The next morning, dropping my white blazer onto the back of my chair, I pulled my chair over to Tony's desk.

"Hun, what are you doing?" I said in my voice I usually saved for kids. But at the moment Tony was at the point were one thing wrong and he could explode. Whether it be in tears or anger I was yet to figure out but either one.

"I angered somebody enough to frame me. I am going through everyone who I put away and writing them down." just looking at his face I could see that it was anger that would burst out. Seeing only 3 names I decide to help him.

"Here. I'll take last 4 months. You do the ones from Baltimore. Then when the others get back from meeting the director they can do the in-between." I said putting my hand on his arm. He nodded so I grabbed a piece of paper off of his desk and started writing. Sticking at his desk instead of moving back to mine.

"Bella?"

"Yea, Tony." I said looking up to see him staring at me.

"What's going on between you and Chip?" he asked timidly. I often blew up at him for asking questions like that. Especially ones about me and Jimmy.

"Nothing. In all honestly I was trying not to laugh at you. He … kind of creeps me out." I said shrugging before looking down, starting to write again. The only sound that could be heard was Tony's typing. A few minutes later we heard voices.
"I wish you luck with that." we heard Gibbs say but didn't look up.
"Lateral move into the recreational sector?" Ziva asked moving to her desk
"Yeah, it mostly means fishing and hitting a golf ball." Gibbs said sitting down at his desk smile still on his face till he saw us. "DiNozzo? Swan?"
"Yeah, Boss." Tony said looking up.
"What are you doing?" he asked
"Somebody's setting me up." Tony said.
"Two surgically-removed legs dumped into a training area. Do you think?" Gibbs asked
"Yeah, we were trying to think of arrestees with grudges." I said finally giving up and putting my pen on the table.
"Wouldn't they all have grudges?" Ziva asked.
"You see our dilemma." Tony said.
"Mike Macaluso?" Tim read, standing behind me looking at Tony's computer screen.
"He's the Mafia boss Tony busted in Baltimore." Gibbs said
"They get a little touchy when they think of you as family and you turn out to be a cop." Tony said with an uneasy face.

"Honestly, Tony." I shook me head. Before pushing my loose brown bang out of my face, today I had the top layer of my hair in a Beehive in, lower half down. I had a blue wire wrap just behind my bangs. Charlie, his new wife, Sue and Sue's children, Seth and Leah, were over and I was going out to dinner with them to night, straight from work, so I had a floral print dress shirt on and black leggings. I also had the only type of heels I could walk (and run) in. Wedges.
"What about that forensics dweeb that you got fired?" Abby said, playing with her fingers, from the other side of Tony's desk.
"I didn't arrest him, Abby." Tony said like he was speaking to a two year old.
"Yeah, but you really, really, really pissed him off." Abby said putting emphasis on the third 'really'.
"Forensic tech set a killer free when he contaminated some blood samples. Tony reported him." Tim explained at mine and Ziva's confused faces.
"Good old George Stewart." he said adding him to his list.
"You know, maybe you should expand the list just to include people that just hate you." Tim said.

"Good point." I said, adding all of Tony's 'Ex-girlfriends' to the list.
"Hate me? Nobody hates me." Tony scoffed.
"Paula Cassidy?" Tim said.
"Don't go there. People like me. I'm a nice guy." Tony said in a voice somewhere between desperate and serious.
"What about the woman who posted your picture on the herpes alert website?" Tim said.
"Lieutenant Pam Kim." Tony aid staring ahead, like looking back in his memories.
"She so went Fatal Attraction on you." Abby chipped in.
"Boiled the bunny." Tony spared a glance to Abby before looking back at his 'memories'.
"Oh, don't forget about Mrs. Dean."
"Another girlfriend?" Ziva asked leaning on her desk.
"No, she threatened to cut off his…" Tim said wiggling his little finger, "when Tony put her husband away for murdering his first wife."
"Speaking about wives. What about your ex-girlfriend, Monica?" Ziva asked. I was so out of the loop here. Ziva only arrived 2 months before me.
"I always break up with them when I find out they're married, Ziva. Okay, all right. Thank you all, but I think that's enough."

"Tony. What did you do?" I asked. Tim just patted me on the shoulder.

"Okay, that's it enough." Tony said as Tim moved to the other side of Tony and bent down to point at the screen with an open mouth. Ziva sat down and Tim stood up straight. All was silent for a few seconds before Ziva jumped up.
"The personnel in the evidence garage?"
"What about them?" Tony asked confused as Tim, Abby and I all shared looks.
"They hate you." Ziva said
"She's right. You never wait your turn to check in evidence." Tim added.
"And women don't appreciate being called 'baggie bunnies.'" I said patting his hand.

"Thanks Izzy." Tony said sarcastically.
"They're right, DiNozzo. Eight years. Three different forces." Gibbs said coming over and grabbing my sheet of paper and coping Tony's off of his computer screen.
"That's a lot of names and people to remember, Boss." Tony said putting his head in his hands.
"Ziva, take the women. McGee, you take the men. Bells you do people DiNozzo Sr. angered that might use his son as revenge. I'll pull the case files of the ones DiNozzo put away who aren't on the list." Gibbs said barely looking up. I moved quickly back to my desk, dragging my chair.
"Wait a minute, you never do anything." Tony said seconds before I heard the sound of contact that would be Tony getting a head slap.
"Because you're such a good delegator." Tony said, I had just picked up my phone to phone one of my contacts when the elevator doors opened and Abby said "Oh, this is not good."
I looked up and saw Fornell and one handsome agent walk in.
"Gibbs. DiNozzo. This is Special Agent Sacks." Fornell said gesturing to the handsome agent. I watched as Gibbs took Fornell off to the side. Agent Sacks just stood there awkwardly. After a few seconds silence Gibbs and Fornell walked back.
"Tony, Fornell's going to question you."
"You mean interrogate me."
"Question..." Gibbs said leaning forward and whispering something to him.
"After we talk to Agent DiNozzo, we'll need to requisition any evidence involved in the case." Agent Sacks told us.
Tony walked around his desk and met Fornell and Sacks. And walked out the bullpen. As soon as they turned at the end of the bullpen Gibbs turned to us.
"Are we covered on evidence?" he asked before sitting down.
"I'll just need a few hours to copy the data from Tony's hard drive, cell phone and…" Tim started, rushing towards Tony's computer and sitting down, before getting cut off by Abby.
"I'll make duplicates of all…"she said, walking out the bullpen.
"Have Ducky do the same." he called.
"What can I do?" Ziva asked standing at Gibbs' desk.
"Help. Help Abby. Help McGee. Help Ducky." Gibbs said before standing up and coming over to me. "Bells, I know its hard but you need to give us a rough profile of the guy who set up Tony." he told me and I nodded and woke up my computer. And started to work on impossible task #1.

"Mike Macaluso. Still in jail. My sources say, his family is very happy about it." Ziva said hanging up her phone.
"How is it you've been in this country only a couple months, and you already have sources?" Tim asked.
"Who says my sources are from this country, McGee?" said, as my phone started ringing.
"Swan." I said in my usual phone voice

"Hey there Swan." a rough voice replied.

"Hi Paul." when Charlie married Sue he was put in a need to know area. By himself, they offered to tell him everything, but he was happy there. He had shortly after given the boys jobs in the police force. Sam declined in favour of his building company. And that lead to Paul being left in charge whilst Charlie came here.

"Your man, John Taylor, was killed in prison 4 years ago."

"Killed in prison?" I put a red line through Taylor's photo.

"I'm very sorry. Anything else you need, vampire girl."

"No, apart from you to stop calling me that." I looked up to see Gibbs walk over, "Thanks for the information." I said.

"Bye vampire girl." Paul said as I hang up.

"Dead." I told him
"Where are we?" he asked standing in front of the big screen next to his desk..
"Head of my suspects list is George Stewart." Tim said bring the photo up larger. "The forensic tech Tony got fired from Baltimore P.D. Lost everything when Tony accused him of contaminating blood samples in oh-two." him and Ziva walked over and joined Gibbs at the screen.
"Define everything." Gibbs asked.
"Wife, house, kids. Fought the firing in court and he won but by then no one would hire him. Disappeared two years ago."
"How'd he win?"
"Don't know. George Stewart versus Baltimore P.D. was sealed."
"Un-disappear him." Gibbs ordered, not in his usual tone. But a softer one.
"Right." Tim nodded. Ziva took the floor.
"Lieutenant Pam Kim." she enlarged Kim's photo "Surgical nurse. Fully capable of slicing off the woman's legs. Met Tony on the Jeremy Davison serial rapist case."
"At Quantico." Gibbs stated.
"She's the one that egged Tony's car." Tim told us.
"Really?" Ziva asked.
"Where is she now?" Gibbs asked.
"Virginia. Returned two weeks ago from a tour in Iraq. She's on her honeymoon at the Greenbriar." Gibbs turned to his computer and started typing away.
"Who'd she marry?" Tim asked
"Scott Sparks." Ziva said.
"Boss, that's the guy that she was engaged to when she met Tony." Tim said in a rush.
"Get her in here." Gibbs ordered Ziva.
"On it." Ziva said moving to her desk and picking up her badge and gun.
"Uh…. Boss?" Tim asked in a timid voice.
"Uh-huh." Gibbs gave a sound to show he was listening.
"I was thinking, she's… she's on her honeymoon." Tim stuttered.
"Yeah?" Gibbs said in a tone that showed he didn't care. Tim just turned around and walked to his desk and started typing.

I was alone in the bullpen. Gibbs was interrogating Pam Kim and Tim and Ziva had gone to watch. I was sat at my desk still looking for George Stewart. He fit in to my profile we just couldn't find him. I was looking in to the court hearing that happened. Charlie had pulled a few strings with people he knew. Apparently Stewart had sent the bloods to a lab called 'Pemberton Medical Analysis '. I ran my finger through my hair, the beehive long gone. I folded my arms on the desk and put my head on them. Where would I find a list of old lab techs. That's Tim's area of expertise. I was so lost in my thoughts I didn't hear someone coming up beside me. I felt the hand in my shoulder though. I jumped up and spun in the direction of the hand to see the amused and concerned face of the Director.

"You all right?" she asked.

"Fine, Director." I replied turning back to the computer, blushing at being caught.

"I'm not asking as the Director. I'm asking as a concerned friend." Jenny said sitting on Bella's desk. Bella leaned back in her chair and sighed.

"Tony didn't do this. But the evidence says other wise." I said once again putting my head in my hands.

"But we have the best NCIS team working to prove he's being set up. You'll have this case solved before the end of the day." Jenny said, putting her hand on my shoulder. "You're dressed nice. Got a date tonight?" Jenny asked.

"My family are here in DC. I was suppose to get dinner with them tonight but I had to cancel." I said not taking my face out of my hands. "Wasn't looking forward to going anyway. My step-mum trying to replace my mum. My step-brothers awkward around me due to the fact he use to have a crush on me. And my step-sister hates me." I lied trying to stop Jenny from forcing me to go. In truth Seth and I were not awkward around each other, Leah no longer hated me and Sue was amazing and never tried to take my mums place. I looked up and I could see doubt in her eyes but she didn't argue.

"Okay if you're sure. Here look up George Petrie. It's George Stewart's alias." she added moving off my desk to stand behind me. I quickly looked him up.

"Works in the state morgue. He's the ME's assistant. Worked there for a year and a half." I said as she lent down and wrote it on a piece of paper. "I'll give this to Jethro then I'll make some phone calls and see if I can get the court case unsealed." she said standing up straight and walking around my desk. "Good job Bells." she called as she left. Sighing I turned back to my computer and looked up the lab. I was looking through all the employees that were fired back in oh-two. I stopped at one of the photos. I quickly printed it off. Once I had a paper copy I shut down the programs on the computer. I speed walked to the elevator. I made it to the the elevator moments before the doors shut. After the doors shut I noticed who was standing next to me. I folded the paper in half before he had a chance to see what was on it.

"Hi Bella." he said, looking over at me.

"Hey Chip." I said avoiding eye contact. Was it me or was it getting hotter in here?

"What you got there?" Chip asked gesturing to the paper in my hands.

"This... oh it's... George Stewart's alias and where he currently works." I said. At least I knew what to say if he asked me about them.

"Really?" he asked, unbelieving me.

"Yea. George Petrie. Works ME's assistant at the at the state morgue." I said looking him in the eye for the first time. The doors opened on the floor I wanted so I stepped out. I had taken to two steps when a hand went over my mouth and waist and I got pulled back into the elevator.

"I'm not stupid." he growled. Something sharp entered my neck. "See how long it takes them to notice you're gone. See you in 12 hours." and that was the last thing I remembered before my vision went black, my body collapsing into Chip's arms. A picture of Charles Starling with a moustache in court fell to the floor.

I don't remember how I got here or where here is. But my head hurts like I've been drinking. I was in the dark. My hands and feet had been tied up, there was duck-tape over my mouth and I couldn't feel my phone in my pocket. I leaned back on what I thought was metal. I was in some sort of metal cabinet. I could hear voices talking but my head hurt to much to focus. But they sounded familiar. Then it hit me.

"All I'm saying is that you might want to warn the person who actually made the mistake that got Stewart fired." that... That was Abby! No can't be!
"Now that-" a distant voice said, like she was on the phone. It got suddenly got cut off.
"Hello? Hello?" she called.
"It looks like we lost our connection, Abby." as soon as I heard Chip's voice I started moving around in the cupboard.
"It was you! You worked at Pemberton Medical Analysis." Abby said, oh how I wish I could see this. Or better yet stop this.
"Until I got fired!"
"You took this job just to set up Tony. What's that noise? Is there someone in the cupboard?"
"Will you shut up!" he shouted. And I bet he was talking to me and not Abby. "Yep. And I did a pretty good job at it, didn't I? Didn't I? You know, I thought a fair trade would be taking down those two idiots who got me fired! But you couldn't leave well enough alone, could you?! Could you?! And you know Bella figured it out."

"Bella! That's who's in there!"

"Yep." I didn't have to see it to know Chip was smirking. I heard a splash followed by a thump. So I guess somebody just got covered in Caf-Pow. Another thump. But this one sounded like metal falling to the floor. Chip didn't have a knife did he. Somebody was rugby tackled to the floor. Was that duck-tape? I heard Chip trying to shout so I guess Abby is a secret kung-fu ninja.

"Abby!" thank god! Gibbs is here! I start moving again.
"Now can I work alone?" Abby asked.

"What's that?" Jenny asked her voice moving closer. Suddenly the doors were yanked open and I closed my eyes at the sudden harshness called light. It didn't take long and when I opened my eyes I saw 2 guns pointed at me.

"Bella?" Tony asked putting his gun away and stepped forward and pulled the tape of my mouth.

"Over 12 hours I was gone. Did no one notice I was missing?" I asked as Gibbs picked me up and placed me on Abby's spinny chair. He untied my hands and then my legs. Once he was done he pulled me into a hug. Despite me being angry at him, I hugged him back. He kissed the top of my head.

"Of course we noticed you were missing." Tim said in a voice that doubted whether or not he thought I was joking. I pulled away from Gibbs and stood up. I slowly made my way Tony. He grinned at me before pulling me in for a hug.

When we arrived back at the bullpen, we met up with Fornell and Sacks. I noticed Abby sat at Gibbs' desk, Gibbs stood behind her and Jenny sat on his desk like a family of three. Family! The family dinner! I looked at the clock on the edge of the computer. 45 minutes till dinner. I still had time.

"You need to tell us what happened?" Fornell said.

"Start at the part where I left you to find Gibbs." Jenny said.

"My dad's a police officer and he as connections really high. Higher then I do. So when I phoned him saying I couldn't make dinner he asked if there was anything he could do I asked if he knew anyone who could unseal the court case. He did I was going through it and found the lab Stewart- or should I say Petrie- used. Going through the list that was let off I found a picture of one 'Charles Starling' I printed it off and I was bringing it down to you when, who else should have been in the elevator but Chip. He stopped me from leaving the elevator and then injected me with something. When I woke up I was in that cupboard." I finished into the expected silence.

"Thank you." Fornell said before turning to Gibbs and the Director. "The team can come watch the interrogation if they want." before going to leave for interrogation room 1.

"Fornell!" Gibbs shouted. The FBI agents turned round.

"You'll need these." Jenny said holding up a pair of scissors. The agents shared a look but Sacks stepped forward and took the scissors. Me and Tony looked at each other. Tony stood up and came over to my desk. I quickly looked at the time again. I had 25 minutes till I needed to leave so I stood up and put my blazer on. Still can't believe I didn't bring a spare set of clothes with me. So dressed in yesterdays clothes me and Tony lead the way down to interrogation, the others following behind us.

We just got into the observation room as the finished cutting Chip out.

"So Charles... Why did you do it?" Fornell asked. My eyes widened. That was his starting line.

"I thought it would be fair play to stitch up the two guys who got me fired." Chip said staring Fornell in the eyes.

"What about Agent Swan?" Sacks asked "Why kidnap her?" that wasn't hard to answer.

"I didn't want to do it. If I wanted to do anything to hurt Bella I would have taken the red-head up on her offer." Chip said. I felt the colour drain from my face.

"Offer?" Fornell asked leaning forward.

"Yea. Some red-haired, pale skinned, red eyed freak came up to me and say 'I know what your planning' then she says she'll give me £10,000 to frame Bella for framing Tony. But I didn't want to hurt Bella I didn't." Chip insisted.

I sighed. Victoria. Brilliant just what I needed.

"You know someone like that?" Gibbs asked. I shook my head 'no'. There was no way I was putting them in danger.

"I better be going. See you tomorrow." I said walking to the door.

"No you won't." Jenny said much to the teams shock. "Take the day off and spend it with your family. I spoke to Palmer. Apparently you were looking forward to seeing brother and sister again." Jenny said giving my 'the look'.

Gibbs opened his mouth to argue so I nodded to them and left. Tim followed me. Once we were in the elevator he turned to me.

"Did you really think we didn't notice you were missing?" Tim asked.

"Would you believe me if I said no?" I asked looking up at him.

"Knowing you? No." Tim said shaking his head. "Hey, Bells I was wondering whether ..." he trailed off, looking to the floor quickly then back up, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Yes?" I asked confused. Why was he acting like this? The elevator doors opened and I realised that my dad was going to pick me up from work yesterday. I never made it back home so it's still at home. I sighed.

"Would you like a lift?" Tim said noticing my dilemma.

"Please. I wouldn't normally ask-" Tim cut me off.

"You're not asking I'm volunteering." Tim said grabbing my arm and pulling me to his car. He opened the door for me and I felt my face breaking into a massive smile. Getting into the car I notice it smelled like him. New books and Ink.

"Where to?" he asked starting the engine. I gave him the address of the restaurant.

"So what was it you were wondering?" I asked looking at him before looking out the window.

"Oh it doesn't matter." He replied his knuckles turning white on the steering wheel.

"Now you've got me interested. What is it?" I asked turning in my seat to face him.

"Well I was wondering if maybe... if you wanted to … um … prof-read my book." he said nervously. I had a feeling that wasn't what he wanted to ask me.

"Sure I'd love to. I actually write myself." I told him turning back to the window as I said the last bit.

"Really?" he asked almost excited.

"Yea." I started blushing.

"How about one night you come over and we read the other's. You know exchange criticism." I was really blushing now.

"Sure. I'd like that." we had now reached the restaurant. I could see Charlie, Sue, Seth and Leah standing outside. I looked at the clock on the dashboard. Hmm just on time.

"That your family?" Tim asked noticing them standing out side.

"Yea. Thanks for the lift." I opened the car door. Just as I was about to step out Tim grabbed my arm.

"Back at the Navy Yard. I was actually going to ask if you wanted to go to dinner with me tomorrow night?" he asked, nervousness leaking from him.

"I would like that. Come by my plate at say 8:30?" I asked blushing redder then a tomato probably.

"Sure see you then." I nodded and stepped out the car and walked towards my family.

"Who's the cutie?" Leah asked raising her eyebrows.

"His name's Timothy McGee. I work with him. He offered me a lift due to the fact I got a lift off of Jimmy." I said as I hugged her then Seth. "Dad." I said pulling him in for a hug.

"Bells." he replied. I pulled away and turned to Sue. She broke into a smile and stepped forward. I wrapped my arms around her shoulder.

"Congratulations." I whispered, I felt her tense.

"How do you know?" she whispered back.

"Please. I investigate crime scenes for a living. I think I can tell THAT." I said pulling back, much to the confusion of the others, who were oblivious to what we were whispering about.

We entered the restaurant and were lead to a table. Seth, Leah and I sat on one side, while Charlie and Sue sat on the other. When we sat down Charlie turned to me.

"How did the case go?" he asked making Sue and Leah groan.

"Seriously taking about that over the dinner table?" Seth asked. Charlie and I laughed.

"Fine," I said. "Although having the open court case did lead to me being knocked out over night."

"What? Now I'm interested. Continue telling us about the case." Sue said leaning forward in concern.

"One of my colleges was framed for murder. Our top suspect had disappeared after being in court to fight a firing that he claimed was wrong. He won the case and disappeared after no-one would hire him. Dad got one of his friends to open the court case for me. I noticed that Abby's ,our forensic scientist's, new assistant was in one of the court cases. I was on my way to tell Gibbs, my boss, the assistant stopped me. He was the one who framed my college. He injected me with a sleeping concoction that knocked me out over 12 hours." I said all that looking at the table in front of me.

"Wow. Glad I'm a teacher." Leah said. She had accepted a job at the high school on the reservation the week before I left for law school as a teaching assistant. 3 years in she was promoted to a teacher. Charlie and I started laughing and soon we were all laughing.

Once we were finished Charlie and Sue shared a look and put her knife and fork down.

"We have something to tell you." Charlie started.

"I'm pregnant." Sue finished. Well the looks on Seth's and Leah's faces were hilarious. The two started congratulating the pair. Once they were done Seth turned to me.

"You knew." he accused, pointing his finger at me.

"Like I told Sue. I investigate crime scenes, I profile people I've never met, for a living." I said holding my hands up in a 'I'm innocent gesture'.

"We're heading home early tomorrow for a scan. I hope you don't mind." Charlie asked. We all shook our heads negative.

"Speaking of tomorrow. The Director gave me the day off." I said looking at Seth and Leah.

"Brilliant. I'll get to spend time with my favourite girls." Seth said putting an arm around both me and Leah.

"Considering they're leaving early. Can me and Seth stay at your place tonight?" Leah asked.

"Sure. Jimmy won't mind." I said shrugging.
