"Ready everyone?" Miku Hatsune asked. The Vocaloid Family nodded. "Ok, ready…" They crouched outside Rin and Len Kagamine's room. "Set…" Meiko Sakine put her hand on the knob. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" They flung the door open and smiled. Rin and Len looked genuinely surprised. Rin yelled and fell off the bed. Len screamed like a girl and fell off the computer chair. Kaito Shion laughed, as did everyone else—except the Kagamine twins. "Geez, that scared the crap out of me!" Rin said. "And I think Len's traumatized." She pointed at her brother, who was sprawled out on the floor. "What kind of surprise is that?" He cried. Miku tried to hold in her laughter, as did Luka Megurine. Mikuo Hatsune and Dell Honne didn't even try. They laughed hard. Neru Akita took pictures on her phone of the Kagamines freaked out. Nero Akita stifled laughter. Haku Yowane simply blinked innocently, wondering what on earth they were so scared about. "I'll never forgive you!" Rin and Len said simultaneously. "We've got cake." Meiko said. "I forgive you." Len said.

"Blow out your candles!" Luka sang. Rin nodded. Len smiled. They both gasped, caught each other's gaze, and held their breath. "I'll blow them out." Rin said with a bit of a tone. "No, I wanna!" Len cried. "I will!" "Len will blow them out!" "No, Rin!" Neru raised her hand. "I vote Len!" she said. "NERU!" Rin, Mikuo, Nero, and Kaito yelled. "Stay outta this!" "I'm gonna blow them out!" Rin cried. "No, me!" Len whined. "I will! I can hold notes longer!" Rin yelled. "But I'm the boy!" Len shouted. "Don't you mean shota?" Rin screamed. "SHUT UP!" Len screamed. "Now, now…" Kaito waved his hand. They both pouted, but shut up. "I still think I should blow them out." Len grumbled. "You wanna go, pretty boy?" Rin yelled, jumping up. "Bring it!" Len shouted. "Now, now…" Meiko waved her hand. "RAWR!" Len yelled. "GRR!" Rin shouted. As soon as they did, the candles went out. They stared at the strawberry shortcake blankly, as did the others. But then everyone burst out laughing, even Len and Rin. "Time to cut the cake!" Haku held a HUGE knife up. Everyone yelled and backed away from her. "Huh?" she wondered. "Dell, will you cut the cake?" "NOT DELL!" everyone yelled. "Um, uh, I think it'd be most safe for Luka-Chan to cut it!" Gumi Megapoid said. "Agreed." Everyone said. Gakupo Kumi rolled his eyes. "I hope you know I have a knife, Gaku-Kun." Luka said. "Eek! Ok!" Gakupo yelled.

Mikuo and Nero handed out cake, trying hard to serve themselves last. But the cake looked SO GOOD! Len and Rin got the first and biggest piece. "Mines bigger," Len thought as he examined Rin's piece closely. "Or is hers?" He looked up at his twin sister, who was looking at him strangely, and smiled. Rin did too, and they ate their cake in peace. Afterwards, they began to feel somewhat sleepy, and tried to force themselves to stay awake, but after cake & milk, they couldn't help it anymore and fell asleep, side by side, on the table. Everyone laughed softly, then carried them to their bedrooms—Kaito with Rin and Meiko with Len. It defiantly was the best birthday ever.
