Move Along
Chapter 009
Kagome was bored. Kuze still had not given her an answer about the American Football team and Thursday was mostly over. She wasn't worrying yet though; Shippo had been surprisingly lenient and had given her an extension.
Deciding to have some fun, she decided to stroll down to the Host Club.
All eyes were on her when she opened the doors. Smiling politely, she headed over to Kyoya.
"Higurashi-san, what can I do for you," he politely if coldly asked.
"I'd like to request the service of one of you hosts," she boldly stated. The whole room went eerily quiet. Even Kyoya was shocked for a moment and let it show.
Quickly composing himself, he cleared his throat and asked, "And who would you like to request?"
"Fujioka Haruhi."
Tamaki's loud, "what" and "over my dead body", reverberated through the room.
Kagome and Kyoya ignored all this.
"Very well then."
Nodding her head, Kagome calmly strode over to Haruhi's area. She could practically feel the twins and Tamaki's heated glare on the back of her head.
"Kagome-kun, you didn't have to do that," Haruhi said once Kagome had joined her at her table.
"It's not a problem, especially if it helps towards your debt," Kagome fondly stated as she took a seat besides the female host and next to one of Haruhi's clients.
"Oh let me introduce you. Sitting next to you is Kurakano Momoka and Sakurazuka Kimiko," Haruhi said, pointing to each of the girls who had remained oddly silent. "And this is Higurashi Kagome."
Kimiko and Momoka giggled. "We already know who Higurashi-kun is. We used to go to all his games. We miss watching you play."
Kagome quirked an eyebrow at that. She hadn't realized anybody had gone to specifically see her. Smiling winsomely, she spoke, "Thank you ladies. And I'm sorry for interrupting your time with, Haruhi, here."
"I-it's no problem. We're glad you could join us." Kimiko blushed as she looked between the two in awe at their closeness, especially that he had quite boldly used Haruhi's name with no honorific.
Chuckling, Kagome threw an arm around Haruhi's shoulders. Faintly she could hear several cries of outrage. "Haruhi's been such a good friend since I got kicked off the team."
"We heard what happened, and it's just so unfair. I've tried appealing the decision on your behalf, but it's your word against his," Momoka passionately stated.
"It's alright, Kurakano, I've accepted it," Kagome casually stated though Haruhi couldn't help but catch something in the second year's tone that made her think otherwise.
