Move Along
Chapter 031
Kagome snickered at Haruhi's rather blunt words towards the twins. That was one of the things she truly liked about the younger girl's personality. She wasn't afraid to tell you the truth, no matter how rude it may have sounded.
Her and her guest watched on in amusement as Tamaki then started to angrily rave on about the club website.
"Oh, Kagome-kun, you simply looked amazing," one of her clients complimented, the other girls agreeing.
Kagome raised an eyebrow in confusion at that. She had no clue what they were talking about. Before she could reply her attention was stolen by an unexpected guest.
Nekozawa stood at his own special doorway, advertising for the Black Magic Club.
"You won't end up cursed," she refuted Tamaki's statement, but went mostly unheard. The club president continued on with his overdramatic tale.
"Oh, Higurashi-kun. I didn't realize you joined the Host Club," Nekozawa commented, finally noticing the second year student. Kagome nodded her head in greeting as she lazily strode over to the older student. She ignored the crazy nonsense Tamiki was spewing about curses, and his attempts to grab her away from the third year.
"Nekozawa-senpai, haven't seen you in a while," she replied.
"Kanazuki and Beelzenef miss your presence," he said, showing off his puppet cat. Kagome smiled fondly at the two, missing her client's sudden screams in joy. "I miss you guys too. Haven't really had much time to stop by lately."
"Kagome-kun, we didn't know you had such interests," one of the girls spoke.
She shrugged her shoulders and answered, "I grew up on a shrine. The supernatural is nothing new to me."
"So brave," they cried.
"Eh, not really," she sheepishly replied, not understanding why they were making such a big deal about it.
"You should let us visit sometime," Kaoru asked. Kagome only shrugged her shoulders and muttered a careless whatever.
"You'd be able to protect me from curses then, right Kagome," Tamaki cried, latching onto her arm.
"Yeah, I'll make you a protective charm," she replied, just to get him off of her. She quickly pried herself free. And as she turned back to Nekozawa, she watched just as Hikaru and Kaoru scared off the other boy with a flashlight.
Kagome rolled her eyes and knocked the twins head's together in punishment.
"Stop being such brats," she scolded with a glare before following after Nekozawa.
"Oww," Hikaru and Kaoru complained, rubbing their sore head. Haruhi snorted and said, "Serves you right."
