Move Along

Chapter 037

The kid, Takaoji Shiro, was a major brat. And it made Kagome glad that her own brother didn't act like that. Though she did think the cage was overkill. Where did they even get a cage? Better yet why would they have one?

"You just as confused as I am," Haruhi asked, staring incredulously at the trapped grade schooler. Kagome nodded her head. "Maybe it's better that we just don't question it."

Haruhi silently agreed. Looking up at the second year, she was glad to see he was in a better mood.

"And now the group is complete with the addition of Haruhi and Kagome. The natural and rebel type," Kyoya finished his explanation.

Kagome furrowed her brow in confusion. She didn't think she was very rebellious, and figured the athletic type would have made more sense. Though she wasn't playing any sports anymore, maybe he had a point. Her bike was against school rules.

Renge's sudden appearance startled both Haruhi and Kagome. Wasn't this supposed to be a music room?

"I swear, this place gets crazier every day," Kagome mumbled under her breath. Mori and Haruhi heard and the later snickered at the comment.

"You're in a brighter mood, Kagome-kun," Haruhi commented. Kagome shrugged, not denying her claims.

Mori looked between the two, curious as to what was going on.

"So, what do you do at that medical facility we went to yesterday," she asked.

Kagome threaded her fingers behind her head as she answered, "I guess you could say I'm an intern. I'm helping the head of research fuse herbology and modern medicine."

"Oh wow," Haruhi stated, clearly impressed. Mori hummed in agreement. "That's impressive."

"Eh, it's no big deal," she denied, blushing at the complement.
