Move Along
Chapter 027
Mori took the offense and aimed a high kick, which Kagome swiftly dodged by jumping back just out of his reach. And for the most part, she stuck with the defensive. She expertly blocked his fists and dodged his kicks. Sango's teachings had mostly focused on her deflecting and being patient.
And once she saw the opening she was looking for, Kagome decided to switch gears and took the offense. She raced forward and leapt. Wrapping her thighs around Mori's neck. She used her momentum to flip him, effectively brining him down while she landed on her feet.
"CUT!"
Kagome offered Mori a hand up which he graciously took.
"Good match," he grunted. But before Kagome could reply Honey jumped on her back. The move startled the former time traveler and she nearly toppled over.
"That was so cool Kago-chan," the blond excitedly praised.
The twins reluctantly agreed, impressed by her strength.
Haruhi approached the others, eyes wide. She had seen Kagome beat up the baseball players, but that was impressive. Mori was twice his size. "Where did you learn to fight like that?"
Sheepishly, Kagome turned away from the others as she ran a hand through her bangs. Looking up, she wistfully replied, "A friend taught me. She was the strongest person I've ever known."
Hikaru and Kaoru started to rudely snicker at her admission. "A girl taught you to fight."
Kagome stiffened and gave the twins a cold look that would have made Sesshomaru proud. The duo instantly paled as Kagome harshly spoke, "That girl could have swept the floor with both of you in a heartbeat."
And for the second time, Kagome stormed away from the Host Club.
Haruhi voiced Kyoya's thoughts aloud. "Did any of you guys notice how he referred to his friend in the past tense?"
