If there was something Kyoya disliked, it was coming up short and being out maneuvered which was the case with one Higurashi Kagome. Not only did he not have an adequate amount of information on the other second year, but he had also been forced to give into his demands way too quickly for his liking.
Resting his chin on his clasped hands, he gazed irately at the computer screen. Several of his searches had yielded the same results. Higurashi had attended a total of three high schools in the last two years. He had flunked out of his first one, and been kicked out of the last two for fighting. Upon closer look, the fights were usually not his fault, but his loner status at each school was his downfall. Though there was an interesting gap between his last school and Ouran. For a month he had not been enrolled in school at all, and so Kyoya stored that tidbit of info away for future uses.
According to his public records, he had a younger brother who was in elementary, an ailing grandfather, and a single mother, who all lived at a local shrine. Interestingly enough, he lived with a friend of the family who was one of the biggest mangaka in Japan. Said artist, was the heir to a huge electronic company, and was also his benefactor, Yokomizo Shippo.
There was no information about how Higurashi had met Yokomizo. But he did have some information on the manga artist. The biggest red flag though was his apparent relationship with Taisho Sesshomaru, which may have explained why it was so hard to garner information on the boy. Of that he was sure. No one else held the technology to deter the Ootori's power.
But why would they bother with a nobody like Higurashi Kagome.
