Move Along
Chapter 021
"Uhh, do I have to wear this," Kagome complained as she glared at the clothing hanging before her.
"Yes," Kyoya briskly replied from outside her changing room.
Sighing, she reluctantly began to change into the traditional, male kimono that had been laid out for her. The inner layer was a soft brown, while the top layer was a deep, forest green. She tied it together with a scarlet obi, and laid a crisp white robe over it. Satisfied that she had gotten all the parts right, she let her braid hang over her shoulder.
She scowled angrily when she caught site of her reflection in the mirror. It unsettled her how the colors matched her middle school uniform, it was as if Ootori knew.
"Are you coming out soon or do you need help?"
Kagome rolled her eyes and promptly pulled the curtain aside. "I know how to put on a kimono."
Kyoyo smirked. "I figured as much with your shrine background."
"You've been digging through my file," Kagome stated through clenched teeth, giving the host a harsh look.
"Of course, had to make sure you were fit for the club after all," he calmly stated, unfazed by her anger.
"Find anything interesting," she asked, trying to gauge just how much he knew.
"Depends on your definition of interesting," he shot back.
Growling, Kagome grabbed the host by the collar of his kimono and brought him closer to her. "Don't mess with me Ootori. Stay out of my files or else."
"Or else what, you'll get your friends Taisho and Yokomizo involved," he coolly shot back, anticipating her response.
Kagome's eyes narrowed before she suddenly smiled, throwing off Kyoka as she let him go. "Nope. You'll learn firsthand how I got kicked out of my other schools."
"You're bluffing," he stated.
"Are you brave enough to find out," she taunted.
Kyoya glared at her, not liking how the tables had turned. He would have to keep a closer eye on her.
