Cal and Gillian groaned when they heard crying coming from the baby monitor. The couple swore they had tended to Sophie not more than 45 minutes ago, but their little girl seemed to have schedule and agenda of her own. The feedings were every two hours, then came the changings, then came the cuddling.

"This is your entire fault," Gillian said to Cal as she stared at the ceiling of their bedroom, trying to motivate herself to go to the nursery.

"Why is my fault?" asked Cal skeptically.

"She takes after her Daddy in being impulsive and not following the rules," Gillian smirked.

Cal knew exactly what his wife was doing. She was trying to guilt him into taking care of the baby at that moment, or at the very least bringing her to Gillian so Gillian wouldn't have to get out of bed. And sadly, Gillian Foster Lightman was the only person who could manipulate him fairly easily. Cal sighed and said, "I'll go get her love."

Gillian smiled innocently and kissed him, "Thank you sweetheart."

Cal trekked down the hall knowing this action would give him brownie points. He walked into the nursery and picked up a screaming Sophie, "It's okay pumpkin, Daddy's here." Cal looked into Sophie's light blue eyes; Emily and Loker had recently taken to calling Sophie Gillian 2.0. He could tell Sophie was hungry so he carried her down the hall to the master bedroom, "I think someone needs something that I don't have," he chuckled to Gillian.

Gillian smiled and took her baby from Cal, unbuttoning her pajama top, "Mommy knew she had to feed you but she also knows she can manipulate Daddy to get out of bed for her," Gillian said to Sophie, who of course was clueless.

"Ha," said Cal stroking Sophie's back, chuckling at the adorable suckling sound his daughter was making, "Emily used to make the same suckling noise."

Gillian smiled and started burping Sophie when she was finished nursing. She handed Sophie to Cal and said, "Go to Daddy while Mommy gets out of bed."

"You sure you got her love?" asked Cal.

"Hey we're both tired we might as well go back and forth," said Gillian cradling Sophie as she walked down the hall to the nursery. Gillian sat down in the rocking chair and rocked Sophie to sleep before putting her back in the crib and joining Cal in their room.

Cal snuggled next to her and kissed her on the forehead, "You're so good with her."

"And for someone who doesn't show any sensitivity to anyone, she's going to have you wrapped around her little finger just like Emily," said Gillian. The couple snuggled together and fell fast asleep, at least until Sophie woke them up again. Gillian's parents and brother would be driving to their house that day to visit their granddaughter/niece after three weeks and then stay through Thanksgiving. Emily would also be flying in that Monday from California for Thanksgiving. Loker and Torres would also be joining them for dinner. And they couldn't wait until their family and friends were all together again.
