It was a hot day as Lucy and Lars had been working on some poems.

"Lars, I hope you do well." Lucy says.

"Thanks." Lars says.

"Kids, our new neighbors invited us to a pool party." Lynn Sr. says.

"We'll pass." Lucy says as she and Lars walk off to a poetry convention.

Lucy and Lars participated in the poetry contest, but unfortunately, they lost quickly. To add to their disappointment, the judges didn't even give them a fair chance.

Lucy and Lars look at each other, knowing it was their appearances that caused them to lose and felt bad.

"Maybe we should change. Our family thinks we're too scary." Lars says. They go off.

At the party, the louds see a woman named Sally who was having the party. Sally greets them.

"You're still grounded." Rita says to most of the siblings.

Later, Lincoln and Linka head home and see Lucy and Lars changing their appearance.

"What are you doing?" Linka asked.

"Everyone calls us freaks." Lucy confessed.

"So, we're not going to be goths anymore." Lars says.

"No, you can't, you're beautiful the way you are." Lincoln says.

"Thanks, Lincoln." Lucy says.

"Thanks Linka." Lars says.

"No problem." Linka says.

The next day, Lincoln and Girl Lynn were walking home from the soccer field.

"You cost me my soccer game!" Girl Lynn yelled at Lincoln.

"Sorry " Lincoln says.

"It's okay. Next time, stay off the field. You nearly died. For a comic!" Girl Lynn says.

"It was really important." Lincoln says.

"More important than your life?!" Girl Lynn asked.

Lincoln reflects on this choice and realizes Girl Lynn was just looking out for him.

Meanwhile, Lori was shopping, when she saw Leni with Bobby, dancing. Lori was fuming and stormed home and it was clear the sister fight protocol was back on.

"Lynn, Lori is in our room again." Linka says as Girl Lynn rolled her eyes and kicked the door down.

"Lori, get out of their room!" Girl Lynn says and froze seeing Lori's anger as she shoved Girl Lynn down.

Lincoln and Linka tried to stop her, but Lori accidentally pushed Linka down the stairs as all the siblings gasped.

"Linka!" They said as she was crying in pain.

"What is going on?!" Rita asked as Linka holds her leg. Lincoln helped her up.

"It hurts! It hurts!" She sobbed. Lexx gasped.

"Take her to the hospital. I advise against letting Linka move." Levi says.

"When we get back, Lori, you are in big trouble!" Rita says.

They head to the hospital as Ronnie Anne and Ron come in, worried.

"Are you okay?" He asked Linka.

"I'll be all right." she says.

"My poor daughter…" Rita says.

Later, Rita came back. Linka's leg was in a cast.

"Mom, come quick! There's more!" Lukas says.

"Let's just see." Rita says as Lori was feeling horrible.

Rita sees that Lori had also pushed Lane down the stairs. That happened after Rita left. Lane is sobbing still. He was just trying to help Lori calm down.

"Lori! What did he do to deserve this?" Luan says.

Lucy was worried as Linka was her favorite sister and Lane was close to her.

"Lane?" Lars asked, worried.

"I'm taking him to the hospital, wait, where is Leni?" Rita asked as Leni came back.

"What happened?" Leni asked.

"No time. I'm taking Lane to the hospital. Loki, make sure no one else gets injured." Rita says.

2 hours later, Rita returns home with a list of Lane's injuries. Lane got it worse than Linka. So much worse, he came home in a wheelchair. He had two broken legs, a broken arm, and he was wearing a neck brace. His braces got caught in his upper lip and had to be surgically removed, and he had a blackened left eye.

The siblings felt horrible for Lane. They then glared at Lori and decided to let her have it.

"Why? Why is it always a comedian who has to suffer?" Lucy asked as she woke up after fainting. She didn't take the sight of Lane well.

"Kids, go to your rooms." Rita says "Lane will sleep in our room. And me and your father will discuss Lori's punishment and tell you in the morning."

"Lori, you're grounded for the rest of the year." Lynn Sr. says. Lori looks down.

"I thought we were going to discuss this later…" Rita says.

"Leni told me all of this was because she was helping Bobby with a hard dance move. Lori, you never even thought of asking what really happened. The fact you have little faith in your first little sister is shocking." Lynn Sr. says.

"Mom, I wanna sleep with Lane." Lucy says worriedly.

Meanwhile, Lars was panicking while Luan comforted him.

"I won't let Lori hurt him again. I feel horrible. I should have been there. Now he may never make anyone laugh again. It was one of his dreams…Oh, wait, he can't cook." Luan says and begins venting online to her and Lane's listeners of their podcast.

Lucy looks at Lane as Luna and Lukas come in.

"Little dude, stay strong…" Luna says.

The next morning, the Louds got ready for school as the house was strangely silent. Lincoln helps Linka while Luan helps Lane.

At the high school, several students watched Luan push Lane's wheelchair into the building and up the halls. They all pitied him, knowing he had been through a lot already. Lane's tears were overwhelming his eyes. His black eye had healed, but the rest of his body still hurts.

"Sorry about that." One kid says.

"So what now?" One of Lane's friends asked.

"The doctor said he's going to be this way for 5 months." Luan says sadly. Everyone gasped in horror.

Meanwhile, Lincoln looked down as Lucy poked his shoulder.

"Lincoln?" Lucy asked as Lexx looked at him. "Lincoln?"

"Lincoln, what's wrong?" Linka says.

"Lane…" Lincoln says.

In the middle school, Girl Lynn felt awful. She was punching a punching bag as she had a few scars and cuts.

"Lynn, chill…" Margo says.

"See these scars? It's proof I failed my siblings!" Girl Lynn says and sobs.

"Linka and Lane didn't deserve it. They deserve better. I'm feeling better about Linka, she took it well. But Lane? His dreams are gone." Boy Lynn says.

"He will recover." Margo says.

"He shouldn't be recovering. He should be doing the things he loves." Boy Lynn says.

With Lane, he tried to take notice, but he screamed in pain. Luan soothed him.

With Lori, it wasn't good. When it got out that she was the one who caused Lane's injuries, her life began to change. All of her friends left her, not wanting to be around her anymore. They were all on Loki's side now, as Lane is his brother.

Things got much worse at golf practice that day. Loki was awarded the scholarship to Fairway before practice began. The scholarship Lori worked for since her freshman year, now belonged to Loki. Afterwards, Lori was kicked off the team.

Later, Levi thinks about helping Linka and Lane with their injuries. Lisa joins him.

"Let's do this." Lisa says. "I suggest we focus on Linka. She's faster to help."
