Chapter 14

"Alright gentlemen let's keep it clean," Himari said and the two shook hands.

Soto and Kohaku met in the middle of the ring and shook hands. Himari placed her left hand down and her whistle in her mouth. She mentally counted to five and blew her whistle. The boys shook hands again squaring up against each other. They circulated closely not daring to move first.

"Come on Soto! Kick his ass!" Sango yelled from the sidelines.

Soto slightly grinned and went in for the attack by lunging in to take Kohaku out fast.

Kohaku saw the rush and twisted his body to move out of the way. Soto slid into the ropes and wiped some of the mud off his face.

"I'm not the Junior Varsity team captain for nothing Higurashi. Don't insult my profession," Kohaku said cockily.

Soto slowly stood and cracked his neck to release the kinks out of it.

"Oh I'm just warming up," Soto replied.

They circled each other until a loud clunk of wood was heard in the distance breaking their stare down.

They both knew that time was of the essence and a win was needed now. Soto rushes again and Kohaku saw it again. He scooped up Soto's right leg into a crotch lift get him to the ground and pin him.

The sidelines cheered and encouraged the boys to do their best.

Soto flipped and landed on his back dazed. Kohaku quickly stretched across Soto chest and Himari counted out the victory to Kohaku.

Sango was conflicted because her brother won amazingly but her teammate lost as well. She decided to hug Kohaku and encourage Soto because it was just a game.

"Sorry team," Soto said and wiped the mud from his body.

His team encouraged him and Himari began the next round.

"Alright, next round, Kagome versus Bankotsu please enter the ring," Himari said and both entered.

"Since it is mixed, Kagome, dear, you just have to last for three minutes in the ring and collect flags. Bankotsu you have to catch her and grab the flags from her body. Understand?" Himari asked and both opponents shook their heads that they understood.

Kagome placed one flag on her upper left arm and the other one on her right wrist.

The bell rang and Bankotsu charged after Kagome. Kagome moved and nearly missed Bankotsu. The two walked around the ring with Bankotsu occasionally bucking towards Kagome making her move.

They heard the warning bell and the two ran toward each other. Kagome slid and grabbed a flag that was behind Bankotsu. She panted and looked around for the last one and saw it tied on the post that was next to her. Bankotsu started to move close to her again and she made a break for the post. She grabbed it and yanked it before Bankotsu reached her. Himari had the bell rung to signal that they won.

"Bankotsu! Why did you let her win? That could have sealed the deal. Now these next two we have to win!" Yura pouted and wiped some of the dirt off of his face. Bankotsu didn't try hard because he was certain that he was going to go up against Inuyasha and wasn't mentally prepared to go up against anyone else. He took a long swig of his water bottle and sat down on the bench to watch the maybe last game.

Himari looked at the next one and saw Yuri putting lipgloss on and knew that Yura was going to be inappropriate.

"Next fight, Sango and Yura," Himrai said and blew her whistle.

All the teams snapped their head towards her and shrugged their shoulders.

"I guess we guessed wrong," Kagome said but Sango looked over to Himari as she glared at the other team.

"Since this is same sex would you ladies care for pins or flags?" Himari asked.

"Pin," Sango and Yura said unanimously.

Himari shook her head and gave the teams a two-minute prep.

Sango was prepared to go up against Koga but was mildly satisfied with the change of pace. She did a few stretches and placed her hair in a higher ponytail.

"Now don't go easy on her. She's a dirty fighter and is stronger than she looks like," Kagome warned her and placed the headgear on Sango's head.

"I'm not worried. It's going to be over before you know it," Sango said confidently and entered the ring. She placed her mouth guard in her mouth and squatted down waiting on Yura to get in the ring.

Yura placed her mouth guard in her mouth and had her headgear on.

Yura looked determined and serious about this match. Sango liked that.

"Girls, you both ready," Himari said to each participant.

They shook their heads that they were ready.

"Keep it clean, only three minutes. Whoever pins first after three counts will win. Touch gloves," Himari said briefly going over the rules.

"Alright on my whistle, begin" Himari blew and lowered her hand to quickly back away.

Yura surprised Sango by being the first to charge at her. It almost caught her by surprise but Sango did a hip twist to catapult Yura to the other side of the ring. She landed on her back a bit dazed.

Sango ran towards her and turned Yura to her stomach and placed her right leg in a submission move. Yura tried to wiggle out but Sango had her leg in a vice.

"Keep moving it will break! Admit defeat," Sango said and applied a bit more pressure to show she was telling her the truth. Yura tried to get out but hadn't the foggiest to do so. She tapped her head against the watery mud as it softly splashed against her skin. Sango immediately let go and walked away from Yura towards her team.

The red team erupted in cheers while the airport team went to Yura to console her.

Bankotsu helped her up as she gingerly put pressure on her feet.

Himari came to the ring and had medals for the winning time.

"This year's winners…The Red Squad!" Himari yelled and handed each member a gold medal.

She handed the purple team a silver medal.

"Alright let's get changed and have dinner!" Himari said and left the mud wrestling ring to head back to the house.

After pictures, showers, dinner, and dessert Inuyasha was exhausted in a good way. He really liked how close-knit Kagome's family was and knew their family would mesh well with other.

Bankotsu and Yura decided to go to their own parents' house but promised to come back for Christmas dinner.

Since it was the night before Christmas they exchanged one gift to each other.

Kagome had gotten her parents a digital watch for her dad and for her mother a gold and silver locket with her and Sota in it when they were little. She engraved the other side Love Always, Kagome.

Kagome had a present for Sango, a Sephin original designer purse prototype that hasn't hit the market. Sota and Kohaku received tickets to the FIFA World Cup Series, and Inuyasha received a Christmas card. He looked at it and opened it.

Before he could read the handwritten note a white border picture tumbled out. For whatever reason he immediately thought it was a sonogram but that would be impossible since they literally just started having sec outside of his fantasies.

He flipped over the picture and saw a sword that he had been wanting since seeing that Samauri movie.

"It's at your house. I couldn't bring it with me for obvious reasons but yes! I was able to hunt down a sword maker and viola! You have your very own replica of the Tesiga," Kagome said and immediately felt her body lifted off the ground.

"You totally want to get laid," Inuyasha whispered in her ear and settled on kissing Kagome on the lips to express his thanks.

A Few Days Later

"Yes, Mom, we-no, we won't disappear. Yes, I know that you were upset you didn't spend time with us during Christmas. Yes, yes, we-yes Mother. I have to go. I-I have to-bye. Yes, I have a multi-million dollar business that I have to see to. I love you too," Inuyasha said and finally hung up his cell phone.

Kagome tried not to laugh when her boss came into her office/lobby. She continued to type and sent out invites to the people that she wanted to be on her team for the upcoming Fashion Show with Montagea. She was allowed three people to help her out. She chose Ayami, Miroku, and Trish. She sent her email to all three and CC'd Inuyasha so he would be in the loop.

Inuyasha was at his desk when he received Kagome's email and literally spit out his coffee.

He looked for a tissue and cleaned himself while he paged Kagome to come inside of his office.

Kagome got up and brought her iPad to meet with her boss.

Inside Inuyasha's Office

"Yes sir," Kagome asked as she opened the oak door.

Inuyasha motioned for her to sit down in front of him in his leather chair. Kagome did as told and crossed her legs ready to take notes from him.

Inuyasha cleared his throat and turned his screen towards her.

"I received your email and noticed the people that you chose. Why her?" Inuyasha asked while tapping his screen on Trish's name.

"Oh, that?! Well she may be a bimbo and can hardly keep her legs closed, but the girl has the eye and I bet the gossip we need to be successful," Kagome said matter of factly.

"I thought we decided that she wasn't the mole and Bankotsu was just pulling our leg," Inuyasha said and turned back his screen to face him.

"You can never be too cautious. Maybe she doesn't know about what Bankotsu was saying back at my apartment. But what if she knows other office gossips? She is a people person and men really do love her. Present company included. Inuyasha, I want her on my team. Can I please have her," Kagome asked and clasped her hands together.

"Whatever you say. I hope that you are right and she won't try to sabotage you. Against better judgment, I will send HR my approval but keep me in the loop. And one last thing," Inuyasha said and got up from his chair.

He grabbed Kagome's iPad and placed it on his desk. He then grabbed her hand and lifted her up from her seat. He twirled her around and kissed her deeply on her unsuspected rosy lips.

"Mom wants us over for dinner this weekend. I tried to get out of it but it's a no. Also, the gala is next weekend, don't forget we are wearing blue," Inuyasha said gently and pecked Kagome on her lips again.

Kagome nodded and bravely kissed him again. Before they could Christian his office Kagome pulled away when she felt her cell phone vibrate in her pocket.

She fished around in her skirt's pocket and saw she received a text from an unknown number.

UNKNOWN: We need to talk... in private

Kagome: Who is this?

UNKNOWN: Trish Akitaki

Kagome: Okay, you can come to my office. It's only me up here.

Trish: See you in 10!

Kagome: okay

Kagome looked over her shoulder to Inuyasha.

"What do you think she wants?" Kagome asked and placed her phone back in her pocket.

"Why the hell you chose her over Rebecca, Stacy, Ryanne, Eri. Just about anyone in the whole damn company," Inuyasha said and sat back down at his desk.

"Like I said. She has the eye. Anyway, I'm off. Lunch will be delivered in 15 minutes. Taking my lunch," Kagome said and left.

"Wait! I thought we were going to have lunch sex in here," Inuyasha yelled but Kagome didn't stop.

"Damn woman...DAMN Trish!," Inuyasha said and took out a brief that he needed to familiarize himself with to see if he wanted to invest in another lipstick line.

With Kagome

Kagome was taking out her business card and grabbed her jacket. She patiently waited for Trish as she stepped off the elevator and entered the lobby/office of Kagome.

Kagome looked up and gave her warmest smile to greet the very suspicious Trish.

"So it wasn't a prank and you really chose me to work with you," Trish bashfully and tucked her black hair behind her ear.

She looked like she was on the brink of tears.

"Let's have lunch together to be better acquainted. I know we both got off on the wrong foot. So let's share a meal to change that. What do you say," Kagome said kindly and placed her hands on Trish's shoulders.

"Sure, ahem, sure," Trish agreed and left the office together to eat lunch.
