After a suggestion for a challenge came out in the Twice Upon a CS Movie Discord that had the instructions for writing something about each episode as we all rewatched and discussed the episodes, this fic was born. It will follow canonical events in Season 2 as Emma Swan deals with the curse being broken and finding out what it means to be the savior.

(AU) Mama Mal is back! Eventual SQ pairing. Emma has been on the run for three years after a horrific experience at a foster home at the age of 12. Now at 15, she finds herself in a hospital in a small town called Storybrooke Maine. She decides to give this town a chance one she meets Maleficent. Mal only wants this teen to feel loved and cared for before her childhood is over.

A series of 100-500 word drabbles to accompany my rewatch of season 2 of Once Upon a Time as an attempt to finally jump start the muse again. There will be a drabble-either a deleted scene, a "fix it" fic or a character musing for each episode of the season. Focus will be on Emma, Henry, the Charmings and Killian-with an emphasis on the very beginnings of Captain Swan.

Emma is living in the woods with her family and friends, her parents having lost the kingdom of Misthaven before she was born. Her parents' protectiveness stifles her and drives her to make a rash decision. Killian has found a new rock bottom after he discovers that his biggest enemy has the one thing he wants most -his son back. Once they team up, anything is possible, even love.
