Falling Into Oblivion

Takes place after the camping trip where Amaimon attacked the exwires and exorcists, and where all the cram students found out that Rin is the Son of Satan. Assuming that Yukio never knew that Rin was the Son of Satan, a demon, Yukio finds out the truth. All the people that were important to him, distance themselves and shun him. His own brother hates him for being a demon.

28. Chapter 25

I'm back! Sorry for the long break, I promise I'll finish this story and not abandon it... hopefully... lol. Chapter 25

"Rin?"

"Huh? What is it Yukiko?"

"Are you okay?"

"Wha? Why are you suddenly asking me that?"

"Those people back at the temple were saying horrible things to you. And-"

A hand on top of Yukiko's head stopped her mid-sentence.

"Rin?"

Yukiko looked up at Rin to see him looking slightly nostalgic yet a little bit happy even. Rin didn't say anything and just pulled Yukiko in for a hug.

"Thank you."

The two sat like that for a few moments while Bon and his crew had found the head priest injured in the middle of the forest. Bon had discovered the 'secret' that his father had not wanted to pass onto his son, getting Kamiki and Moriyama to get the head priest to some medical attention. Bon, Shima, and Konekomaru headed towards the Impure King in hopes to stop the monster.

"Yukiko. I'm going to need you to stay here with Kuro okay?"

"What?! No! I'm going with you! You can't go by yourself!"

Rin had an uneasy expression, remembering the time when he had lost control of his flames and injuring Yukiko in the process. A sudden hand that gripped tightly to his, brought him back to reality as he saw Yukiko stare right back at him with confidence.

"Don't worry. I know you're going to be there to protect me no matter what, so don't be scared. I believe in you Rin."

Rin smiled, "Thanks Yukiko."

The two raced towards the site where the Impure King was on top of Kuro, meeting up with Bon and the rest of the exwires. Rin got off Kuro, helping Yukiko down.

"Hey Okumura!"

"Hey, can you guys take care of Yukiko for me?"

Rin dropped Yukiko off with Shima and Konekomaru while pulling Bon on top of Kuro, speeding towards the site of the Impure King.

"What just happened?"

Shima and Konekomaru stared at each other in confusion at the events that just passed by them, only to have Yukiko break their state of confusion.

"Well, I'll be in your care."

Rin and Bon quickly arrived at the site of the Impure King which was covered with what seemed to be parts of the Impure King's flesh, emitting miasma into the air. Rin dropped Bon off onto a piece of land which wasn't affected by the Impure King. Rin headed towards the main body of the Impure King lighting his body with blue flames, sword in hand. Bon was saying a mantra which he learned from his father, creating a barrier preventing the miasma from spreading any further.

Well I'm going to end it right here. I hope you guys enjoyed it! It's short but honestly I planned to finish the Kyoto battle in this chapter but all of my work erased! I was so frustrated the internet crashed on me, ughhh all that hard work I put typing it. Well I was gonna try and type it again but I lost motivation. Sorry guys, I promise I'll definitely finish the Kyoto scene in the next chapter so please look forward to that.
