Same Day: Dark Lizard Ark
Rasticore speaks to Toffee as they look at the hologram in the room, showing the stars and planets, "The worlds are nearly aligned."
Toffee takes out a knife and stares at it for a moment before walking over to where Rasticore stands, looking at the hologram. Toffee tells Rasticore as he walks to him, "You will be the last of the Kursed."
Rasticore responds as he turns around and walks over to where two other Dark Lizards stand. The hologram shuts off behind him. Rasticore stands in between the two Lizards, "Let my life be sacrificed." Toffee stands in front of him, "It is no less than our people did or you have done." Toffee stabs Rasticore in the stomach. Rasticore closes his eyes and groans lowly in pain.
Toffee presses his forehead against Rasticore's. He tells him, "You will become darkness, cursed to this existence until it consumes you." He places a gem that looks like molten lava into the wound; with the gem, Rasticore will transform into Kurse. Rasticore breathes in pain. Toffee tells him, "Until then, no power our enemies possess can stop you."
Rasticore opens his eyes and leans back. Toffee looks at him. Rasticore says, determined, "I will tear down their defenses and ensure your return to a universe reborn."
One of the Dark Lizards brings forward a horned mask for Rasticore to wear as a Marauder disguise.
Outside: Space
Six fleets of Harrow Ships, the Dark Lizard's smaller spacecraft, depart from the Ark, flying away.
Mewni: Bifrost Observatory
Sir Scarsgaurd and Sir Lavabo lead a group of shackled prisoners through the Bifrost portal and walk into the Observatory.
Sir Lavabo tells Sir Scarsgaurd, "Acting as caretakers to these scoundrels is beneath us."
Sir Scarsgaurd chuckles, "Oh please." Among the prisoners is Rasticore with his Marauder disguise. He looks around as he walks while able to slip past Brunzetta's watchful eyes, "If they were beneath you, my rotund friend, they'd all be dead."
Dungeons
A handful of Mewman guards lead a large group of prisoners into the dungeons where other prisoners are kept; a gold energy shield seals the cell.
Guard 1 demands to the prisoners as they walk down a hallway, "Keep in line!"
Guard 2 shouts as they pass a certain cell, "Move it!"
Inside: Janna's Cell
With her hands behind her back, Janna walks up to the energy shield and watches the prisoners walk past her cell. She comments, "Moon continues to bring me new friends. How thoughtful."
River's voice asks Janna, "The books I sent, do they not interest you?" Janna turns to speak to her visitor, River, King of Mewni, her father.
Janna closer to the center of the cell, "Is that how I am to while away eternity? Reading?" River stands in the center of the cell, looking at Janna.
River tells Janna softly, "I've done everything in my power to make you comfortable."
Janna questions River, "Have you?" She leans her hands on the chair in front of her as she asks River, "Does Moon share your concern?" River looks at her, taken back, and is speechless at her saying Moon's name instead of Mother. Janna continues, "Does Star? Does Tom?" She hides her true feelings as she says sarcastically, "It must be so inconvenient, them asking after me day and night."
River gives Janna a look, "You know full well that your actions brought you here."
Janna gestures to herself, "My actions?" She straightens up and walks around the center part of the cell, "I was merely giving truth to the lie that I've been fed my entire life. That I was born to be a queen."
River tilts his head at Janna while giving her a look, "A queen? A true queen admits her faults. What of the lives you took on Earth?"
Janna stands a few feet from River as she defends herself, "A mere handful compared to the number that Moon has taken herself." She walks towards the energy shield again.
River starts, "Your mother-" Janna cuts him off.
Janna quickly stops and turns to River, shouting as she loses her temper, "She's not my mother!"
River looks at Janna, sad and hurt. He asks her softly, "Then I am not your father?"
Janna looks at River sadly as she hesitates, realizing that to deny Moon as her mother, she must also deny River. Janna tells him emotionlessly, "You're not."
River forces a smile, but tears slowly form in his eyes. As he steps closer to Janna, he says, "You're always so perceptive about everyone but yourself."
Janna looks down regretfully, shaking her head. She steps towards River and places her hands upon his own upturned palms. Janna's hands go through River's and she watches as he slowly dissolves at her touch; he is only an astral projection. Janna looks down and closes her eyes, clearly affected.
Minutes later, Janna is lying in her lounge chair/bed, reading a book. She narrows her eyes as she senses someone entering the cell, and lowers her book, looks up to see Tom.
Janna is surprised to see Tom. She sits up as he walks over to her. Janna starts, "Tom..." Tom softly touches her lips.
Tom whispers, "Shh." He moves his hand away from Janna's lips to kiss her softly. Janna, a little confused, kisses back. She thought he hated her. Tom pulls away, looking at her lovingly. Janna then crashes her lips against his. He responds quickly.
Janna grabs Tom and throws him on the bed. She drops down to his lap and straddles him, her hands on his cheeks as they kiss passionately. Janna wraps her arms around his neck and brings him closer as he slides his hands up her back to push off the silky robe he gave her as a gift.
They pull away, and Janna moans as Tom kisses her neck and helps her take the robe fully off to reveal her dress.
Janna grabs Tom's cheek and brings his head back up to kiss him passionately as she helps him take off his upper body clothing. Tom hugs Janna to his bare chest and lays her down on the bed, now on top of her, as he kisses Janna hungrily.
Reality: Janna Cell
Janna wakes up with a gasp, the book on her chest. She fell asleep reading it. She closes the book and tosses it on the floor beside her. She stares up at the ceiling as she realizes she is just dreaming. A voice to her left asks her, "Pleasant dreams?"
Janna looks to her left to see Tom standing outside of the cell with his arms crossed. He's staring at her with a stern, emotionless expression.
Janna sits up, surprised, "Tom?" Janna narrows her eyes, confused, and she gestures to her head with her finger, "Do you just..." She's asking him if he just got into her head and entered her dreams.
Tom smirks lightly and raises an eyebrow at her with a flash of golden yellow mixed with green in his eyes, confirming that he was just in her head and giving her a teasing semi-sex dream. Janna scoffs a small chuckle in disbelief as she stands up and paces as she thinks for a moment, Tom watching her movements.
Janna sits down with a sigh. She asks Tom as she looks down at her hands, "When did you get them?" She's asking about his new abilities that are like hers.
Tom answers, not moving, "A little while after we came back from Midgard?"
Janna looks at Tom curiously, "Why would you want them?"
Tom answers vaguely as she doesn't want to really answer Janna, "Because." He turns away from her.
Janna narrows her eyes, giving Tom a look, "Because why?"
Tom turns as he shouts at Janna, "Because I almost died!" Janna looks at him, surprised and speechless. Tom furiously points at her, "It's because you sent the Chitauri to Earth. You faked your death and went off to create havoc on Earth." Tom tells her with tears in his eyes, "You wanted the throne so much that it stopped you from coming back to me." Janna looks down guiltily.
Janna says to Tom lowly, "I'm sorry."
Tom shakes his head, "It's a little late for that." Janna looks at him sadly and is hurt. Tom tells her determinedly, "What happened to me that day will never happen again." Tom angrily walks away with Janna looking after him sadly, knowing deep in her heart she still loves him.
Outside: Palace Area
Marco and Star are strolling around the waterfront at the edge of the Palace. Jackie with Tom somewhere. Marco is now wearing Mewman attire instead of his pajamas. His hair is no longer messy cause he had a bath and is feeling fresh.
Marco states with a knowing smirk, "When you came for me, you knew Jackie, and I was in trouble."
Star tells Marco, "When Brunzetta and Tom lost sight of you and Jackie, you both were no longer on Earth."
Marco asks, confused, "Well, how is that possible?"
Star stops walking and stands by a stone railing, "I believe you were, and you weren't." Marco is standing on Star's right, looking at her curiously. Star explains as she leans her elbow on the railing, "The Nine Realms travel within Yggdrasil, orbiting Midgard in much the way your planets orbits the sun." Star looks at Marco lovingly as she continues, "And every 5'000 years, the worlds align perfectly, and we call this the Convergence." She takes Marco's right hand in her left and presses their palms together, aligning them, "During this time, the borders between worlds become blurred." Marco glances at their hands before looking at Star lovingly, listening intently, "It's possible you found one of these points. We are lucky that it remained open. Once the worlds pass out of alignment,-" Star shifts her hands to symbolize the breaking of the alignment between worlds, "-then the connection is lost."
Marco and Star stare at each other lovingly as they intertwine their fingers together. They both lean in and kiss, a slow, passionate kiss. They pull away after a moment and lean their foreheads against each other.
Marco breathlessly tells Star, "I like the way you explain things." He leans back a bit, "What's going to happen to me and Jackie?" He's afraid but mostly worried about Jackie.
Star tells Marco, "I'll find a way to save you, Marco. Both you and Jackie." She knows he is more worried about Jackie.
Marco shakes his head, "Your mother said there was-"
Star gently interrupts Marco, "My mother doesn't know everything."
River's amused voice interrupts them, "Don't let her hear you say that." Star and Marco turn their heads, surprised by River's approach. They stand straight, Star still holding Marco's hand.
But before Star or anyone else can say anything, a shout interrupts them, "Marco!" They turn to see Jackie, in Mewman attire, come running up to Marco like a little child, with Tom calmly walking behind her with an amused smile. Jackie tells Marco with her hands gently on Marco's left forearm, "Marco, this place is amazing." Marco and Star chuckle at Jackie's giddiness.
Tom looks at River and bows his head as he brings his right arm to his chest in a sign of respect. Tom looks up as River bows his head in respect. They smile in greeting. River always saw Tom as a son and wanted him to marry Janna until everything happened.
River smiles, "Thank you." Jackie looks at River, startled and embarrassed.
Star introduces, "Marco Diaz, Jackie Lynn Thomas. Please meet River. King of Mewni and my father." Marco's eyes widened, standing straighter, bowing his head respectfully to River with a polite smile.
Jackie, startled and drops Marco's forearm and distances herself from Marco and Star, embarrassed. Jackie greets River awkwardly, "Hi."
