With Panem finally recovering from the Dark Days the Capitol's eagerness for the Hunger Games has soared to an all time high. When Wren Medler is reaped for the seventy-third annual Hunger Games, she knows that the odds aren't in her favour. They never have been, what with growing up in a community home and pining over her best friend that refuses to see her as anything more than that. But what Wren doesn't know is that she wasn't reaped by chance. In the end, the odds had nothing to do with it.

After the end of the war, Haymitch visits Katniss and Peeta with some tapes from before the dark days and the Capitol. Tapes of the once popular reality TV show "Survivor," to be exact.

A talking, happy-go-lucky giraffe swaps places with Effie just before the 74th Hunger Games, Freaky-Friday style. Oblivious to Panem's way of life, she unknowingly interferes with the Games' events, then busts 4 tributes out of the arena. With the authorities looking for them, the giraffe must now get the tributes to safety—but first she'll have to help them trust each other.

When Katniss and Peeta are snowed in alone in Katniss' house they spend some quality time together. Catching Fire, Pre-victory tour, will eventually include Mockingjay. What was once meant to be a one-shot. [This story is meant to be funny and just enjoyable]

Mrs. Snow was married to her husband for more years than her fingers could count and Mr. Heavensbee had great plans laid out for the nation that would get him removed from the precious thing called 'life' if found out. Somehow, both collide at an evening dinner, share a few interests, and repeatedly have to remind themselves that they shouldn't be that foolish.

Katniss and Peeta managed to convince the Districts—and Snow—that they are madly in love with one another. Although their families are now safe, they face new hardships and challenges as their lives as Victors are just getting started. Will they be able to navigate these challenges safely and successfully while also fostering a second spark meant to ignite a rebellion?

Against his better judgment, Haymitch has accepted responsibility for both a revolution and two teenagers who will surely be the death of him. Probably sooner rather than later. Just his luck that the only way to save them both involves landing himself back in the arena. Catching Fire AU
