Move Along

Chapter 012

"Huh, what happened to everyone," Kagome asked Honey and Mori as she helped the two cousins clean up. All the girls had finally left, leaving Kagome to finally notice that the four other hosts were gone and that Haruhi had never returned from her task.

"I don't know, maybe we should go look for them, Takashi, Kago-chan," Honey innocently replied.

Kagome resisted the urge to just sweep him off his feet and cuddle with the adorable third year. Instead she replied with a cool, "Sure."

Mori nodded his head in agreement and together the three set off to look around the school. Honey purposely led the trio in the opposite direction he knew Tamaki and the others had headed.

Kagome looked around, slightly confused and spoke, "Are you sure we're going the right way?"

"Absolutely," Honey beamed as Mori grunted in agreement.

Noticing he did not quite believe them, Honey quickly changed the subject, "That was pretty cool, what you did the other day in the kendo club."

"What was," Kagome distractedly asked, still unsure about the route they were headed.

Honey said, "You know, when you caught the bamboo sword from hitting that girl."

Kagome shrugged. "I guess, it was mainly just reflexes."

"Hnn," Mori hummed, impressed.

"We've seen your tennis and baseball games and you're really awesome. Is there anything you're not good at," Honey asked, still attempting to distract the second year.

"Math," she automatically said in a deadpanned tone.

Honey remained unaffected and eagerly pounced onto Kagome's shoulders. If it weren't for so many similar attacks from Shippo, she was sure she would have toppled over.

"Takashi's really great at math. He could tutor you."

"Ok," Kagome unsurely stated. "I really should be looking for Haruhi, and I still don't think we're headed in the right direction."

"You know what, you may be right, Kago-chan," Honey suddenly spoke. "I'll go check out the other direction while you two continue this way."

Before Kagome had a chance to protest, the blond third year was gone.

"Is he always that hyper," Kagome inquired as she scratched her head in confusion, earning an amused grunt in return.
