A/N OMG you guys crack me up! Love you all and I hope you continue reading! This is kind of my big story, with an ongoing plot, so I might go back and forth between this and a new one I'm starting that's a lot like this but no Moth/ Queen stuff. It's a more fluffy piece. And yes, Simmy, I guess I'm calling it Fey since the Fey are very powerful, very old magical beings. They have their own little world outside of the usual fairy tales in Ferryport. Alright, love you guys and continue to review please! They honestly make my day and make me update sooo much faster… motivation and stuff. Alright, let's get on with the story.
Sabrina looked out the window overlooking the Palace Gardens, a frown marring her features. She could barely believe that school was tomorrow. And Granny Relda was making her go. She glared at her suitcase, now fully packed, as if it was the brown leather bag's fault she hadn't done her homework yet.
A knock sounded on the door, and Aerin sprung up to answer it. Expecting Puck, Sabrina straightened out her navy skirt that fell just short of her knees, and the cozy white turtleneck that was tight enough to show off her chest. She reminded herself that she did not care what Puck thought, and turned to see the person who had knocked on the door.
"Hello, Ms. Grimm. I am Charlotte, your tutor. I'll be meeting you in one week at your house in Fairyport Landing to begin lessons, but I thought it would be wise to meet beforehand as well."
Sabrina's eyes widened as she took in the prim looking fairy before her. Like the others, she was undeniably gorgeous. Her shiny brown hair fell straight as rain to stop at her small waist, and her lithe form was clad in a sweeping pale pink gown with white lace accenting her small chest. She was adorable, and her eyes were exotic looking, amber-gold in color and slightly uptilted. She reminded Sabrina of a porcelain doll.
"Well, it's nice to meet you, Charlotte," Sabrina replied, a little relieved that her tutor wasn't a guy. She already lived with one obnoxious fairy boy, she didn't think she could handle seeing two on a weekly basis.
"I know you are leaving soon, I just wanted to go over a few of the main topics we will be studying. Oh, and lessons will be taking place on Sundays."
Sabrina nodded, and Charlotte continued with a deep breath.
"You need to know the history of Fey, and the layout of the land. I also need to go over all the noble families with you, as well as what your duties would be as Queen. You should be able to recognize everyone you met at the ball, know their names, their families, and their titles. Also, as an Everafter now awarded with the title of Betrothed Princess of Fey, you will need to have a bodyguard nearby at all times. That will be, much to the Queen's dismay, Puck, because he threw a fit." She wrinkled her delicate noise in distaste, and Sabrina just shrugged, used to Puck's tantrums. "And when you need more than one bodyguard, Aaron will help. Mac- The Prince will also be visiting once a week, for Sunday dinner, to make sure that everything is going well and you are safe."
Sabrina pursed her lips. "I thought Puck was the Prince, why will he need to come to dinner every Sunday if he's living with us anyway?"
Charlotte blanched. "There is more work to be done than I feared. Oh, and only five hundred years! Well, Mace is the Prince, and Puck is the Crowned Prince, as he was born first and is first in line to become king."
Sabrina giggled at Charlotte's serious and worried expression. "Charlotte, it'll be ok. I'm sure you are more than capable of teaching me this in five hundred years. You'll stay for dinner on Sundays, right?"
The little fairy wrung her hands and tucked her glossy hair behind one ear.
"If you wish. Thank you, Princess," Charlotte said with a curtsy. Her small smile of excitement did not go unnoticed though, and Sabrina made a mental not to discern what, exactly, was so exciting about Sunday dinner.
"Call me Sabrina, please," Sabrina said with a smile. Charlotte nodded and curtsied to excuse herself.
Sabrina shook her head with a grin on her face. She knew she and Charlotte would be good friends. She just had to get her to try some new stuff- and out of that ballgown and into some jeans! Maybe she wouldn't be the only one with Sunday lessons…
Another knock on the door sounded, and Sabrina went to answer this time, yelling "Charlotte, I promise I haven't forgotten how to curtsy or something already-" Sabrina stopped abruptly as she opened the door. It wasn't Charlotte, it was Puck, smelling like pine and dressed in a white shirt that emphasized his tan and khaki pants rolled up at the bottom. He looked nice, and Sabrina was almost too distracted to notice his eyes trailing over the tight shirt and the skirt's hem.
"Puck, eyes up here? Are we leaving or what?" Sabrina said secretly kind of happy he was interested in how she looked and kicking herself for letting one glance from him make her wish they were closer.
"I just, uh, didn't want to look at your stupid eyes," Puck turned red, not making any sense. Sabrina raised an eyebrow. "Shut up, Grimm. Yes, we're going. Don't let your ugly hit you on the way out," Puck said, trying to recover. He could not be caught looking at Sabrina, or she might think he actually liked her… and her pretty, sky blue eyes, and long, golden hair. She was pretty. But he didn't like her.
"As long as you don't let your stupidity follow us home," Sabrina shot back. She knew how to handle this. This was normal, and normal was good. The only not normal thing was Puck's outfit choice and hygiene, but she was expecting a full return, with the green hoodie, once they were a safe distance from his mother.
Puck and Sabrina walked down the hall towards the tree that they came in through, bantering back and forth as their suitcases drifted behind them. Puck's hands were shoved in his pockets, and Sabrina's were animatedly expressing her words and angry comebacks to Puck's easy taunts. Titania watched them from a castle window as Puck tickled Sabrina and Sabrina stomped on his foot in return, both teens laughing and Sabrina's face going red every so often.
Pushing her honeyed hair behind her ears, Titania smiled. It seemed her son would marry for love after all, and maybe that wasn't so bad…
Sabrina had been pushed through the tree first, but she had managed to grab Puck's hand as she went, laughing at his enraged expression as they tumbled through the portal and onto the grass that was blanketing the ground around the tree in Central Park. Puck landed on top of her with and oomph.
"Get off me, you big baby!" Sabrina cried, pushing at Puck's immovable shoulders. The late afternoon sunlight drifted through the trees, bathing the two in golden warmth.
"Make me, Snot Face," Puck shot back, trying to get his bearings. Sabrina's legs were wrapped around Puck's waist, and he had one hand entangled in her blonde locks, the other wrapped tightly around her waist.
Sabrina froze, and slowly untangled her legs from the fairy. Puck's bright green eyes were mischievous, smiling into her blue ones. She bit her bottom lip, and Puck sucked in a breath.
Their noses were almost touching, but before they could say anything, a male voice called out Sabrina's name.
"Sabrina? Is that you?" A tall boy with black hair and eyes so blue they were almost purple came into view.
"Cole?" Sabrina asked in wonder.
"Yeah, it's me! Long time no sees, Queenie," Cole answered with a laugh. Puck shot to his feet and pulled Sabrina up with him.
"I am Puck, Trickster King. Who are you?" Puck said, eying the boy curiously.
"Trickster King, nice! Fitting too, if you're going to be friends with the Queen of Sneaks."
Puck looked over at Sabrina. "She's definitely not Queen material, bro. And we are not friends! I am her-"
Sabrina interrupted. "Step-brother! I found my grandmother and she took me and Daph in. He was already there, she adopted him a while back," she explained quickly.
Cole nodded. "Cool. I'm glad you found some family, Sabrina. I really like my adoptive family. They're great, and I have a little sister now, too. She's three."
Sabrina smiled. "I'd love to meet her!"
Cole punched her in the arm, playfully, and Puck wrapped his arm around Sabrina's waist, pulling her closer to his side. Sabrina was going to complain, but he smelled so good, and his body was warm and she was shivering despite the warm day, so she didn't pull away. Excuses, excuses, she told herself.
"Maybe you two want to babysit her one day? We are looking for new sitters. The parents are all worried because they want it to be someone they know."
Sabrina bit her lip in thought. "I don't know…"
Cole rolled his eyes. "Girl, don't you start this. You were the best with the little kids at the foster home, and you take great care of Daphne! I know you love the little ones, and…" Cole pulled out his phone. "Look at her, her name's Rosie."
Sabrina's heart melted at the little two year old covered in chocolate something, big brown eyes sparkling mischievously with her blonde curls in lopsided pigtails.
"Awwww, is she wearing coveralls? She's a little trickster isn't she?" Sabrina and Cole looked over at Puck in surprise.
He quickly straightened up, noticing his mistake, and crossed his arms. "What? I like minions, and she has promise. Look at that mess! That's some good work right there."
Sabrina smiled at Puck, his tousled hair and bright green eyes making him look just as cute as the girl in the picture. She was definitely using this against him later.
"Well, it was nice seeing you, Sabrina. I'll text you if we need a sitter sometime," Charlie said with a crooked smile.
Sabrina straightened up and gave him a quick hug, saying she'd like that.
Puck didn't know what was going on, but he didn't like seeing this weird Cole person touch Bri-Grimm like that. I mean, she was supposed to marry him someday. She couldn't do that if she was in love with Cole."Alright you two, we are going now. Bye, Cole," Puck said, spitting out his name petulantly.
Cole was already gone, whistling with hands in his jeans, leaving the two Everafters behind.
"Grimm, who was that?" Puck demanded as soon as he had left.
Sabrina quirked an eyebrow and answered with a smirk. "Cole."
Puck narrowed his eyes, a wolfish grin on his face. He forced her chin up so that her eyes had to look into his. She was a good head shorter than him. "Don't make me tickle it out of you Grimmy-bear."
Sabrina's face flushed. "Like you would dare, you stupid fairy."
Puck's eyes sparkled as he slid his hands tightly around Sabrina's waist, sliding them a little lower.
"Puck, don't you dare move your hands any lower," Sabrina said, using her most threatening voice. His hands made little goosebumps pop up all over her arms, and she shivered involuntarily.
"Puck lifted her up by her waist and swung her around until she was on his back, like a piggy-back ride.
"Better hold on, Grimm." With that, he shot into the sky, right through a puffy cloud that had Sabrina laughing in delight. She had to tighten her legs around his waist and wrap her arms around his shoulders, but it was worth it. The sun was still out, but fading into muted light that turned to clouds around them into spun gold. The sky was a gorgeous blue, one that matched Sabrina's eyes, Puck thought, then shook his head. He was here for a purpose.
"Who's Cole, Grimm," Puck asked again.
"My first crush," Sabrina breathed back, causing Puck to almost drop out of the sky.
"Wow, Grimm, you've really learned from your mistakes, since I'm as good as they come," Puck said, trying to play off the fact that he wanted to murder this Cole right now.
"Mm, well, I'm sure he would agree. You're more his type than I am, after all," Sabrina shot back.
This time, Puck did drop out of the sky, but only for a second before he regained his balance. "Well, good, cuz then he won't want you," Puck stuttered out under his breath, mind still reeling.
Sabrina laughed, thankfully not hearing Puck. "Yes, my first crush turned out to play for the other team, but he was the best friend I had in the foster system when me and Daph were there. We're still pretty close."
Puck wrinkled his brow in thought. "Then you've known him a long time. So when are we gonna babysit the little one?"
Sabrina laughed. "Someone's eager, aren't you? Are you a softie, Puck Goodfellow?"
Puck blanched, dramatically upset. "Me? Soft? I should drop you right now for that level of insult!"
Sabrina smiled, settling back into Puck. "But you won't."
Puck wrapped his arms tighter around her, reveling in how soft her skin was, and how fresh and girly she smelled. And the fact that he liked it. "Not this time."
Sabrina bit her lip. "Just like I thought. Softie."
The rest of their flight back was pretty much bickering and Sabrina screaming and falling every once in awhile while the sun's setting color painted the city in a myriad of colors. No one seemed to notice the odd pair of teens flying above the city back to a town where magic and madness ruled.
A/N Sorry it took so long! Actually took a while to finish. I'm trying to get up the courage to start a Dramione fanfic. Anyone want to comment on other story ideas for me, feel free! Love you guys 3
