Move Along
Chapter 028
Haruhi regretted not going after Kagome, especially after the scene Renge had caused with some of their classmates. But she was stuck until club hours were officially over as Kyoya liked to remind her.
Not that, that excuse helped her feel any better.
She was worried about the upperclassmen. The way he had stormed off, the twin's words had affected him more so than usual and she wanted to know why.
Sighing, she slowly made her way to the bus stop. And was surprised to see the boy she had just been thinking about, slouching carelessly on the bench. "Kagome-kun."
He lazily looked up at hearing his name. "Oh, hey Haruhi. Sorry about storming off like that, again," he sheepishly replied with a sad smile.
Haruhi quickly shook her head as she took a spot besides him. "No, I'm sorry about what happened."
He looked genuinely confused and asked, "For what? I'm the one who shouldn't have taken the twin's bait."
Haruhi desperately wanted to ask more about the girl who had apparently trained her friend. But she didn't want to upset him anymore so instead she asked, "Why are you at the bus stop? Where's your bike?"
"A friend is giving it a tune up. I'm actually headed over there now to pick it up," he answered with a shrug. "I could start giving you rides on a daily basis if you'd like."
"I don't want to be a bother."
"You'd never be a bother Haruhi. You're the first friend I've had in a while," he embarrassingly admitted with an honest smile.
