A/N Alright. Into the woods now! Get it? We are going to have Sabrina and Puck POV this chapter. Alright let's go to Puck's palace.

Sabrina's POV

I couldn't believe my eyes. Everything was tinted with gold and warmth, like I was wearing the world's best sunglasses. Twinkling lights were strung throughout the room we were in, a huge ballroom with white marble floors and spectacular staircases and strong pillars around the perimeter. It reminded me of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, when they first met at a lavish party in fair Verona. Which makes sense I guess, since he was one mortal who had been to Fey.

Fairies were flitting everywhere, but they weren't small like I had imagined. They were my size, and like Puck, they had wings. Fairy wings can't possibly be described with just colors. I was entranced by Puck's when I first saw them, a soft rose pink, but these were all equally breathtaking. You couldn't call them merely green or blue. They were like jewels growing out of slender shoulder blades, melted and pulled into something magnificent and paper-thin, but still just as sparkling and beautiful as the people they were attached to.

Beautiful. There was no other way to describe these creatures. Models in magazines looked like they had stepped out of their glossy pages, had became more radiant and sparkling, and had grown wings. I had always thought that Puck was handsome, even if it'd be the last thing I ever admit, and he fits in here. Perfect white smiles, sparkly, dewy skin, slightly pointed ears, graceful figures. Even their hair was shiny and perfectly brushed. How unfair. I bet they'd never had a bad hair day in their life. Musical laughter filled the air as people rushed in and out of the room where we were standing. They were all adorned in dresses fit for medieval times, and the fairy men were dressed in khakis and pressed white dress shirts. I suddenly felt completely out of place in my jeans and t-shirt, and I glared at Puck.

"How could you have made me dress 'casual.' You said they hate snobbery! They are literally wearing JEWELS on their CLOTHES," I snapped, jabbing a finger in his face.

Puck caught my finger with one hand, looking devilishly handsome as he smiled.

"Oh, Grimmy-bear. I just couldn't stand the thought of being uncomfortable. Why I did it for you."

I sputtered, hating that his beautiful emerald eyes made me turn red under their gaze. "Puck I swear to God, I didn't bring anything nice and if I'm expected to-"

"Oh please don't worry, Ms. Grimm. We already have a wardrobe prepared for you and a team of handmaidens at your disposal. Might I recommend that you pay your room a visit before the ball with my mother? You will have a chance to freshen up a bit. Not that you don't look lovely in your… New York clothes."

I tuned to find the source of the voice to look into a pair of warm hazel eyes. They belonged to a man wearing gray pressed pants and a dress shirt slightly unbuttoned. He had tan skin and looked sort of familiar, with neat brown hair and no freckles. He seemed nice, but nice in my city could just as quickly turn crazy. And he was talking about a ball. I don't do balls.

"Who are you?" I asked, crossing my arms over my 'New York clothes.'

Puck rolled his eyes. "This is my little brother, Mustardseed."

I tilted my head to the side, studying him. I could see the resemblance, but fortunately he was definitely missing the unhygienic and mischievous genes. Or hiding it well.

"Nice to meet you, Mustardseed. Just call me Sabrina, please. Do you have a nickname, or…"

He chuckled a pleasant sound. "You may call me Mace if you wish."

I smiled. "Mace. You can call me Sabrina. It's nice to meet you. I appreciate the whole handmaiden thing, but-

"The Queen insists. And she would like to see you," he pointed at Puck, "Immediately after escorting Ms. Grimm to her room."

"I am not going to a ball, Mace. And why doesn't he have to change into a suit?" I complained.

Mace gave me a look, raised an eyebrow and all. "The ball is already planned. You're going. And do you think he's ever followed the rules around here?"

I gave Puck's disheveled appearance a sideways look. Of course he never follows the rules. His good looks are wasted on him. Puck stuck his tongue out at me, and I shot him an icy glare, but let Puck push me towards the staircase.

"I will see you later, Ms. Grimm," Mace called out before turning sharply and walking back out through an arched doorway.

"So, Dog-face. Let's go to your room. You'll be in the princess suite since, ya know, there's that pesky contract and all. Can't wait to see you in one of those stuffy dresses," Puck snorted.

I wheeled on him. "No way am I wearing those. I don't care if I change into a nicer outfit, but no medieval stuff with scooping necklines and corsets and all that crap. And no handmaidens!"

Puck scooped me up and his wings popped out. I fought him the whole time until we got inside my room. He put me down and turned me to face the three fairies armed with makeup, hair brushes, etc. Behind them, I spotted an armoire filled with intimidating dresses. No. Nope, not happening. No!

"How do you like the room?" Puck questioned.

It was just as beautiful as the rest of the palace. It was a soft pink with thick cream curtains and a huge bed centered in the room. It had an armoire fit for a Queen and another door leading to what I presumed to be a bathroom. Gold accents were sprinkled throughout on pillows, trimming mirrors and doorknobs, even my handmaidens were dressed in simple pink dresses with gold designs trailing elegantly through the design that melted into the floor.

"Puck, you even think about leaving me here, and you will never live to tell the tale! I swear to God you little-"

"Save your breath. You'll need it in that corset." He winked and sped back down the hall, slamming my new door behind him.

I turned toward the people who had been making my life hell for the past hour. At first I tried to fight the magical brushes and the enchanted nail polish, but soon enough I just drifted off, tired from my trip and not wanting to spend more energy fighting what I now knew was inevitable. They were beautiful people fussing over me and chattering amongst themselves.

"She is pretty, almost Fey-like herself!"

"Can't believe she made Puck fall for her. She must be more conniving than Moth!"

"He's never been in love, and did you see them before he spelled her? She was threatening him! The Crown Prince! Can you believe it?"

"Hush, Elette, she's paying attention to us now! Do you want to be fired? Or worse?"

They all abruptly went silent, looking at me and pausing in their work. I pushed myself to sit up straighter. All three curtsied in unison, asking how my rest was.

"Who are you?" I asked quietly, sad that they compared me to Moth, someone who I knew was a murderer and a horrible person. And they thought I was worse than her! And that I somehow made Puck… I couldn't make that boy do anything, let alone fall in love with me.

"We are your handmaidens, Ms. Grimm. Don't you remember? I know you drifted off, but… Would you like a glass of water, tea, or anything to eat?"

I nodded yes when I felt my stomach growl. "Please, water and food sounds great. And I know that your, um, handmaidens, I just meant your names, a little about yourself. I would've asked earlier, but I drifted off a bit, like you said"

They looked surprised, but the small one with the curly red hair that matched her fiery wings stepped forward. "I am Elette, Ms. Grimm. I take care of your outfits. We can decide what you are going to wear when you meet the Queen after I get you some water." She flitted off quickly, even though I was going to tell her I didn't need help.

I turned to the remaining two. One had waist long black hair and tilted eyes the color of black coffee. The other had chin length, light brown hair that matched her eyes. Her sparkly skin was the color of cinnamon.

The black haired one stepped forward. Her wings were a deep purple. "I am Galanna. I take care of hair and skin. Your hair is beautiful. Long and like spun gold. Most humans do not look like they fit in here. You could almost be a fairy if you were done up right."

She pinched some of my hair between her fingers. I almost jerked away, but her fingers were so nimble and quick they were gone just as fast. "Doing your hair was fun."

I wanted to see what it looked like, but they had spelled the mirror to fog when I tried to peek so I could only see the 'final look.'

"I am Aerin. I will teach you everything you need to know about our land. Where you come from… it's crude, uncivilized. The trickery they have created to imitate magic is absurd, childlike compared to the real thing. I have studied in both worlds. I am one of the few fairies that have left our realm. If you have any questions, come to me. I will be by your side most of the time, Ms. Grimm."

She spoke quickly and clearly, and I felt like I was supposed to be taking notes or something. "You can call me Sabrina," I said quickly. I didn't know what to do, so I just fingered the hem of my shirt and prayed they didn't think I was a slob for my outfit choice. Why did I trust Puck again?

Elette came back with A tray full of fruit and different pastries and a cool glass of water, which I gulped down gratefully.

The first bite of a chocolate pastry-thing sent my mind into overdrive. "Please, you all have to try some of this!"

They looked at each other, and Galanna spoke first.

"Ms. Grimm, it's not really our place…" she protested.

"Well, I'm in charge, right?"

They nodded slowly.

"And I say you have got to try some of this! Please, I feel weird eating all of this while you are just standing there. You are doing me a huge favor."

Aerin smiled. "If you insist."

Soon they were all trying just as much of the food as I was, and they were starting to loosen up.

"So you know, Sabrina, this ball is kind of like a trial run-through to see if you and Puck make a good couple. That's why everyone important is coming," Elette said with a smile. "Isn't it all so exciting! We haven't had a love match in ages. Since the Prince's great grandparents, actually." She sighed dreamily. "Alvera and Warren. They were just so cute."

I tilted my head. "What about Titania and Oberon. They were in love, right?"

Aerin sighed. "Love grows from matches, sometimes, but they fought a lot and went years without speaking. They were like an unhappy couple that was unable to get a divorce. That's what humans call it when they want to split up after being married, right?"

I nodded, feeling bad for Puck. He was forced to grow up in an icy, loveless home. I couldn't imagine it. My parents were so in love, that I would catch that magical look between the two of them, sometimes. That moment when their eyes met and they smiled, and I knew what love looked like.

"So, now it's time to pick the outfit!"

I groaned, and Elette jumped gleefully. They all undressed me until I was in my bra and underwear. Both were plain white, not exactly what one would imagine a princess would wear. Aerin shoved a soft lace bra and matching underwear at me and they all turned around while I put it on. I dressed quickly, and when I was done it felt like I wasn't wearing anything at all.

Galanna smiled when I told them to turn back. "I'm sorry, Ms. Grimm. I know you didn't want to wear a corset, but…"

My eyes widened. "No. I won't."

Aerin clicked her tongue. "Yes, you will. When you see the Queen, who is already upset that Moth is no longer going to be her daughter-in-law, you want to make sure that she is not disappointed with her new one."

I sputtered. "But I'm not going to be her daughter-in-law! Puck and I are not getting married! I'm fifteen for God's sake!"

Elette smiled, showing her beautiful white teeth. "But you will soon be sixteen. One more month, correct? Then you will most likely be married to Puck and spend your time at the castle and see your family on holidays."

I shook my head. "No, I'm not moving here. I have to finish high school, help Daphne with stuff. I can't go right now. And I am not marrying Puck!"

The three fairies looked between each other. Aerin finally was the one to speak. "Well, you have a lot of convincing to do. You want to look good for that, don't you? Better chance of getting your way."

I sighed, seeing she was right. There was no way I was moving to the palace and marrying Puck. The Queen had to see that, so I had to show her I am not a child. I can make my own decisions. If wearing a corset helps do that for me, then that is what I will do.

They laced me up tightly into the cream colored contraption that I'm sure was meant to be a toure device. Then, they pulled out a stunning gown in a robin's egg blue with delicate threads of a brilliant blue that matched my eyes woven intricately into the elegant cloth. It was stunning, and little bits of sapphire were scattered throughout, gathering more closely towards the bottom so that the entire dress looked like the sparkled melded into the floor.

"Wow." I couldn't voice anything else.

The three of them smiled. "We are glad you like it." They helped me into it, then unfogged the mirrors and stepped out, saying they would notify Puck I was ready to be escorted to dinner and the ball that would follow for Puck's homecoming and to introduce me, his girlfriend. I didn't really process this, though some warning bells did go through my mind. I was a little distracted by the creature that faced me in the now clear mirrors.

I couldn't believe it was me, but when I moved, she moved, so it must be. She was beautiful. I was beautiful. My hair was soft to the touch and tumbled down my back in gold spirals by the dozens. Some was pulled out of my face with sparkling silver clips encrusted with sapphires. Blue eyes framed with my lashes, only thicker, faced me in the mirror. My cheeks were pleasingly flushed and my lips were painted a soft pink. I looked like I belonged in this magical palace from another time with Queens and power and here I was... A graceful, beautiful fairy. The only thing I was missing was wings.

Puck's POV

I strolled down the hallway to get Sabrina. Earlier my mother had all but bullied me into taking a shower and wearing a suit and escorting Sabrina to a ball I don't even want. Mother always knew how to get me to do exactly what she wanted. That's why I would leave in the first place, and break all the rules I could. It was suffocating, still is. I hate this place, even if it is beautiful. When I rule…

I sighed, and realized I had reached Sabrina's door. This was so embarrassing. A ball? Sabrina was going to kill me. And I was wearing a suit, freshly showered too. A disgrace! I rapped on the door with my knuckles and ran a hand through my damp curls. And that's when she opened the door.

"Brina…" I had no words. My mouth dropped open and making fun of her outfit was now out of the question. She was breathtaking.

Her eyes were bluer than ever and her lips slightly parted to reveal her perfect teeth. Her hair fell thickly to almost her waist in golden curls, and some was pulled up to show her face better. And her dress… Well, let's say I can assure her that her father would not approve. It hugged her curves like a second skin and melded to her slender form like water, sparkling with every movement she made. I saw her breath quicken when I called her Brina, and it made me smile.

"Hey, Puck. You… look nice. Clean," she commented carefully, a playful smile to accompany the teasing.

"Well, you look amazing. A true fairy. How does the corset feel?" I couldn't be totally nice. I am the Trickster King, after all.

She pouted, her eyelashes fluttering and eyes imploring. God, if she knew what she was doing with her baby blues…

"Maybe I can change into jeans… Please?"

I laughed and offered my arm. "Oh, so now you're ok with my little joke that made you bring your jeans. No way, Grimm. We have a ball to attend, and most of the people you meet barely know what jeans are, let alone think they are an acceptable clothing option."

She took my arm, her soft skin brushing against my hand and the contact of her arm in mine sent tingles up my arm through my suit coat. Maybe she spelled me. Grimms do have access to magic, after all.

"Puck, I can't dance. Like, at all. I can't go to a ball!" She exclaimed, gripping my arm tighter.

"Don't worry, Grimmy-bear. I have had decades of practice, enough for the both of us. You'll be fine." I smirked as she sent me a glare. Even with the new look courtesy of magic and handmaidens, she was still Sabrina. And she was just as beautiful in jeans and a t-shirt like the first day I met her. What is she doing to me? I can't have these weak thoughts! I am Puck, the Trickster King!

"Puck, if I remember right, the ballroom is that way."

I smiled down at Sabrina. "Oh darling, we are the Crown Prince and Princess. We enter from the top of the staircase through these doors. Ready?"

Sabrina's eyes widened, and I laughed. "Puck, no. I am not entering like that! And Princess? No one has called me Princess here, so that's a lie."

My smile tightened. "Well, that's because the new contract hasn't solidified. My mother has to meet you first. So let's go meet her."

Sabrina went white and I turned her to face the doors. "That's what you get for making me allegedly fall in love."

The familiar fire danced in her eyes. "I didn't make you do anything! And-"

"Sorry, no time to talk, Grimm. We have to go."

The doors magically opened and the entire ballroom filled with gowns and suits and wings stopped. The soft music ceased and all eyes turned to us.

"Puck?" Sabrina asked carefully.

"Yeah?"

"This is going to be bad. Really bad if you expect me to dance like them because they are all dancing in midair, and I can't do that."

A/N Hope you liked it! Actually kind of hard to write! Anyways, sorry for the wait, but I had finals and such. Expect an update soon. Review please! Like one person told me in a review recently, it really makes my day, even if you don't realize how much a few words can mean. Love you all!
