Chapter 20

Lauren's p.o.v

It has been 2 months now since we left the square and after spending 2 weeks staying in hotels we went and Stayed in Ireland with my cousins Brendan and Cheryl and we are still staying with them now. Its grate here and i love living with them cause growing up we spent a lot of time with them and we get along so well. Especially Brendan even though he is only 10 years old then me he is like a second dad to me.

"Hey Lo are you going to come with me to look at a new place" Brendan said as he sat down next to me at the table eating some Jam toast.

"Yer i guess... Someone needs to make sure you choose a good one anyway cause if it was down to you we would probably being living in a flat with only one room cause its cheep and near where you work" i said smiling as he rolled his eyes at me.

"Ner" he said sticking his tongue out. "I could always wait till Joey's home and he could come with me" he said laughing as i scowled at him.

"Hands off... Get you own boyfriend" i said pouting... For some reason it has become something for Brendan to tease me about now and its all cause about 3 days after we came here Joey had come downstairs topless and Brendan being his normal teasing self was saying how hot he is which for some reason even though i knew he was only joking it made me extremely jealous and Joey of course was totally amused by my reaction.

"I do! remember" he said.

"Whatever lets just get going" i said grabbing my coat before pushing him out the door while he was still smirking.

I have to admit those first couple of days at the hotel were pretty lonely when we first left and Joey still wouldn't tell me what happened the day we left, And i think even some days now he wishes he hadn't told me what happened... now that day was a tough day cause i was all set to leave and go back to Walford until he blurted it out and i have to say what he said shocked me i never thought it would be anything like it was i just thought he had phoned the police or something.

*Flashback*

We have been staying i this hotel for a few days now and as much as this place is beautiful its nothing compared to being at what makes things worse is we pretty much sit here in silence, Joey hardly ever talks to me and he certainly won't tell me what happened no matter how hard i try to get him to talk to me. And now he is just layed next to me looking up at the ceiling.

"Joe why don't we go for a walk or something its a nice night" i said and he turned and looked at me properly for what must be the first time since we arrived.

"If you want" he mumbled getting off the bed and putting his coat on.

A while later we were walking along the beach that is not far from where we are staying and i could tell he didn't really want to be here so i stopped us from walking and turned to look at him.

"what" he said.

"What do you think Joe.. When are you going to tell me what happened you have barely spoken to me since we got here" i said sighing.

"I don't want to tell you at the moment I'm not ready" he snapped. "Look Lo i..." he started but i interrupted him.

"You know what when you decide to stop being a jerk and actually tell me what happened I'll be back in the hotel room" i said letting go of his hand and running off.

I ended up packing when i got back in the room i have had enough all i want to do is go home i miss my family.

"What are you doing Lauren" Joey said as he walking in and started taking things back out of my suitcase.

"Leaving, this place Isn't where i want to be anymore i want to go home" i said putting it all back in again.

"No you can't leave me, i need you Lo i can't be without you" he said and i looked up at him when he did and i could see he was about to cry so i pulled him into my arms and held him close. " I think hes dead" he sobbed and i held him closer.

"Who Joe, what are you talking about" i questioned leading him to the other side of the bed and we both sat down.

"Derek... It was an accident i swear" he said and he looked me in the eyes and i could tell he was telling the truth.

"What do you mean Joe, please tell me" i pleaded as tears started rolling down his face.

"I don't want you to hate me ... And you will trust me" he said.

"No i promise you Joe there is nothing you can do that will make me hate you, i love you more then anything and there's not anything you can ever say that will change that" i said kissing him softly.

"Okay... That day i told you people are after us... Well i ended up going after Derek and confronting him...He was angry when i told him either he leaves the square or i would go to the police and tell them everything... He was so mad he told me that he knew then that i was lying about breaking up with you and everything i said about you was a lie...then he pulled out his gun and said he was going to hurt you... And i couldn't ,i couldn't let him do that so... So i grabbed the gun and it just went off i swear i didn't touch the trigger i have no idea how it happened... And then he fell and there was blood on the floor and... I just ran i know i should have stayed and made sure he was alright but i just panicked... I'm so sorry Lo and i understand if you still want to go back" he said and by this point he was in floods of tears and i have to admit it is really scaring me hes never like this hes always so strong and well if I'm honest he takes care of me.

"I'm not going anywhere and I'm sorry i pushed you to tell me i should have just left it but I'm glad you did cause now i know i can be there for you properly and tell you it wasn't your fault and thank you for protecting me again. God i love you so much" i said before kissing him passionately.

"I'm always going to protect you Lo your my whole world" he said smiling before kissing me again.

*End of flashback*

"So what do you think Lo" Brendan said.

"Huh what" i said turning and looking at him confused.

" The house Lo you know the whole reason why we are looking around.. What do you think" he questioned raising an eyebrow.

"Yer its alright i guess how many rooms does it have" i asked.

"6 so there is plenty of room" he said " and there's a pool" he said.

"Okay well i think its perfect then but we should get Joey and Cheryl to look around before we make a decision" i said.

"Its already done and they have just pulled up outside" he said pointing.

"Joe" i squealed running outside and up to him before jumping in his arms.

"I take it you like the house then baby" he said as he caught me and i wrapped my legs around his waist and then i kissed him before i answered him.

"Mm yes but i did this cause i have missed you" i said before leaning closer to his ear. "That and i wanted to say my man looks good today and the house is really big" i whispered before pulling away from him slightly so i could wink at him.

"Oh really do you think they would notice if we sneak off then" he whispered. " And i have missed you too even though i have only been to work" he added.

"Yer but you have been gone all night and i had to sleep by myself in a cold bed" i said pouting.

"Well I'm going to be in the bed with you tonight baby i promise" he said as he carried me into the house.

"You 2 are so cute but can you put her down cause there is an estate agent here and i think if you don't put her down now you are going to end up giving us quite a show that none of us really want to see" Brendan said and me and Joey rolled our eyes before he put me down.

We ended up buying the house cause everyone liked it and then we were told it would take a few weeks to go through and then we could move in whenever we want.

3 years later...

We are still living in the house Brendan brought for us 3 years ago except a lot has changed since then and a few more people live with us now.

About a month after we moved in here Joey proposed to me at this really expensive restaurant we went to on a date to and he had them do it up beautifully there was white and red rose petals everywhere and heart shaped lights all over the room and he asked me after we watched the sunset and rang in the new year together, he asked me to marry him as the fireworks were going off. And i remember i was chocked up and i even cried a little bit and it took me a good few minutes before i could even chock out the word yes. And then he picked me up and spun me round its was such a romantic night and i will never forget it. The ring was absolutely perfect most people would probably say it wasn't cause it single diamond ring but i love simple and elegant jewellery so its perfect for me.

Another day i will never forget is our wedding day which happened 5 months after nearly to the day that he proposed and the wedding was perfect i had a simple white boob tube dress which was slightly sparkily at the top it wasn't too much though, Brendan gave me away and he was so cuffed when i asked him in fact i have never seen him as happy as he was when i asked him and he was even happier when hes sons mum said they could come to the wedding and now he sees Declan and Paddy every weekend but he never used too so I'm glad i managed to help fix things enough for his ex wife to give him a chance to see them. Joey's best man was his really good friend Sam that he meet the day we moved here.

And then about 9 months later we had quite the shock when i found out i was 't get me wrong we were over the moon about it especially Joey cause he had been saying how much he wanted us to start a family since our wedding night but the biggest shock of all for us was at our first scan when we found out we were having triplets and then we found out a few months later that we were having 2 boys and a girl and our 3 beautiful children were born on the 22nd of march 1 in the morning weighing 6 pound 2 ounces was our first little boy Jordan Mark Branning.

Second was baby boy number 2 who was born at 1:30 in the morning weighing 6 pound exactly. And his name is Charlie Tomas Branning.

And last but definitely not least was our little girl who was born at 2 in the morning weighing 5 pound 2 ounces and she is called Lila Bradie Louise Branning.

Our amazing babies are now 8 months old and as much as its a lot of work having 3 babies at once we are going to have to get used to it and more cause 2 weeks ago we found out we are going to have another baby, we do also get a lot of help from Brendan and Cheryl so i have a feeling we are going to be just fine.

Right now though me and Joey have just bathed the kids and are about to put them in their cots as all 3 of them are pretty much asleep now anyway.

"Night Jordan,Night Lila, night Charlie" i said as i kissed them all on top of their heads and then i tucked them in while Joey gave them all a kiss.

"I can't believe we have actually got them all to sleep in about half an hour that must be some sort of record for us it normally takes a lot longer then that" Joey said as we walked downstairs after putting their baby camera/ monitor on so we could watch them as well as hear them.

"Yer but I'm so tired now and i bet they are going to be up again soon as well" i said sighing as i flopped down on the sofa.

"Don't worry baby me and Bren have baby duty covered tonight i want you to rest" he said kissing me softly.

"See that's what i like to see a man taking care of his pregnant wife" Cheryl said as her and Brendan walked into the room.

"Yer and i think some times it should be the other way round too"Brendan said making us all laugh."Alright i didn't mean that the man would be pregnant" he said not looking very amused but that just made us all laugh harder.

I used to think this can't be happening all the time in my life especially when i first met Joey, But now i am so glad i did meet him cause we have such an amazing life with my cousin, and our children and we have another one on the way we are truly blessed and i am blessed with an amazing husband but i do hope one day we can see our family again so they can meet the kids and see how happy we are but until then this perfect little family of mine is more then enough...
