No, it's not a new chapter; sorry to get your hopes up. It is, however, a very important question that needs an answer.
You've probably seen crossovers of this nature before; where the protagonists (often canonically young characters) are flung through a wormhole, or some such, finding themselves in a completely different world and start interacting with this new world almost immediately.
This always struck me as a bit unnatural.
So you see, my intention for this story was for Calvin and his friends to spend about fifteen years in Azeroth - getting accustomed to the world they now inhabit, and the ins and outs of their selected classes - before setting out to go a-questing.
Now, here's the thing.
I recently found the timeline of Azeroth. And if I did this now, at the point they are in the story, it would place them during events of Azeroth that, um… haven't happened yet.
So the way things stand, I could continue with this story the way I originally intended and sweep the temporal discrepancy under the rug. (but I just know that'll bother me to no end!) Or I could scrap the whole thing and start over.
So, what say you, readers? Should I press onward, leaving a glaring flaw in the narrative, or should I forge anew with a fresh take on the idea?
And if it does come to starting over, there was another idea I had.
What would you guys think if I made Hobbes a saberon? Think about it, this would give him an actual role to play, rather than just being a secondary "pet" to Calvin.
So think it over and let me know your thoughts and opinions. I look forward to hearing from you.
