Aria got up from the couch and started pacing back and forth, nervously, muttering under her breath, "Oh my god, oh my god... no, no, no... this can't be happening."

Wren got up and stopped her, grabbed her shoulders and said, "Aria, please calm down."

Aria got out of his grip and practically screamed, "Calm down!? How can I calm down? My boyfriend is in jail, because of me. He's going to find out I made out with another man while he was in jail, for me. He is never going to forgive me. As far as he knows, I cheated on him, with you of all people!"

Wren felt and looked slightly offended and replied, "Hey!"

Aria sighed and said, "I didn't mean it like that. It's just that you're his business rival and trust me, he does not like you."

Wren frowned and replied, "That does not make me feel any better, but I am well aware of that... But so what, right? I mean, we did nothing wrong, nothing really happened. We made out to get out of the bar, to stop you from getting possibly murdered. Seeing as Ezra is currently in jail to protect you, i'm pretty sure he'll understand why we did what we did."

Aria shrugged and said, "Maybe... But how am I going to explain you coming up with me and staying the night?"

Wren asked her, "Well... Why did you invite me up?"

Aria looked down as she replied, "I don't know."

Wren tilted up Aria's chin with his fingers so he could look into her eyes and said, "Yes, you do."

Aria felt that same intense energy between them as before, so she asked him, "Are you going to kiss me?"

Wren smirked and shook his head as he replied, "No."

Aria didn't like how she felt slightly disappointed by his answer.

Wren took back his hand and said, "I left my clothes upstairs by the pool. I'll go get them and get out of your hair."

Aria nodded and replied, "That's okay, no rush. Feel free to take a shower and get dressed in the bathroom. Come on, I'll show you where it is."

Wren smiled and said, "That's okay, I know where it is."

Aria frowned as she felt confused.

Wren noticed this, so he continued, "I used to live here."

Aria was taken aback by his answer and asked, "With Ezra? Like roommates?"

Wren chuckled and replied, "No, not like roommates. I used to live here, alone. I used to rent this place back when I started out. Then I poached one of Ezra's clients, so he bought the entire building and had me evicted."

Shock was written all over Aria's face as she apologized, "I'm so sorry."

Wren shrugged and said, "That's okay, it's just an apartment... Besides, my place is way cooler than this." Then Wren winked at Aria and left to go get his clothes.

Aria stood there, completely perplexed. She never would have thought Ezra could do something like that. Maybe she didn't know him that well after all.

Ezra was laying on his bed in his cell, completely bored out of his mind. At least he didn't have to worry about the other inmates, being a billionaire had it's perks. He had a cell to his own and had his meals brought to him in there. He could go outside once a day, once the other inmates went back to their cells. He had a tv in his room, he had books, but he didn't feel like doing anything right now. The only thing that got him through it all was thinking about Aria.

The fact that she wasn't doing well, was killing him. He wanted to reach out to her, he wanted to see her, he wanted to talk to her. But he couldn't and it was all Wilden's fault.

After Ezra had threatened Wilden in the interrogation room, Wilden had left the room and released Aria. When he came back, however, he could see in Wilden's eyes that he was out for revenge.

Wilden had told him that he would arrest Ezra and help him on one condition: He were not to contact Aria in any way. If he did contact her, he would have Aria arrested immediately and have her thrown into jail. Ezra agreed reluctantly.

Ezra was also worried about sending Aria the flowers with the note. If Wilden found out... He hit himself over the head, he shouldn't have been so impulsive, but when he found out she wasn't doing well, he needed her to know he was still thinking of her.

His train of thought was interrupted as he heard one of the guards open up the cell and say, "Mr. Fitz, your lawyer is here to see you."

Ezra got up and followed the guard, thinking it was weird his lawyer would visit him 2 days in a row. Had something happened to Aria, had Wilden arrested her over the flowers?

When Wren got out of the bathroom, he heard sobbing sounds down the hallway. He walked down, looked into Ezra's office, but saw nothing but trampled pink peonies on the floor. He walked further down the hallway, towards the bedroom, as the sobbing sounds grew stronger.

Aria was sitting on the floor, her back against the bed, clutching a pillow, as she was sobbing into it.

Wren tried to lighten the mood by saying, "Not a fan of pink peonies, huh?" But it was a swing and a miss, as Aria only started crying harder.

He went to sit next to her and put his arm around her, as he asked, "What happened?"

Aria sniffeled as she replied, "I tried calling his lawyer, you know, to explain what had happened, in case Ezra's private investigator called him. But he wasn't at the office, his assistant told me he was visiting one of his clients in jail. I bet he's telling Ezra everything right now."

Wren tried to comfort her by saying, "You don't know that. Ezra is most likely not his only client in jail."

Aria disregarded Wren's comment and just continued, "I bet he immediately made his way over to the prison the moment he heard it. When he talked to me on the phone yesterday, I could tell he didn't like me. I bet he hates me and he couldn't wait to tell Ezra."

Wren rolled his eyes and said, "He doesn't hate you, he doesn't even know you."

Aria turned to face Wren and replied, "Just this morning you told me you disliked me before you got to know me."

Wren had an uncomfortable look on his face as he admitted, "Okay, true... But he's a lawyer, he doesn't get to have feelings or opinions on anything or anyone in Ezra's life."

Aria hopefully asked, "You think so?"

Wren nodded and replied, "I know so. Besides, you're not really giving Ezra much credit here. I mean, trust him."

Aria nodded and said, "You're right. I'm sorry. I shouldn't bother you with this."

Wren gave Aria a squeeze and replied, "It's okay, I don't mind. I've grown quite fond of you, in this amazingly short amount of time we've spent together."

Aria smiled as she rested her head on Wren's shoulder and jokingly said, "Well, it really couldn't have been helped, i'm just really adorable. Not to mention, I'm just THAT great of a kisser."

Wren laughed and said, "Okay, I think I've managed to cheer you up. I need to go now, I have a meeting in like an hour, but I will check up on you later, okay?" Then Wren handed his phone to Aria and continued, "Add you number, please."

Aria took the phone, added her number and gave it back to Wren. As Wren got up from the floor, she said, "I wanted to add my number under "that hottie from last night", but that name was already in there a few times, so..."

Wren chuckled and said, "No, I would never call you hot... More like beautiful."

Aria laughed and replied, "Smooth, real smooth."

Wren smirked, said, "And on that note, I am out. Talk to you later", and then left.

Ezra walked into the room where his lawyer was sitting and went to sit across from him. Ezra got more worried as he noticed the look on his lawyer's face.

As soon as the guard left the room, Mr. Martin said, "I was contacted by three of your private investigators, one last night, one in the middle of the night and one this morning."

Ezra felt bad for the man, but immediately asked, slighty panicked, "It's Aria, isn't it? The flowers I sent her? Did Wilden arrest her?"

Mr. Martin shook his head and replied, "No, I made sure the flowers that were sent couldn't be traced back to you."

Ezra let out of a sigh of relief as he heard that.

Then Mr. Martin continued, "No, Aria seems to be doing fine, VERY actually... I have good news and bad news. I usually lead with the bad news first, but in this case I think it might be best that I tell you the good news first, so you have something to hold onto when you hear the bad."

Ezra frowned and said, "You have me slightly worried, so please continue."

Mr. Martin scraped his throath and then replied, "The good news is, the first private investigator that contacted me has informed me that he overheard a conversation between the possible suspects and has determined who killed Matt. He will continue his investigation into this person, to find further proof."

Ezra nodded and said, "Good. And the bad news?"

Mr. Martin sighed and replied, "He also overheard that the leader of their group wasn't happy that there are still loose ends... He basically ordered Aria's murder."

Ezra shot up in a panicked furry and tried not to raise his voice as he said, "What!? How could this happen? I am in here to protect her and now you're saying she isn't safe out there either? There's a private investigator on Aria, right? Hasn't he mentioned anything? I mean, you just said she seems fine, so I'm assuming the flowers helped and she finally went outside? Though maybe that might not be such a good idea right now..."

Mr. Martin looked a bit uncomfortable as he replied, "That's the second layer of the bad news... And before I tell you, I think I need to give you some advice as your lawyer. I think you should recant your confession and tell the judge you lied to protect the woman you loved, that you made an error in judgement."

Ezra started frowning, so Mr. Martin continued, "The second private investigator that contacted me, in the middle of the night, was Aria's... Apparently she left the apartment last night and took a cab to a club called Nine Circles of Hell. She left about 15-20 minutes later and walked right into the bar where the first private investigator was present and also the men who want her dead."

As Mr. Martin got to this part, Ezra's eyes widened and he asked, "Did they see her?"

Mr. Martin replied, "Yes and no. They noticed her, because she was dressed pretty... provocatively, but they didn't seem to suspect it was her."

Ezra nodded and said, "Okay, good. Was that it?"

Mr. Martin shook his head and replied, "Not really. Both private investigators confirmed Aria was with a man. I honestly don't know how to tell you this, so I will just have to show you."

Mr. Martin got a picture out of the manila folder in front of him and slid it towards Ezra.

Ezra's face fell as he saw a picture of Aria, entangled in a kiss, her legs around a man's waist, outside the bar. Anger surfaced inside him immediately as he identified this man as Wren Kingston.

Ezra turned his head to the left, avoiding all eyecontact as he slid the picture back towards Mr. Martin and asked, "So the third private investigator?"

Mr. Martin replied, "Mr. Kingston's, sir. After this they went back to the apartment. Before I left the office, neither of them had left yet."

Ezra nodded and said, "Okay. Just keep me posted on updates regarding Matt's killer.

Mr. Martin looked confused and asked, "Sir? What do you want me to do about Aria? Do you want me to contact the district attorney? You have to do something."

Ezra got up and replied, "Just do as you are told."

Mr. Martin stood there in disbelief and said, "But sir...You can't just do nothing, she was obviously just using you!"

Ezra turned towards the door, said, "I don't pay you to have an opinion", and then left the room.

After Wren had left, Aria had gotten up, ate breakfast, took a shower and she was now pacing back and forth in front of the phone.

She had called back 2 times already and she had clearly started to annoy Mr. Martin's assistant, because she promised Mr. Martin would call back the second he got back to the office.

Five minutes later the phone rang and Aria picked it up immediately, "Hello, Mr. Martin?"

The person on the other side of the phone replied with, "Yes, Miss Montgomery? I hear you've tried contacting me several times. How can I be of service?"

Aria instantly started rambling about last night, "Last night I went to a bar, this older bar not too far from Nine Circles of Hell, I don't know if you know where it is, but I was there. Those shady guys who had been dealing with Matt were there and I overheard them. They admitted to killing him, that's got to help Ezra, right?"

Mr. Martin scraped his throath and replied, "We were already aware of that information, Miss Montgomery. I am not at liberty to discuss this any further with you."

Aria felt herself getting choked up as she asked, "What does that mean? Was his private investigator there? It wasn't what it looked like, okay, I need you to tell him that."

Mr. Martin replied abruptly, "I was told not to bring up the matter anymore. There's nothing I can do for you. Have a nice day", and then hung up.

Aria stood there, perplexed, what did he mean by that? Was that Ezra's way of saying it was over between them? She made her way over to the bedroom, crawled into bed and cried herself to sleep.

Aria was woken up from her nap when she heard the doorbell ring. She got out of bed to open the door.

The moment she opened the door, she saw Wren standing there with a worried look on his face and stated, "You look like crap."

Aria pursed her lips and replied with, "Thanks for that."

Wren walked past her, inside the apartement, and then said, "You know, if someone tries calling you and texting you, the polite thing to do is reply."

Aria closed the door, rubbed her eyes, still sleepy, and replied, "I'm sorry, I was asleep. I didn't have my phone with me."

Wren shrugged and said, "Well, I was worried, so I cancelled the rest of my day and came over here."

Aria rolled her eyes as she pointed out, "You didn't have to do that."

Wren put his hand on Aria's shoulder and replied, "But I wanted to. So i'm here now, what do you want to do, because this whole crying yourself to sleep obviously isn't working for you."

Aria shrugged and said, "I don't know. Let's just go anywhere but here."

Wren nodded and replied, "Got it! Okay, let's go pack!"

Aria looked confused and asked, "Wait, what?"

Wren smirked and replied, "Just an overnight bag, i'm not taking you to the Bahamas or something. And no, when I say overnight bag I am not implying we'll be having crazy amazing sex. I just thought that maybe you needed a break from this apartment so I thought you could spend tonight or a few days at my place."

Aria raised an eyebrow, said, "Sorry I asked", and then headed towards the bedroom to pack her bag.

When they arrived at Wren's place, Wren pulled up the driveway of his house and parked the car.

Aria got out of the car and as she looked up and down, she said, "So, you live in a house... Well, mansion."

Wren smirked and replied, "Yeah, I don't really like to live in an apartement anymore. I don't really want to share with other people."

Aria nodded and said, "How reclusive of you."

Wren chuckled and replied, "It's not like that, I'm a very social person. I just don't want to listen to my upstair's neighbor giving a party, or listen to my nextdoor neighbor's sexcapades, you know? Not to mention the communal elevator, ugh."

Aria giggled and said, "Okay, sorry i mentioned it."

When Aria walked inside the mansion, she was blown away with how great it looked. Lots of glass and white marble, beautiful chandeliers.

"You weren't kidding when you said your place was way cooler", Aria said jokingly.

Wren put down Aria's bag, took her by the hand and said, "And you haven't even seen the coolest part yet."

Wren dragged Aria through the house towards the back, which made her jokingly ask him, "You aren't taking me to see your sex dungeon, are you?"

Wren let out a loud laugh and jokingly replied, "No, not now, maybe later."

When they were at the back of the house, Wren opened the terrace door and they opened up to his backyard, which looked like a tropical oasis. There were palm trees everywhere, surrounding a giant pool with a waterfall. Aria gasped at the sight and said, "Wow, it's beautiful!"

Wren grinned and replied, "I know. Come on, l'll show you to your room, you can get changed in there and then we can go for a swim."

Aria came downstairs in her black with tropical flowers bikini and walked outside.

Wren was already there in his swimshorts and had put out a table with some fingerfood and a pitcher of a very colorful drink.

Wren grinned as he noticed Aria's bikini and said, "I see you got the memo about our theme of the day."

Aria giggled and replied, "I figured you'd like it. So what is all this?"

Wren looked very animated as he explained what kinds of food was on the table and then he said, "And this is a pitcher of blue hawaii, it might not be as mean as your margarita, but it suits the theme more, so."

Now it was Aria's turn to grin as she replied, "Has anyone ever told you you're a special kind of crazy?"

Wren poured Aria a glass and handed it to her as he said with a wink, "You know you like it."

Aria took the drink from Wren's hand, eyebrow raised at his comment and replied teasingly, "Maybe..."

Wren grinned, picked up his glass and the pitcher of blue hawaii and said, "Come on, follow me, let's get into the jacuzzi."

They walked over to the jacuzzi, which was shrouded in a waterfall. Aria put down her glass and commented, "Wow, this is absolutely beautiful", as she got in. Wren put down the pitcher beside the jacuzzi and got in himself, saying with a wink, "Yeah, it's not so bad."

Aria's whole body relaxed due to the perfectly temperatured water and the soothing sound of the waterfall. She closed her eyes and let out a slight moan of contentment.

Aria opened her eyes as she heard Wren chuckle. She turned to him with an amused look on her face as she asked, "What is it?"

Wren smirked and replied, "Nothing, it's just nice to hear you're enjoying yourself."

Aria smiled and admitted, "I am. Thanks."

Wren took a sip from his drink and asked, "So... How did you and Ezra meet? Was it at the club?"

Aria shook her head and replied, "No... not really. We met AGAIN at the club, well, I was passing by the club as he arrived. The first time we met was actually at one of the events I was working at. I was serving drinks and at a certain point we had to stand off to the side because there was this big speech coming. So this guy standing next to me says he hates these events, so I agree with him... by implying that men who need to throw themselves these big fancy parties are just compensating for having a small penis..."

Aria let out a giggle as she continued, "Then the same guy walks up onto the stage and starts giving his speech, because it was his party... it was Ezra."

Wren laughed and said, "Well, he must have loved that!"

Aria started laughing too, though a certain melancholic ache stirred up in her heart at the memory. She answered, "He kept glancing over my way, smirking. I can't even imagine what my face must have looked like, probably utter horror thinking I was going to get fired for insulting our client."

Wren smiled and asked, "Do you still work as a waitress?"

Aria shook her head, "No, I was only doing it once in a while to earn some extra cash. I haven't done much lately... since meeting Ezra."

Wren looked a bit disappointed as Aria said that, which made her feel even worse about that, so she tried to change the subject, "So, what about you?"

Wren raised an eyebrow and asked teasingly, "What about me?"

Aria shrugged innocently and replied, "I don't know... what are some of your interests?"

Wren leaned into Aria, like he was going to kiss her. He looked deep into her eyes as he asked in a whisper, "Are you sure you want to know that?"
