The day was relatively young, fishes and other sea creatures wandering about outside as the sun above the waves continued to provide refracted light to the kingdom underneath. At this time of the day though, the sea breeze was fresh and the weather was fine– what better way to spend the day than to play?
Memoca had exactly thought of that (probably even with the exact same words for the amusement of the rhyme), but unfortunately, she couldn't leave the house along with Dolphi, since they were both tasked to watch the house while their sea witch and her shark familiar visited the castle. They could, however, leave the house-watching to their octopus brother figure, but he, too, wasn't here, as he had gone off some time ago for grocery shopping. The two were stuck in the house, but at the very least, a certain small octopus friend of theirs had gone over for a surprise visit.
Even as they weren't able to leave the house though (well, except for Tarako), it didn't mean they couldn't play, and it was evident by how Memoca's one visible eye sparkled that she already had something in mind as she sneaked inside Wadanohara's room. Dolphi and Tarako could only look at each other in confusion, and also in slight nervousness as they wondered what Memoca had planned for their play time.
It was stupid.
The seagull had presented her idea with so much enthusiasm that even though Tarako was reluctant at first, the small octopus eventually agreed to go with it. Dolphi didn't want to at first, considering it'd be a little embarrassing and they could get caught, but with two-to-one, she eventually gave in since neither Memoca nor Tarako seemed to listen to her anyway. The two were a little busy deciding who was who, sneaking into the others' room for more material.
Someone cursed out loud. "This thing is too small!" Sounds of shuffling could be heard from Wadanohara's room. "Ugh, well, Wadda didn't grow much after all these years, so," The click from the door indicated that it was unlocked from the inside. "Fuck it,"
Tarako, who had a makeshift wig of blue strands made up of the house mop (cleaned, of course), turned towards the source of the voice, and there they could see Memoca wearing the usual garments of the Great Blue Sea witch. She was grinning, but it looked strained, and it was obvious by how Wadanohara's child-sized clothes were tight against her skin. There were a few unbuttoned parts of the dress to make way for comfort, at least enough for Memoca to be able to walk around and do things. Her hair was also tied up into two, long pigtails, not braided because braiding with feathers as fingers can be a little too troublesome.
The seagull let out a sigh as she carefully made her way to the small octopus–wouldn't really want to rip their witch's clothes now, right? The giant hat on her head was slightly tipped to the side.
"You look comfortable!" Tarako commented, bobbing up and down a little. Memoca could only shoot a look at the small octopus.
"Sure am," She scratched her side in a poor attempt to comfort herself from the tightness of the clothes. Whose idea was this anyway? …Oh, right, it was hers.
Hearing an unlocking sound from Samekichi's room though, the two turned towards it, and Memoca couldn't help but let out a laugh at the sight of Dolphi wearing the shark familiar's clothes. The said dolphin didn't look pleased at all, both at Memoca's laughter and the fact that she was forced to wear the shark's clothes of all people.
Everything seemed a little too loose due to Samekichi's build, but Dolphi didn't seem to have any trouble moving around, with her hair tied up at the back, except that it just had to be her who was supposed to be the shark. She… wasn't a shark. Pouting as she nervously made her way towards Tarako and Memoca, she kept on holding on to her pants as the seagull playfully patted her back.
"That's the spirit, Dolph!" Memoca tried containing her laughter, but it was futile as she almost spit after trying to hold it in. "Now you look like a real shark!"
Dolphi could only wail a prolonged 'nooo' as she shoved Memoca to the side, the said seagull only responding with more laughter as Tarako watched in amusement. "I'm… I'm not…! A shark!" Tears were threatening to fall from her eyes, and upon noticing, Memoca stopped laughing. She settled with a wide grin, and reaching over to ruffle the dolphin's hair, she let out one last laugh.
"Okay, okay, you aren't! I was jus' joking!" It seemed to effectively calm Dolphi down, the confirmation that she wasn't a shark, although she still was pouting. Tarako innocently made their way beside her though, beaming a little as they leaned on her.
"Now that Dolphi is Samekichi, I would like to give you an honorary Octokiss!" The small octopus was moving closer to Dolphi's face, and the said dolphin responded with a confused 'eh?' along with a horrified look on her face, while Memoca's eyes turned sharp at the words. "All Samekichis are required to receive octokisses by me, so here we go!"
"Wh-Wha–?! I-I-I'm not a Samekichi! I-I'm not a shark! Wahh–"
"Oi, oi, oi! Get your stubby tentacles away from my girlfriend's face! Nobody's allowed to kiss her but m–"
The sound of the front door opening made them pause in their little fight, and with panic filling their chests, they turned towards the door to the three people they didn't wish came home this soon. Wadanohara stared in confusion and slight shock, Samekichi had his mouth open, and the look on Fukami's face exceeded both previously mentioned ones, especially after noticing Tarako dressed with a blue wig, who seemed to be going for a kiss, to Dolphi even who was obviously dressed up as Samekichi.
It was him who broke the silence. "What…" The grip on the plastic bag filled with things he bought from the store tightened, a dark look already creeping up to his face. "is the meaning…"
The three inside the living room sweated and panicked internally, before Dolphi and Tarako simultaneously pointed at Memoca, who had her wings up in defense. Wadanohara could only mutter a small 'oh my' under her breath, especially at noticing how tight her own clothes wear on the seagull.
Samekichi had his hand on his face. "One hour," He sighed. "We were gone for one hour,"
"I…" Memoca gulped. "I can explain,"
"Yeah, sure, you can. So? Care to tell us why you're wearing Wadanohara's clothes, Dolphi is wearing my clothes, and Tarako is… has a mop on their head…? Why,"
"Well,"
