Everybody's POV
As Puck and Sabrina walked through the halls to get their books from their new lockers, (which were right next to each other, courtesy of Granny Relda) they were met with a lot of stares, and Sabrina actually received a few wolf whistles. She shrugged it off, used to the unwanted attention, but Puck clenched his fists at his sides and glared at the boys.
"Why are they whistling like that? Can't they mind their own business?" Puck asked Sabrina.
"Boys just do that to girls. It's normal," she replied impatiently.
"Well I don't like it." Puck glared.
"You don't have to!" Sabrina said, turning slightly red. "Why do you care anyway?"
That was actually what Puck was thinking. Why did he care? It was just a few boys. He got that weird tight feeling in his chest again at the thought of them anywhere near Sabrina. Maybe it was because he was assigned to protect her? Yeah, that's it. She was his assignment. "Because I'm supposed to protect you. Who knows what they could be up to. Nobility is trained to be weary of everything!" he replied to a waiting Sabrina with a wolfish grin.
Sabrina had watched his face go from confused, to unsettled, then to mischievous before he had answered her question. She reveled in how easy it was to read his emotions. A blush crept up her cheeks as she cleared her throat. "Well, you better not do a full background check on any friends I manage to make. I swear you'll regret butting in my business, nobility or not."
Puck answered by sticking out his tongue.
They reached the classroom and Ms. Heart sat Puck behind Sabrina.
It was attendance time. Mrs. Heart started calling out names. "Pan," she barked.
"Here," a cute dirty-blonde haired boy answered. He caught Sabrina looking and winked at her with his blue eyes. Sabrina flushed red and smiled shyly back. Puck growled, looking between the two.
"Grimm," Heart called, raising an eyebrow as she followed Sabrina's voice. "So you're the new Grimm," Heart smirked. "Goodfellow!"
"Here," Puck called, not happy with the look Heart flashed Sabrina. Or with the way Pan kept looking at her.
"May I use the restroom?" Sabrina called out.
"You didn't raise your hand, Ms. Grimm. I'll see you in detention. Now you may go," Heart answered. Sabrina's face turned red before she stormed out, blonde hair whipping behind her.
Puck walked out after her.
"What're you doing, Robin?" Heart asked him.
"Give me a detention, I'm leaving," Puck answered.
"I MOST CERTAINLY WILL GIVE YOU A DETENTION YOUNG MAN. SEE ME AFTER SCHOOL!" Heart called in her annoyingly shrill voice.
"Will do, m'lady," he called back. Puck found Sabrina coming out of the girls bathroom and pinned her in a corner between the lockers and the wall.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU-" puck clamped his hand over her mouth just in time for her to see that Peter had followed them out as well. He hadn't seen them yet, and he went in the opposite direction of their hiding spot against the wall.
"I don't like him," Puck said, breathing heavily.
"Why? He seemed niceā¦" Sabrina trailed off when she saw Puck's expression. He was seething.
She realized their proximity and felt her face warming again. He was a good head taller than her, and his minty-pine scent was drugging, lulling her into a sense of security she hadn't allowed herself to fear since the day her parents disappeared. That day, she became the protector, and she was not going to give in to Puck that easily. She pushed him with both arms.
"Let's get one thing straight. I do NOT need a protector, and definitely not a fairy-boy, to mess with my life. If I want to be friends with other people, including Peter, then I will. Got it?"
Sabrina was visibly getting angrier by the second. Unfortunately, Puck loved seeing her all riled up. He grinned. "Well, I would love for you to make friends, Frog-lips, but I am your best friend, you know, as my cover and all. So anyone you're friends with, I am too. Got it?" Puck answered, echoing her earlier words.
Sabrina sputtered for a minute, bright red. "You INSUFFERABLE fairy-boy! I cannot stand you!" she walked quickly back towards the class, blue converse stomping on the ground.
"Oh, if you think this is bad, pig-nose, then you're going to hate it when I start pranking you." Puck was grinning mischievously.
"You had better not if you-" Sabrina stopped, Puck was already racing ahead of her back to class. She sighed. If she got through foster-care in New York, she could totally handle a stupid boy's childish antics. Right?
A/N So sorry I haven't updated in awhile. I have been quite busy. Keep reviewing though, because that's what made me write this chapter. Hopefully there will be a new one soon, depending on the responses I get to this. Love you all!
