Hey guys,

Wow, so sorry about the delay but I've been busy and only managed to work on this and finish it today which for me was pretty good since I planned on putting it off for another day or two but well, I decided that was the wrong course of action and it was time to work on this!

And I did, which reminds me! I want to play a game with you and that is called what is this two chapter villain based off of? It's actually based off something I love a lot, not my all time favorite, but something I do like and I believe a fan actually asked me to design a character after this and this was what I came up with. I thought about basing all of Ari's spells off the creature too, but I decided I'd be a bit more creative with it.

Anyways, I better go, I have a long day tomorrow that involves extra Chemistry, Band Sections and getting my hair cut and dyed. I hope you like this chapter and enjoy it...wait...Ugh, I have to talk about this...

I want to dedicate this to, or at least take this time to remember and honor the life of Justin Carmical also known as Jew Wario who sadly passed away through a suicide last Thursday. I'm going to miss you big guy and if Pokemania is continued after your passing, I'll never forget all the amazing stuff you said and did through the reviews of the first three movies. It's a shame we had to lose you and TGWTHG Specials won't be as fun without you.

And with that somewhat sad, but I feel needed ending, I really should get to sleep. Enjoy chapter 42,

xKiha

"Hey Yusuke?"

The seventeen year old cousin to Kimiko turned to look at his demon partner who stood in what seemed to be the center of the living room. Up until this point she had been absent while the other three played some old video games Yusuke had dug up from his early boyhood and Kimiko found just nostalgic enough to want to play.

"Is something wrong, Set?" He asked, pausing the game which caused his cousin to groan as her character paused mid-slash.

"No." She looked away with a nervous blush, shifting her weight and folding her tiny arms behind her back. "I was just thinking that maybe we could go up the mountain again today."

It had been three days since their last escapade on the mountain where Setsuko had openly attempted to destroy Tsumi and little to say both members of the poison duo found themselves a bit hesitant to take the offer. Yusuke stretching before properly sitting up and facing his demon child. "Now why would you want to do something like that? Haven't we already gone up the mountain?"

"Not really." The glass demon muttered. "And we didn't even take them to our spot."

"Your spot?" Tsumi asked as he looked over to Setsuko who blushed just at the extra amount of attention which only made Yusuke smirk as he spoke. "It's just a place on the mountain where Set likes to sit and look at the water and animals."

"We could have a picnic…it'd be fun." Setsuko's face a deep red by now only due to rather powerful shyness. "O-Only if you guys want to though…"

"Sounds fun."

Yusuke turned to see Kimiko place her own controller down, stretching out her arms with a slight moan. They had been doing this for at least an hour or two and well, maybe they should avoid doing nothing but gaming when there's something like a demon battle always being placed on your shoulders. "You'd want to do that, Kiki?"

She rolled her eyes at the nickname. "Why not? It couldn't hurt to actually do something, right Tsumi?"

The poison demon took a moment to come to, seeming to have spaced out while looking at Setsuko, blinking his wide purple eyes before nodding. "Uhm, yeah! Sure, it sounds like a fun thing to do." Although he couldn't exactly remember just what Setsuko was planning.

"Well, if our guests want to do it, who am I to be the odd man out?" Yusuke said as he stood up. Honestly he had an idea of why his little demon was so eager to go to the mountains, something he didn't like to think all too much about but he couldn't ignore what he knew was true.

'Who did this to you!? Setsuko, it's…oh God…it's everywhere!'

'The demon in the mountains…'

'Where are the bandages!? Don't touch your arm, you'll infect it!...H-Hold on, what's the demon in the mountains!? Setsuko! Setsuko you talk to me! Who is the demon in the mountains!?'

'He just said I shouldn't be there and then he slashed by arm up…I-I didn't do anything, Yusuke….I-I was just on the mountain…'

"Yusuke?"

The seventeen year old boy jerked, turning to see his completely healthy demon partner, somewhat panicked eyes immediately settling at the sight of her gentle and fawn-like brown eyes. "Yes, Setsuko?"

"Are you okay? You spaced out for a second there." The shy and small girl said worriedly, knowing it wasn't much like her bookreader to just space off out of nowhere. "Is something wrong?"

"No, of course not." He approached his partner, ruffling her hair in a way that caused the child to immediately reach up to fix her bow. "I was just thinking of all the things I should bring to the picnic in your spot." Seeing her innocent smile when she got her bow where she wanted it and finding himself smiling in return.

'There is no more demon in the mountains, I'm sure of it.'

And even so, he still couldn't help but glance to his spellbook.

"Setsuko, how much farther is it?"

It was two hours later when the group had decided to begin their trek to the spot that Setsuko seemed so eager to get to, delegating Yusuke to carry everything for the event she had created much to his rather silent chagrin. The shy girl actually leading them on the familiar path to what she could only call her favorite spot in all of the Human World.

"It's not all that far." She smiled, a slight spring in her step as she continued to lead them.

"You know, I never thanked you."

Kimiko suddenly turned to look at Yusuke, lifting an eyebrow. "What are you talking about? Why are you thanking me?"

"Well, you might not see it, but you've changed my little Setsuko." Yusuke suddenly having a very paternal look in his eyes. "Up until three days ago, she didn't trust anybody but me. And believe me, it took a long time for her to even speak to me, let alone trust me. But suddenly she seems stronger, like she just might be able to make real friends in this game and rely on others."

"We did that much?" Kimiko blinked, cocking her head as she looked to Setsuko walking ahead of them.

Yusuke chuckled. "Yeah, you really did. And I couldn't be prouder of her for being able to do everything that she has and become stronger doing it."

"You know, the same thing happened to us."

"How so?" The seventeen year old looked to his fifteen year old cousin, Kimiko smiling gently as she glanced to her partner for a moment before looking back to Yusuke.

"I guess we became stronger when we made friends. It started with us almost getting beaten and destroyed by who would eventually become a member of our friend group. We were so scared after that and it wound up with me resorting to go to a sick kid at the hospital who was in my class but I had never spoken to before only because I knew had a book. And the insane thing is that he's now, well, that sick kid became my best friend."

"No kidding?"

"No, it's been quite the ride. I've made some of the best friends and we've all grown up into better and stronger people and demons through this journey." Kimiko said fondly, smiling to herself. "And I wouldn't trade what we've done for anything. They helped us fight the strongest enemy any of us had ever seen before and with their support, we actually did it."

"Think we could join that group?"

Kimiko was somewhat surprised. "You'd want to join?"

"Yeah, I would." Yusuke cockily smiled. "I think it'd be good for Set and I if we were around more people and got to grow."

The poison bookreader found herself smiling along with her elder cousin, nodding. "I'd be honored to have you join. I'm sure everybody else will be too."

Yusuke opened his mouth to say something else, but never got the chance.

"We're here!"

The bookreader's directed their attention to their demons who now sat on top a little grassy cliff-like formation. The glass demon seeming somewhat excited as she waved the two over, her big eyes bright and excited. "Come on you guys! You're taking forever!"

"Gosh, you're excited." Yusuke playfully muttered. "If we're going so slow, you could have helped by carrying things."

Kimiko barely paid either any mind as she walked ahead to get a view of this spot, wanting to understand just why it was so exciting for the little demon.

And when she did, she immediately understood.

Kimiko found herself standing on the edge of the small cliff-like spot and had what she found only describe as the most amazing view she had ever had before. The water they had been taken to a day or so before was in sight but in a way that caused sunlight to reflect of it and make the water look like it was made of diamonds of something of the sort. The landscaping was gorgeous in this spot and the sky was big and open. Kimiko felt the gentle winds blowing through her hair as she closed her eyes, enjoying this serene moment with the biggest smile.

This was what she had needed, to have just a moment where she could feel so at peace and relaxed.

"Hey, you just going to stand there or are you going to eat with the rest of us?"

Kimiko snapped to attention as she turned to see Yusuke and the others unboxing bentos for their lunch on the mountain, glancing over her shoulder to the mountain again as she felt herself smile. "You're really good at picking the perfect spot, Setsuko. It's beautiful."

"You think so?" The demon girl asked as the poison bookreader sat beside her, looking over the meal.

"Yeah, I think it's amazing."

Setsuko blushed brightly as Yusuke smiled, opening his mouth to say something else, likely something along the lines of getting ready to eat. However, he never got there thanks to what came next.

"Kami Sori!"

Setsuko released a scream as Kimiko jerked and immediately ripped into her bag, grabbing their purple spellbook. "Rerano!"

The purple shield appeared, spinning around them, Kimiko motioning for the glass duo to kneel down in the grass with them to hide which they quietly did.

And out of nowhere a slash of energy slashed into the Rerano spell which pushed everybody back in a burst of energy but managed to somewhat hold up, shocking Kimiko at the strength in the thing.

"T-The demon in the mountains!" Setsuko suddenly beginning to hyperventilate.

"What do you mean?" Tsumi suddenly asked as their shield began to fade to show a figure standing before them.

He was tall, likely in his early early teens and carried himself as if trying to seem even older. He was wearing a white denim jacket and white pants along with a black t-shirt and shoes. He had deep red eyes and white hair, or mostly white since he had an odd flap of sorts that shaped from the left half of his forehead across his face and formed into a point at his chin that was completely stained black.

"That's the demon in the mountains!" Setsuko cried out, trying to cower but finding herself frozen in fear. "He attacked me once when I went to come up here to watch the sun set one time! I-I've never gone up here alone since because I knew he'd attack me!"

"Set, it's okay." Yusuke said, although he wasn't all too sure himself as he hesitated, gripping their book tightly.

"Now now, little Setsuko, no need to be afraid of me." The demon snickered as he took a step forward, removing his hands from his pockets to reveal what seemed to be long black claws on his palms. "I'm not here to play a little game between us. I'm here to have an actual fight this time."

Setsuko didn't know what to think, turning to see a woman step out of the bushes. She looked like she had been living up on the mountains for a long time, scraggly brown hair in knots and clothes dirty and covered in self-made patches. She held a dark dark green spellbook, smiling to her softly. "It's been so long since Ari has had somebody to play with. I hope you two can have so much fun."

"N-No…please." Setsuko shaking, feeling tears well up in her eyes. "I-I don't want to do this."

"Come on, you can't be scared of a little match between old friends, can you?" Ari said as he held out a clawed hand towards the glass demon. "We barely fought the first time we met since you were alone and too weak to fight. But you must have gotten stronger by now."

"She has."

Both demons turned to see Tsumi standing up, the poison demon looking to the sniffling Setsuko and giving her a reassuring smile. "You're going to be okay, Setsuko. Remember how strong you've gotten and think about how you almost beat me." The glass demon looking at him in surprise, not all too sure why he was suddenly really keen on helping her out. "Come on, if he wants a fight. Let's give him one."

"Y-Yeah." The girl nodded, smiling softly as she went to stand up, wiping tears away.

"Kami Tsume!"

Kimiko wasn't sure what to expect, figuring another type of energy blast only to find Ari running forward at Tsumi, which managed to stun the poison demon as well. The child preparing himself for anything as he readied his fists, lowering his head in focus.

"Look out!"

Suddenly Ari smirked, narrowing his red eyes as he held out his hands, claws rocketing from his palms, in fact they were growing at a speed of a bullet train. Tsumi not able to react fast enough as they were stabbed into his body, the child grunting in shock as he felt ten razor little dagger like appendages shoot into his flesh. Some were in his legs or arms, others in his shoulder and abdomen.

And it hurt.

"T-Tsumi!" Setsuko squeaked in shock, Ari growling as he ripped his elongated claws from the poison demon in the most painful way possible. A slight smirk appearing on his face only because of the grunt of pain that came from the child when he hit the ground.

"This is something I know you're going to interfere with, which is why I'd rather kill you quickly so I may focus on my Setsuko." Ari growled, his claws returning to their normal size as he wiped off any blood left behind by Tsumi.

"D-Don't do this." Setsuko whimpered, looking to Yusuke and nodding with teary eyes. "P-Please, help me."

"Gotcha." Yusuke nodded, trying to get over the shock he himself was in as he grabbed his own glass colored book and opening to the first page. "D-Dono!"

Setsuko clenched her eyes shut. She really didn't know if she was all that strong, but she wanted to be. She wanted to be more than anything else, feeling the crystal like but painful glass shards appear around her body as she sent them at Ari.

She had to be strong, because without an ounce of strength or confidence she could never do anything in this battle! She had to do this!

"How cute."

Setsuko jerked only to find that Ari stood in the path of her shards, dodging at the last moment with a teasing look in his eyes as the glass struck trees around them, glittering off the afternoon sun in a moment of wasted beauty.

"This is why I waited for you, Setsuko. A little beauty trying to fight with whatever strength she can muster." Ari smirked. "It's adorable to watch you try."

"Don't talk like that about her!"

Both turned to see Tsumi lifting himself up from the ground, ignoring fresh wounds with eyes narrowed. "You have no idea what she has been through or how strong Setsuko really is!" The little girl in a bit of shock thanks to his almost blind faith in her. "You talk about her like she's some little doll trying to fight when she's made of glass, but she's not like that! She's strong and doesn't need you trying to tell her otherwise."

Ari smirked. "Is that so?"

"Yes it is!" Setsuko suddenly shouted before looking over to Tsumi who gave her a smile of supportive confidence. "I'm going to beat you, demon in the mountains or Ari, or whoever you are. T-Tsumi is right, I am stronger than this and I know without a doubt that I can beat you!

I'm going to become stronger like my friends have because if I can do this, I won't have to be shy or scared anymore!"
