside.
Luke made a loopy gesture.
Sam stayed close to his brother and sister the whole time. He didn't like this place.
And he kept getting a bad feeling about that creepy man.
Like he was hiding something awful.
Sam then saw a few of his friends and family sitting in the living room.
This included Ahsoka, Hunter, Rex, Beru, Obi Wan and Owen.
Anakin said, "hey everyone."
"Hello Anakin", Obi Wan said.
"Well, it looks like you got here a bit later", Ahsoka said.
"Hey Sam", Hunter said.
Sam said, "hi everybody."
Sam and his family then sat down.
Padme asked, "so what's this all for anyway?"
"Well dear, to start; my name is Sheev Palpatine, and the reason I wanted you all to come here was because I wanted to make a deal with you and your family about something that can help your diner", Palpatine said.
Anakin raised an eyebrow and asked, "what the heck are you talking about?"
Palpatine let out a smile.
Palpatine said, "I'm in the business of helping other businesses make money."
Sam still had that bad feeling as he heard Palpatine say that.
It seemed like he was up to something.
Palpatine then told more and more about his business.
His business was basically an investment company.
And that for years he had helped various small diners or stores gain more money.
Anakin and Padme glanced at one another.
"Well…. We'll give our answer in the morning", Padme said.
Anakin said, "yeah. I'd imagine the kids are tired."
Sam let out a yawn as he did feel sleepy and tired. Luke and Leia chuckled.
"Well then, the guest bedrooms are upstairs", Palpatine said.
The others nodded.
Anakin picked up Sam and carried his youngest son in his arms.
Sam clung to his dad like a koala.
Not only because he was tired, but because he was still feeling scared.
That Palpatine guy just gave him the creeps.
"Well everyone, have a good night's sleep", Palpatine said with a chuckle.
The family went into their room.
Sam was tucked into his bed.
Sam was hugging his plushie close.
Padme kissed Sam's forehead.
"Mommy, I keep having a bad feeling", Sam said.
Leia said, "us too."
"Something is off about that Palpatine guy", Luke said.
Anakin said, "I agree."
Sam hugged his plushie even more.
Padme said, "it'll be okay sweety."
Sam let out a small smile.
"Well, let's get a good night's sleep", Anakin said.
The others all nodded.
Anakin and Padme then kiss Sam's forehead.
Sam gave a small smile.
….
We then see almost everyone was asleep.
They looked so peaceful.
Owen was up as he had gone to the bathroom and was now heading back to his room.
But suddenly, he was pulled into the shadows by something!
Owen let out a scream of fright, which woke the others.
Luke asked, "what the heck was that?!"
"That sounded like Uncle Owen", Leia said.
Anakin said, "that can't be good."
"Let's go see", Padme said.
Luke asked, "you think that's a good idea?"
"We have to see what happened at least", Padme said.
"One of us should stay here with Sam", Luke said.
Leia said, "I will."
"Okay, let's go", Anakin said.
"Please be careful", Sam whimpered.
Padme said, "we will. We promise."
The rest of the family minus Leia and Sam, head out the door.
They glanced around the dark halls.
"Look, it's Uncle Owen's nightcap", Luke said as he spotted it on the floor.
Padme whispered, "that ain't comforting."
Anakin asked, "where could he be?"
Luke said, "we better find out."
"Let's go see Aunt Beru and tell her", Luke said.
They ran to Owen and Beru's room as fast as they could!
Luke opened the door.
But no-one is there!
"Aunt Beru", Luke called out.
Anakin whispered, "what the Hell is going on?"
"We better wake up the others", Padme said.
The others nodded in agreement.
...
Ahsoka said, "so wait, Beru and Owen are gone?"
Luke said, "yeah. Something bad is going on!"
Sam whimpered and hugged Leia.
She whispered, "it's gonna be okay."
Sam kept hugging Leia.
Rex asked, "so what do we do?"
"We go find them", Anakin said.
Hunter said, "we're right behind you."
"We just have to be careful", Padme said.
The others all nodded in agreement.
….
We then see the Skywalker family in a room.
They were looking around for clues.
Sam called out, "Uncle Owen? Aunt Beru?"
But there was no reply.
"There has to be a clue somewhere." Leia said.
"Maybe there is one in the closet", Luke said.
Hunter said, "I ain't opening it!"
Luz asked, "why not?"
Hunter said, "there might be something scary in there!"
Amity said as she rolled her eyes, "really?"
Anakin walked over to the closet.
He then opened it up.
Then a floating coat popped out!
Everyone screamed in shock!
"A haunted coat", Sam screamed.
Ahsoka yelled, "everybody run!"
Everyone then jumped into Anakin's arms.
He started running!
The flying coat chased after the group.
Sam yelled, "crap baskets! Keep running!"
"I'm trying", Anakin shouted.
Padme yelled, "how the Hell is that coat doing that?!"
"Maybe because it's a ghost", Gus shouted.
Ahsoka yelled, "ghost's ain't real!"
"Tell it to the coat chasing us", Luke shouted.
Anakin kept running as the coat kept chasing them.
Rex yelled, "we gotta escape this thing!"
"Can't you see I'm running as fast I can", Anakin shouted.
Padme yelled, "run faster!"
The group kept screaming as the coat chased them.
Then Anakin tripped over a loose floorboard.
They all went flying!
Sam fell in front of the flying coat along with Hunter. They both screamed in fright!
Then the coat fell to the ground and out came a bat!
This made everyone groan.
"It was just a freaking bat", Hunter said.
Leia groaned, "the Hell?!"
"That dumb bat scared us half to death", Luke said.
Gus said, "dumb bat."
Ahsoka asked, "hey, where is Rex and Obi-Wan?"
Everyone said, "oh no…."
They looked to see Obi Wan and Rex were gone!
Anakin asked, "where did they go?"
"They were there a second ago", Padme said.
Luke said, "we gotta find them!"
The group then got up and began to search.
They had to find their missing friends and family!
"Obi Wan", Anakin called out.
"Uncle Rex", Luke called out.
Leia said, "where could they be?"
They all kept searching.
There was no sign of them!
Anakin then felt a hand on his shoulder.
He gulped, "please tell me that's one of you guys?"
"Uh no", the others said.
Anakin squeaked, "I was afraid of that…."
Anakin turned around.
Standing there was…. A ghost!
The ghost growled, "so you dare trespass!?"
Padme yelled, "we were invited here!"
The ghost chuckled and said "well then it looks Palpatine didn't tell you that Sidious doesn't like trespassers!"
Luke asked, "who the Hell is Sidious?"
"I was the original owner of this mansion and those who dare trespass will suffer my wrath", Sidious growled as he began to float.
Ahsoka yelled, "GHOST!"
Sam ran out screaming in fear.
Everyone yelled, "Sam!"
Luz, Amity, Hunter, Willow and Gus ran after their friend.
They had to get away!
Sam kept running until he accidentally tripped.
"Ow", Sam cried.
Hunter quickly made it to his best friend and helped him up.
He said, "I gotcha buddy!"
Sam hugged his best friend.
Luz and the others made it.
"Are you o….", Luz asked, but then a trapped door opened under their feet.
The group fell down a trap door.
They all screamed in terror.
They fell down what seemed to be a slide.
Gus was the only one to go, "weeeeee!"
The group screamed all the way down, and then they hit the ground.
They all groaned in pain.
Hunter asked, "is everyone okay?"
"I think so", Willow groaned.
"Ow, my head", Luz said.
Sam whimpered, "where are we?"
Hunter said, "I think we're in a basement."
"I can tell by judging by all the stuff in here", Gus said.
"Let's find a way out", Amity said.
Luz said, "agreed. We gotta find the others."
The kids began to find a door to get out.
They searched throughout the whole room.
Sam then tapped on a wall and a secret passage opened!
He said, "I found something!"
The others walked over.
Hunter said, "good job, Sam."
Sam let out a smile.
"It looks dark in there", Gus said.
"Let's hold hands so we don't get separated", Willow said.
The others nodded in agreement.
The group then walked down the cavern passage.
Amity said, "this is getting crazy…."
"I know right", Luz said.
Sam said, "I hope we find the others."
"I think I see a light", Hunter said.
Luz said, "let's head towards it."
The kids then head towards the light.
They were eager to get outta there.
The group managed to exit the passageway and they found themselves in some sort of…. Cavern?
Gus whispered, "what the heck?"
"This looks to be some sort of secret cavern", Willow said.
Amity said, "maybe we'll find the others in here?"
"Let's go find them", Hunter said.
The kids kept walking close to one another.
As they were walking…. Sam noticed something.
"Hey look", Sam said.
There was a small desk and some paper was on it.
The kids walked over to it.
Luz asked, "what is that?"
Sam asked, "it's the Skywalker Diner, but why would someone have a document about my family's diner?"
Hunter said, "I'm starting to think that this Palpatine guy brought us here just to get his hands on the diner."
Willow asked, "but why?"
"The only way we'll answer that is to ask Palpatine himself", Hunter said.
Amity said, "we gotta find them then."
As the kids were about to move, the ghost of Sidious appeared!
The kids screamed in fright!
"You will all pay with your lives for trespassing", Sidious roared.
The kids jumped onto Hunter's arms as he began to run!
Sidious raced after them, cackling like a wild animal!
The kids kept screaming in fear.
"Get away from us", Luz screamed.
As Hunter was running he tripped over a wire.
Suddenly, the frightening phantom vanished in thin air!
Sam exclaimed, "where did he go!?"
Hunter picked up the cable in confusion.
Hunter then saw the cable lead to a projector.
He growled, "that was no ghost! That was a projection!"
"What!? So that was all fake", Luz said.
"So could this mean, what I think it means", Amity asked.
Gus exclaimed, "this was all a setup!"
"And we all know who is behind this", Hunter said.
"We just need to find my parents and the others", Sam said.
Gus said, "let's get searching then."
The kids then resumed their search for the adults.
They needed to solve this whole thing!
Sam stayed close to his best friend.
"Hey, I hear something", Willow said.
Hunter said, "it might be the others!"
Gus said, "come on! Let's go see!"
The kids then run to a room and look inside.
The others were all in there; tied up!
The kids ran over.
"Mom! Dad! Luke! Leia", Sam said.
Sam ran to his parents and siblings as Hunter started untying them.
The kids then began to untie the others.
Luz asked, "what happened?"
Luke growled, "some jerkwads kidnapped us all!"
"Well at least we found you", Amity said.
"Mom, Dad, we found some documents on the diner in a room in this cavern", Sam said.
Hunter said, "we think that this Palpatine guy wants the diner."
"I always knew that man couldn't be trusted", Luke said.
Ahsoka asked, "so now what do we do?"
"We have to find a way out of here and call the police", Anakin said.
"Which is not gonna happen."
Everyone turned to see Palpatine standing there!
"Palpatine", everyone said.
Sam hid behind his parents.
Palpatine gave an evil grin.
"So this was all a trap", Hunter shouted.
Palpatine chuckled, "indeed it was. And you all fell for it."
Padme shouted, "what do you want with us?!"
Palpatine said, "I don't want you…. I want your diner."
Anakin shouted, "what the Hell do you want with the diner!?"
Palpatine asked, "why else? To make money."
"Well you are not going to get your hands on the diner", Padme shouted.
Palpatine growled, "wanna bet?"
Then Palpatine's henchmen appeared.
Sam whimpered in fear as he hugged his father's legs.
Anakin growled as he held Sam close.
"Heads up!"
Something fell on top of the henchmen!
"Whooo, I got them", Luz shouted.
"Way to go Luz", Amity shouted.
"Let's find a way out of here", Hunter said.
Everyone started to run!
"After them, you fools", Palpatine shouted.
Sam held onto his father as they ran.
They all had to get outta this place!
"Oh crap here they come", Owen shouted.
The henchmen raced after them!
Sam cried in fear as he held onto his father.
He didn't wanna get caught!
The group quickly found a spot to hide.
"Phew, we're safe for now", Ahsoka said.
"But we need to think of a plan to stop Palpatine and his henchmen", Padme said.
The others all nodded. They needed a plan!
"I have a plan", Sam said.
Everyone leaned in to hear Sam's plan.
….
Palpatine and his men were searching for the others.
They looked every which way.
"Come out you weaklings", Palpatine growled.
Palpatine clearly wanted that diner!
Then something appeared in front of them.
Something…. Scary!
Both Palpatine and his henchmen froze at the figure.
It was a large hulking figure in frightening black armor, with glowing red eyes!
One of the Henchmen said in fear, "who is that!?"
The figure growled, "I am Vader! And you are doomed!"
A few of the Henchmen ran off!
Palpatine tried to stand his ground and look brave.
He growled, "this is a trick!"
Vader then snapped his fingers.
More figures appeared.
The girls popped up in Nightsister makeup, wailing like banshees!
Palpatine then looked scared as he tried back away.
The boys popped up with black and red face paint and horns on their heads!
Palpatine shouted, "what is this!?"
"You shall suffer the curse of Vader", everyone shouted.
Palpatine screamed like a little girl.
"Bring him to me", Vader growled.
The others stalked towards Palpatine, wailing scarily!
Palpatine ran away screaming like a little girl.
"After him", Vader roared.
The group ran after the old man!
Palpatine soon caught up with his henchmen as they kept running!
They were all scared out of their wits!
Then they were all caught in a net!
They all yelled as they hung in the air.
Vader and the others began to laugh!
But these weren't creepy laughs. These were jovial laughs.
"You should have seen your faces", Hunter laughed.
Amity laughed, "you looked scared shitless!"
"I wish I had taken pictures", Luz laughed
Gus held up his phone and said, "I did!"
Palpatine shouted, "what is this!?"
Vader removed his mask.
It was Anakin under the mask, who laughed, "payback's a bitch!"
Palpatine growled in anger.
Padme said, "I'll go call the cops. Meanwhile, let the kids play pinata with these guys."
One of the henchmen asked, "what does she mean by that?"
The kids all pulled out baseball bats.
Palpatine and the others gulped.
This was not gonna end well….
….
One of the cops asked as they arrived, "what happened here?"
Padme said, "long story, sir."
The kids all still held their baseball bats. And they all had smiles on their faces.
Palpatine and his henchmen were all beat up. They all groaned in pain.
"Well looks like you finally caught the biggest con man in history", one of the cops said.
Anakin asked, "how long has he been up to this?"
"For about twenty years", the cops said.
The group yelled, "twenty years?!"
"Yep, he's been conning many businesses and stealing the rights from the owners", the cop said.
Sam growled, "jerkwad!"
"But thanks to you all, Palpatine will finally be going to jail", the cop said.
The family and friends all smiled.
"I was so close to getting my hands on that diner", Palpatine growled.
Sam said, "no you weren't."
"And I would have gotten away with it, if it wasn't for you meddling Skywalkers and your pesky friends", Palpatine growled.
Sam kicked Palpatine's leg.
Palpatine shouted in pain.
Sam blew a raspberry at the old man.
Palpatine growled, "you little turd!"
Now that made Anakin and Padme angry.
Luke picked up his little brother and shielded his eyes.
Anakin and Padme lunged at Palpatine!
Everyone, even the cops shielded their eyes.
Sam asked, "what's happening?"
Luke said, "something too violent for the authors to show."
Sam looked confused, but shrugged his shoulders.
This went on for a while.
But it was now over.
Palpatine, all beaten up, was pulled into the police car.
Anakin and Padme were holding Sam.
"That was a big mistake, insulting our son like that", Padme growled.
Palpatine groaned, "take me to prison."
Sam giggled at the sight.
The cops then drove Palpatine away.
"Well that wraps up this mystery", Hunter said.
The others said, "indeed."
Sam asked, "can we go back home now?"
Padme said, "sure sweety."
Sam smiled and hugged his parents.
He was happy to head home.
….
"And that's what happened", Anakin said
Adam said, "woah."
Charlie asked, "so you never saw that creep again?"
Anakin said, "nope."
"That's scary that you all nearly lost the diner to that creep", Alastor said.
Luke said, "not as scary as how ugly Palpatine was."
Marek asked, "was he really that ugly?"
Leia said, "he put the UG in ugly."
The kids shivered.
Anakin said, "yep."
Chiquis chirped as they flapped their wings.
Marek giggled at his pet.
Chiquis rubbed their head against Marek.
Marek pet the tiny bird.
"Lunch is ready", One-One said.
Everyone was quite hungry.
They all head to the kitchen.
One-One had some food ready.
"I'm starving", Galen said
Junior said, "me too."
The kids then sat down at the table first.
One-One had spread the food along the table for everyone to dig into.
"Thank you One-One", everyone said.
One-One said, "you're most welcome."
Everyone then began to dig in.
The food was delicious.
"We will be arriving back to earth in about 2 hours", One-One said.
Hordak said, "thanks One-One."
"No problem sir's", One-One said.
….
We then see the ship land back on earth.
Everyone got off one by one.
They carried their stuff back to their home.
They were happy to be home.
The kids were most happy to be back home.
They missed home so much.
Sam and his husbands were smiling at the sight of their kids.
They were too cute!
They saw how they were rolling around the floor in joy as they were happy to be home.
The adults all chuckled.
