TW: Chocking.

I didn't really know where this chapter was going, hence why this is coming out almost a year later. It's not my best chapter, and the next chapter will be much improved. Hope you enjoy it!

In more recent developments though, I now have a Twitter account (although it seems to be going down the sewer these days). If you want to nag me about updates, consider following me. My handle is: hynotisis

I'm also now open to beta reading. If you are interested in beta reading this fanfic, please PM me either on Twitter or FanFiction.

Flora woke up to buzzing sounds ringing in her ears. As her vision became less hazy, she could make out the figures of Daphne and Hala next to her. If she leaned slightly, she could just about see Musa, Stella, Stormy and Tecna. She assumed that she was in the middle. She also observed that Hala, Stella and Musa had de-transformed, donning the outfits they had when they first arrived.

So much for saving Sapphire.

"Hello, Flora." A transparent figure loomed over her body, shocking Flora out of her half - conscious state.

"W - who are you?" Flora asked. "What do you want with us?"

"We are Sylphs. You entered into our territory, and we did what we had to do. Your friends are in a deep sleep, and are not able to wake up. That is, until we're done with them."

"That doesn't really answer my question." Flora rebutted. "Why am I the only one awake - what do you want from us."

"Good question." The Sylph asked. "You should've been in a coma until we have completed the curse. However, this does not seem to be the case. We theorise that your nature powers which are currently latent gave you some level of immunity to our spell." The Sylph stared at Flora. "Meaning that you were only out for a short while, whilst your friends... well..."

"What." Flora stated. "Are you going to do with them?" Her voice was low and firm.

"You are in the Darkness Dimension." The Sylph stated. "You've been down here for quite a while now. You should know."

Flora's eyes widened as she tried to free herself.

"Let us go!" Flora demanded.

The Sylph just laughed in her face.

"And why should I?" The Sylph cockingly asked. "What are you going to do about it?"

Flora paused.

"As I suspected. You do not, and will never have the power to save your friends. Even when you were on the surface, you were always staggering behind. You. Are. Weak." The Sylph emphasised as he edged closer to Flora.

Flora gritted her teeth, the words getting into her head as tears welled her eyes.

"Even if you had the power, it is still not enough to save your friends, because the matter of the fact is, that you are too weak. Too naive, too soft. You do not have the assertiveness it takes

"And you will prove your weakness as you he your friends die and succumb to the darkness." Flora heard her friends choke for air, unable to wake up from the Sylphs' slumber, as the vines tightened their grip on them.

"NO!" Flora screamed as she tried to free herself, to no avail.

A swarm of Sylphs surrounded the group.

"Let us go!" The Nature Fairy screamed as her movements increasingly got violent. However, this did not seem to sway the Sylphs.

"Corrupt the ones who are asleep." The Sylph commanded the swarm, before facing Flora. "I will deal with you myself."

Flora could not help as she saw the bodies of what consisted of her group, disappearing one by one as the swarm of Sylphs surrounded their bodies until she could only see translucent figures.

The Nature Fairy felt pricks of tears welling out of her eyes, feeling hopeless of the situation around her. However, the feeling of hopelessness would quickly become secondary to the feeling of a vine slowly wrapping around her neck, choking the air out of her, simultaneously occurring with the feeling of drowsiness, as she felt her eyelids become heavy.

Flora chocked, desperately gasping for air.

"Don't cry, Flora." The Sylph facing her commanded in a calm manner. However, following orders was secondary due to the fact that she was being chocking to death.

"Do not panic, fairy. Stay very still." The Sylph slurred. "This will all be over for you and your friends very soon."

The Sylph connected the palm of their hand to Flora's chest, closing their eyes and humming a tune. Slowly, purple - black mist started to emit out of the Sylph's body, before latching itself on to Flora's body. Flora hastily looked around to see that the same had started to happen to the rest of the group.

Flora reeled in pain as the the mist tightened its grip on her body, blood coming out of her eyes, even if they were only half open. The Nature Fairy wriggled her arms and increased her movement as much as possible as if the mist would loosen if she did, but to no avail.

Suddenly, the mist morphed into a liquid substance, further tightening its grip on Flora, permeating on to her skin. She could barely make out the faint, uncomfortable groans of her friends in the background.

Flora screamed as harsh as she could, her voice increasingly becoming muffled by her chocking and the substance.

A girl, donning light brown skin with luscious, long black hair, treaded along one of the forests of Linphea. Her walk eventually came to a stop when she saw a river within eyesight. But more importantly than the river, she saw a girl, younger than her, sitting beside the river, aimlessly throwing rocks into said river.

The girl took cautious steps towards the girl, making sure not to scare her, eventually stopping just behind the girl.

"There you are!" The older girl exclaimed, albeit softly. "I've been looking for you everywhere!"

"Don't talk to me!" The younger girl said as she turned away from the older girl.

The older girl looked sympathetic towards the younger, moody girl as she knelt beside her.

"Flora..." The older girl started, only for Flora to get up and walk towards another area of grass.

The older girl followed Flora to where she now sat.

"Listen, Flora -" The older girl barely got started before Flora moved once again.

The older girl, once again, moved to her new location and sat beside her.

"Flora. I know you're not happy with your progress..."

"But it's not just my progress! It's everything!" Flora exclaimed to the older girl.

"What do you mean?" The older girl asked, now perplexed.

"I'm not good enough!" Flora said, collapsing to the ground. "I can't do anything right!"

The Nature fairy cuffed her hands to her face.

"Camellia was right. I'll never be a Guardian Fairy. I'm too weak." The words coming out her mouth muffled.

The older girl, again, looked sympathetic to Flora's plight.

"Flora. Listen to me." The older girl softly commanded, as Flora slightly lifted her hands off her face.

"You are not weak. Ok."

"But I a -" Flora tried to protest.

"No. You are not. Nobody is weak."

Flora looked at the older girl.

"Listen, Flora. People might bring you down. People might say you are weak. But that does not mean you are weak. You are strong, in many different ways. You are the fairy of Nature, and although you might not see it now, one day you will grow up to be a strong, powerful fairy."

"And how do you know that?" The young fairy questioned, apathetic to the older girl's reasoning.

"Because I believe in you." The older girl replied. "And you should believe in yourself. You let the judgements of other people affect you too much, and it affects your progress. Don't let the words of others get to you."

Flora went over and hugged the older girl, internally thanking her for her words of wisdom.

Flora inhaled as much air as she possibly could, calming her nerves as much as she could. She beamed down at the Sylph looking directly at her, who was cackling at the sound of the group's impending death, reminding herself of the words the older girl told her all those years ago.

I am the Fairy of Nature. Flora told herself. And no one gets to tell me that I'm weak.

The liquid substance on Flora starts to loosen, trickling down on to the other girls. The Sylphs, who were in the process of corrupting the group, abruptly stopped at the sudden evaporation of the substance they had put on the group. The Head Sylph turned his head in horror as he saw a bright green light from the corner of his eye, followed by the strong motion of wind.

"It can't be." The Head Sylph whispered to himself. "It just can't."

"Nature's Freedom" A voice whispered.

The area turned deadly silent. The Sylphs dared not make a sound, fearing what would happen next. The only audible noises was the gradual sounds of what appeared to be an earthquake.

And then the sounds of a tsunami.

And then the sounds of a tornado.

And then the sprout appeared on the ground. A Sylph came over to touch it, intrigued by the unnatural growth of the plant.

The sprout shot up, transforming into a Venus Fly Trap, trapping the Sylph inside.

And then, simultaneously, waves of water, sprouts of plants, hordes of rock and strong gusts of wind towered down on the area all at once. The Sylphs, struggling to contend with this unnatural force of nature, tried to utilise their nature powers to contend with the unnatural storm, to no avail, as they got sucked up in the storm.

The remainder of the group, now that the Sylphs had perished, were free from their prison, yet still unconscious and falling right into the eye of the storm.

Flora, now having donned her Elementix, raced down to save the group. Hers consisted of a pastel green and pink floral embroidered sun dress that went down to her ankles. Her brown hair was free flowing, and her makeup was light and natural. Her high heels followed the same colour scheme as her dress, the straps of the heels going up to her knees and dotted with floral patterns. The orb of her Staff was a combined mix of light green, baby blue and light pink, with the stick of the Staff stemming from the branch of the Black Willow back at home. The branch was decorated with the leaves of the willow, as well as the petals from other plants originating from Linphea. Her wings were a shimmering light green and pink, fairy dust emitting out of them as she raced to save her friends before they were consumed by the storm.

"Nature's Capture!" Flora commanded with a wave of her hand, before a blossom of flowers rose and caught the group just before they reached the eye of the storm.

"Nature's Closure!" Flora then commanded, as she waved her hand and the storm abruptly disappeared.

Hala was the first to wake up, her eyes slowly adjusting to the fact that she was lying down on a tulip of all things. One by one, the others started to slowly come out of their slumber and adjust to their surroundings, until all of them, excluding Stormy, had woken up from their slumber. Stella, who was right next to Stormy, quickly realised that the witch went cold again and immediately transformed into her Elementix so that she can put the sun over her head. Once that was done, Stormy started to arose ffrom her sleep as well.

"What happened?" Hala questioned, still groggy from her slumber.

"Nothing to worry about." Flora stated. "All that matters is that you're all safe."

Hala looked at the Nature Fairy, realising that she earned her Elementix. "The Sylphs got us, didn't they?"

"Yes. Yes they did."

"Where are they?" Stella asked, scanning the area to see if there were still any Sylphs around."

"I think they're all gone." Flora concluded, "they couldn't handle the storm, and I think they went along with it."

"Wait." Hala said, trying to process everything. "There was a storm?"

"Yes." Flora replied.

Hala didn't say anything else as she transformed into her Elementix and flew away from the tulip she was sitting on, using her magic to levitate Stormy, Daphne and Tecna off their respective flowers and on to the ground.

Musa transformed into her Elementix and levitated off her flower as well.

"Let's go find the others!" Musa announced as she zoomed down the Darkness Dimension.

"Hey, wait up!" Stella exclaimed as Musa was flying into the depths of the Dimension.

A/N: Yeah... not my best work. But I wanted to have something published soon or else it would be more than a year since I updated this fanfic, and I didn't want that to happen. My next chapter will be better. I'll also try to release it sooner than this one.
