A/N: Sorry about that, I was being a lazy ass yet again. But I believe I can make it up with this, yes…

Also, yes, do need to apologize to you and Gaara's father for dissing him about the name calling; I was forced, by you readers, to remember the true nature at which Gaara got his name.

And before you start jumping the gun and start bombing me with things like how I'm obviously hinting at NaruHina here, stop. I'm not. There is no real Naruto pairing in here yet, and there won't be for a while. Any pairing I use here, except MinaKushi and FugaMiko here is for laughs. Yes, my OTP is SasuNaruSasu, yes I do love NaruHina too, but I'm not going to write either of them in here as a canon until I close the poll and you, readers, pick the one pairing it shall be in the end.

Hell, it could even turn around and become a KakaNaru, or ItaNaru, for all I know. I'm not the one who's deciding, you are.

But, until the choice is clear, it's any pairing I throw in. And dammit, you all know Kushina would be a Hinata fangirl!

Disclaimer: Haaaa…. Naruto doesn't belong to me, its roots will forever belong to Masashi Kishimoto.

Kushina hummed softly, her lips quirking up as she stirred the soup (snake meat, which Mina-chan was kind enough to get for her), comforted by the relaxing atmosphere her young apprentice provided.

At first, Kushina had doubts she could teach Hinata anything much; the girl was already a prodigy at cooking, sewing, cleaning and honestly, everything relatable to housework (so different than Kushina at her age, who had to rely on Mikoto-chin, later in her teens, to try and drill some womanly attributes into her stubborn, tomboy friend; naturally, like always, Kushina triumphed over the dreaded Yamato Nadeshiko course and came out as a decent enough parry for Mikoto-chin). That was, of course, before she noticed, how shy and utterly a wreck Hinata was when someone was supervising her.

Kushina realized what Hinata actually wanted from her not too long into their cooking lessons; she wished to become a fine woman for her son. Using the centuries old Uzumaki tradition, for that was what her boy liked the most; Kushina started training her, after a scuffle at the Hyuga Compound, now official apprentice.

It was only later she found the girl and her had nothing in common, in terms of their chakra and affinities; the girl was a true born Konohian, with her Fire release, and a secondary affinity for Lighting (which came as a surprise, but shouldn't really, seeing as how nearly every seemingly good natured clan kid likes to act out) which was one was a mild one, but once developed, could be deadly. Kushina honestly expected the girl to be a water type (then again, she was the water type, and she too didn't really fit the description). The shy girl, with her Byakugan, also had a very calming, almost liquid chakra- as opposed to Kushina who's all about erratic and chaos.

Truthfully, the girl obviously should've been a better student for Mina-chan… But if there's anything Kushina likes more than ramen, it's a challenge.

So it was with a devious smirk and a tremendous amount of pride that Kushina took the girl under her wing; and oh, was the girl a promising student. She can already see a mini Minato in her (a true genius, modest and oh so powerful)!

And to her mini Kushina boy, she was a perfect match. She felt no guilt shipping them and even went as far as to encourage them deepening their friendship. Romance can come later, she knows this, and there was no need to hurry. There were many rivals, she knew, but Naruto was hardly interested in anything above family, friends and jutsus now.

She turned around, gave an up-lifting smile to the ravenette chopping the meat.

This gave her a great idea.

"Hina-chan, what do you know about chakra blades?"

Ha! We can't have Asuma being the only one prancing around with his blades, can we?
