Albus's pov

When Severus informed Albus that there was a Rachel Blackthorne that was coming to make sure Arabella was up with her demigod training and give her some more training to practice for the year that Albus found himself wondering. Albus wondered of who this Rachel Blacktrone and why the demigod prophecy hadn't come to pass yet provided that she was a daughter of Hades. Albus was really wishing the the should have learned more about the demigod world from Emily when he had the chance all those years ago. For he may have got better answers from her and there was a chance that she could told him of how Demigods are normally raised.

Ever since Severus mentioned Rachel last year that he tried to ask Severus more questions about Rachel. Severus refused to answer the questions or said that he didn't know, the only answer that Severus gave him that Rachel was an immortal demigod. Of which didn't help at all, he tried looking for records but there was no wizarding records, he even looks du the muggle records but there was no trace of a Rachel Blackthorne in the UK. He was sure if Emily was still alive that she would be able to help him out with finding out who Rachel Blacthrone was. As Albus stood at the window that he saw a young woman walking up the grounds towards the castle. This woman has to be Rachel Blackthorne that Severus brought up for it couldn't be anyone else. Albus pulled out his wand and tapped the window, the window zoomed onto the woman.

Albus expected that Rachel would look like an older version of Arabella, there were a couple of similarities but otherwise they couldn't be any different. Like Arabella, Rachel has pale skin, it was like she was hardly outside in the sun. Albus figured that pale skin was a trait of children of Hades. Instead of having dark red hair that Rachel has black hair that was as dark as the night, just like her eyes were as dark as the night but there was a gleam of madness in them. The gleam of madness made him feel unease, but there was emotions in her eyes that just didn't seem to fit her, loss, misery, broken and other emotions the seem too many to count. It was like she wears her emotions on her sleeves both the good and the bad, that her life was full of both good and bad. What surprise Albus was how young Rachel was, for she looked twenty two at the most, as Albus looked at her that he wondered if Arabella might end up like Rachel.

Albus was wondering of how and when he should approach this woman when she placed her foot on the steps of the castle. For a moment, the woman paused before she went on inside but Albus stared as the woman disappeared into the castle. The moment that Rachel placed her foot on the castle step that a ward went off, a ward that would only alert the headmaster. However there was a time when the ward only set off for two people, the headmaster and Albus before Albus become the headmaster. It was place there during the war in the 1940s and it was never removed for Professor Dippet didn't have the energy to remove it and Albus just didn't want to remove it when he become the headmaster. The ward tells the headmaster of when a member of Project demigod would enter Hogwarts, provided they had a reason to come here during the war. When he become headmaster that he had adjust it so that it would let him know when a member of Project Demigod or their descendants enter the castle.

That is what was puzzling to Albus for Severus made it clear that Rachel was a daughter of Hades. Just from her appearance that was clear to him as well but the ward says she was also a member of Project demigod or a descendant of Project Demigod. So why was the ward activated when Rachel touched the steps? Was she a descendant of a member of Project Demigod? But Snape's words was ringing though his mind, that she was an immortal Demigod. Was it possible that happens to be a member of project Demigod? But how could she? For there was daughter of Hades in Project Demigod, Emily made that very clear of that simple fact. That all children of Hades were on opposite sides of the rest of the demigods in the muggle war.

"Who are you? Are you even a normal demigod?" Albus tapped the window and it returned to it's original state before he went to his desk and sat down. He may not remember every name of Project demigod but he was sure that there none that had the last name of Blackthorne. But it had been about sixty five years since the war ended, of which meant that Rachel could be a third generation of Project demigod and that could be just enough for her to have the last name of Blackthorne and be a legacy of another god. For a legacy was possible but he never heard of a demigod being a legacy as well, it seems impossible. He wondered of what she knows of the wizarding world, that was something he needed to know. But there was there was one thing that he couldn't deny, that Rachel was a walking question.

When Severus come up and told him that his grandfather told him that Rachel was here and that he was going to show Rachel where she was going to sleep that Albus went along with him. Since Minerva was in there with him giving him details of some of the students that she came along as well. It was a chance for Albus to figure out of exactly who Rachel was and to see what kind of answers he could get from her. When they were close to Gryffindor tower that Albus noticed that Rachel just got out of the tower, now that she was in front of him that he noticed what she was wearing. A brown leather jacket that was from the 1940s or looks like it, a black shirt, black pants and black shoes, he wondered if it was common for a child of Hades to wear dark colors. However he could't help but notice things that he hadn't noticed earlier like the way she carried herself. That she carried herself like a soldier or a warrior, that she carries the burden of fighting in a war. But at the same time she held herself in a regal way like a princess would.

As soon as Severus called her name that Rachel turned around, her eyes were intense and they seem to be darker than when she entered the castle earlier. As he looked at Rachel that he tried to find any similarities between herself and Emily Barnes, for he was sure that jacket belonged to Emily in the 1940s. He wasn't sure where Emily got that brown jacket from but he knew it was important to her and she wouldn't give it to a random demigod without a good reason. Honestly, she would have more likely given it to her twin brother that she spoke about or her husband that he meet once than give it to Rachel. The only possibility that Albus could think of at the moment was that Rachel was her descendant. There some similarities like the shape of her face and her figure was similar but she was more fit than Emily was. However Minerva was the one that dragged him out of his thoughts.

"I am Minerva McGonagall. I am the deputy headmistress, head of Gryffindor and Transfiguration teacher."

"I am Rachel Blackthrone."

"So I assume while Arabella gets her last name from her mother that you have your last name from your father? That is assuming that you two share the same father as oppose to the mother." Rachel jerked her head to where he was standing. He noticed the slight panic appear but also slight relief, of which confused him slightly for that brief moment that it seems that Rachel knows him and who he was.

"Yes, Arabella and I share the same father but we have different mothers. Arabella uses her mother's maiden name. I once used my mothers maiden name till I was married myself."

Albus stared at her, it was the way she spoke the told him that she was aware of what he could do and gave her permission to search her memories. He lowered his glasses and head slightly as he stared into her intense eyes with her staring right at him not breaking contact. At first he thought he would see a black hair little girl but instead he was meet with a two year old blond girl playing with a two year old blond boy. It was clear from the memory that the set of twins were close to one another and it become clearer in the next few years with how the girl help defend her brother or the other way around. However it was happen very little when the blond boy defended his sister, at five the twins meet a dark brown hair boy that was a couple of years older than they were.

Than a year later their father died and a couple months before the blond girl was seven that the girl was adopted but didn't want to leave her brother and childhood friend behind. The girl promise that she will find them again, he could see the determination in her eyes and there was only few that he meet that had that kind of determination. The next year and a few months that the girl grew and started seeing things that her adopted parents couldn't see and called her a freak. She could control plants, make them grow faster as well as make the earth more fertile but there was no sign of accidental magic. Than at eight he watched as she ran from two monsters to be save by two men, for the next couple of years she stayed with them becoming close with the man called James.

Than at ten the same two monsters found her and she ran deeper into the first using her powers over the earth. But he could see her becoming tired than she feel and started to black out as someone came and stayed the two monsters. Than she woke up at a camp that was made and design for demigod and that was what she was, a demigod, a daughter of Demeter. For the next few years he watched as the woman grow older and become close with the children of Zeus more with the daughter of Zeus than the sons of Zeus. As he watched the memories that he couldn't help noticed that the time seem to be in the 1920s and 1930s. it wasn't till the blond hair girl reached fourteen that he started to understand why for the fourteen year old daughter of Demeter looked like Emily but only a few years younger. Not only that but the daughter of Zeus looks like Lauren Huntington, the one that fight along side his younger brother Aberforth.

Than he saw when the two girls joined the SSR and the time in the war included when he saw himself fighting along side Emily in the 1940s till his defeat of Grindelwald. For that was the last time he saw Emily, he kept on watching as she lost her husband before losing her brother. A week after losing her brother that Hades approached her and offered her the position of Princess and Heir of the underworld. Hades made a promise that in due time that she will find her husband and brother and to find closure from her loss. When Emily accepted that Hades' hands glow black and so did Emily and she glow so much that Albus had a hard time seeing of what was happen. When the glow faded that where Emily stood was Rachel Blackthrone.

Albus pulled out of her mind when he reached the memory and stared at her, till she left with Severus and turned the corner. It was than that he realized that Minvera had since left to check on her lions before going to bed, that he was sure of. After another minute that Albus managed to pull out of his thoughts before he went in the direction of where Rachel/Emily would be sleeping. For Albus had picked the quarters that Rachel would stay in and now with what he saw that he wanted to make sure that Rachel was indeed Emily. Albus was close to the corridor of where Rachel's room was when Severus turned and walked past him saying good night. Albus turned the corner and went to the painting, the woman in the painting could almost pass off as Emily's twin sister. Expect there was a few differences, like the woman in the painting had dark green eyes and her blond hair was a couple of shades darker than Emily's.

"Password?"

"Steve Rogers?"

"No. Password?"

"Bucky Barnes?" The painting swung open and Albus entered the apartment, the painting swung closed behind him once he entered the apartment. Albus half expected Rachel to be in the main room but he couldn't see her anyway in the room. Albus started towards the door of where the bathroom and bedroom was when there was a voice behind him.

"Is this normal for you to come into this apartment?"

Albus turned around when he heard the soft 1940s brooklyn accent, Emily emerged from the shadowy corner of the room. As she emerged the shadows seems disappear, she liked pretty much the same as he last saw her. Blond hair, slightly tanned skin, blue eyes that were a mix of ocean blue and sky blue, but she looked washed out. She didn't look much older than the last time he saw her. She was wearing the same outfit as Rachel was, as Albus looked at her that he noticed a few other things that he hadn't earlier. That she has a silver necklace with a skull on it, wedding rings on her ring finger with two bracelets of where one was green and the other was blue and he could see a little bit of the red poppy. Albus stared at Emily as she looked at him, he wasn't sure of what to say for the question he wanted to ask her was more or less pointless. For Emily already confirmed that she was Rachel Blackthorne.

"You are alive!"

"No shit. You even knew for a little over a year now."

"That was you at the grave?"

"Who else would put red poppies on a grave that has blue eyes?" Albus didn't say anything. He wasn't sure of how to answer that question.

"What happen to you? I saw your memories up till you were adopted by Hades." Emily sighed and put her hands in her pockets.

"That is a long story, Albus. You should sit down and I will start after I was adopted but keep in mind that I can't tell you everything."

Albus sat down in one of the chairs while Emily sat across from him, Emily started her story. Of where she tried to find her brother and her husband but didn't have much better luck than the gods. That for twenty eight years that she was more or less a robot, Emily had to explain what a robot was to Albus when she saw the confused expression on his face. Than she told him about her half brother Phil Coulson and what her life was like till she reached of when she left the Gryffindor Common Room. As Emily spoke that he couldn't help but notice a couple of times that she left something out, he looked at her and she looked back at him.

"There is something that you are not telling me."

"There is, but don't try to look for what I haven't told you. When Hecate blessed me to able to use the magic that normal demigods can use, oppose to a demigod like Arabella, that she used a spell that if there is any information that I need to keep safe and/or that if I had swear on it the river Styx that no one would be able to see that information."

Albus's stared at her and she stared back at her, he tried to do what he did earlier to see if he could watch it so she wouldn't have to say anything. But he also partly did it to see if what Emily told him was true, that information was blocked by Hecate so that he couldn't see it. But he couldn't find anything but than he came across an unexpected memory, he wasn't sure when this memory was. He was unsure of when this memory happened since it clearly take placed in the underworld, for Ariana ran into Emily by accident. For a few minutes as he watched till Ariana took Emily to his parents and his father started telling Emily of what happened to their family. Albus quickly pulled out of her mind at that, Emily shifted uncomfortably when he pulled out of her mind.

"I didn't mean to find that out, Albus. That just happened and when I told them that I knew you and your brother that your parents and Ariana told me of what happen and what lead to their deaths." Emily paused for a few moments. "Before you ask, that memory was long before even Severus was alive, neither Severus or Arabella are aware of your parents or your sister's death or at least the cause of those deaths. I made sure that they wouldn't accidentally find those three if they were ever wandering around there. The only other person I have spoke about it was with my adopted father, Hades. Other than that, I never told anyone."

"Neve?" Emily raised her one of her eyebrows when he said that.

"Albus, have you forgotten that I am not really a witch but use magic like a Demigod ability? Not only that but the ones I had the most contact from this world is Severus, your brother, yourself and now Arabella. I have no reason to tell Severus or Arabella, for it is my story to tell. Since I have no other contact of this world besides those four there was no reason to bring that up."

"Thank you. But what of the things that are block? Does Arabella or Severus know about that?"

"No, Dad and I decided to never tell Severus about it unless if he figures it of which seems unlikely. With Arabella we decided to tell her when she is thirteen, as matter of fact we will tell her everything she hadn't learned or figured out by than. That includes her twin." Albus looked at he shocked, Emily snorted when she saw his expression. "Albus, I am the champion of Hestia, I can sense familial connection between people. I sense her connection with her twin when I first meet her as a newborn. When I meet up with her just now that I could sense the bond is much stronger now it has been. I have to suggest that in Harry's third year that you tell Harry about Arabella." Albus nodded and stood up and went to the portrait that was guarding the apartment but he stopped and looked at Emily.

"Why are those certain memories blocked?" Emily looked at him.

"That knowledge can be dangerous. I will admit that for some into it makes no sense to keep it a secret but in this case, it makes sense."

"Why?"

"It's dangerous?"

"How so?"

"It could bring the end of the world." Albus stared at her. "I wish I was not kidding of that but I am not, I may be overstating it. But if I am, it is not by much. I know you are not part of my world but what I am worried about is the students finding out, for there are more students like Arabella here and a few other schools. If those students found out, it could mean a war, not a house rivalry but an actual war. It could bring about the end of the world as we know it." Albus stared at her, her eyes were heavy with emotion, he could tell that this was a heavy burden on her.

"I won't try to ask of what is that you can't tell me."

"Thank you."

"Good night, Emily.

"Good night, Albus." Albus left though the portrait as Emily said good night.
