Move Along

Chapter 039

"You know, I've never seen Kagome-senpai so lively," Kaoru commented as the group walked back to the music room.

Haruhi agreed and said, "I'm just glad he's in a better mood."

"What do you mean, Haru-chan," Honey asked from her perch on top of Mori's shoulders.

"Well yesterday we stopped at some medical facility," Haruhi began, pausing for a moment. She wasn't sure if she should be telling the club his business. But after some prodding from the twins, she reluctantly continued. "And he didn't really seem to get along with the boss there."

"Really, who was he working for," Tamaki inquired.

The first year tapped her chin thoughtfully as she tried to remember what Kagome had said. "Someone named, Taisho Sesshomaru, I think. He was pretty intimidating."

All six boys suddenly stopped and stared in disbelief at the only girl in the group.

"You seriously met Taisho Sesshomaru," the twins exclaimed, grabbing onto Haruhi's arms.

"How does a guy like Higurashi know him," Hikaru rudely asked. Haruhi shrugged and replied, "He didn't say. But they were pretty casual around one another, if a little rude."

"Interesting," Kyoya said more to himself than to the others.

"What's so special about this Taisho anyway," Haruhi asked.

Hikaru and Kaoru answered together, "Taisho Sesshomaru is a major powerhouse."

"He has stock in just about everything there is out there," Tamaki added on.

"And nobody really knows a thing about him," Honey said, Mori nodding his head in agreement.

Kyoya pulled out his black book and went into greater detail. "From what I've gathered. His major dealings are in medical, real estate, and electronics. He's married to fashion designer, Taisho Kagura."

"She's a major rival of our mother," Hikaru interrupted.

Kyoya continued on and said, "He has three sons. Two are already working for him and the third is at school overseas."

"I wonder how Kagome-kun knows him," Haruhi mused, echoing the question on everybody's mind.

When they really thought about it, they knew almost nothing about him. Just the generic information Kyoya had dug up.

"You know, Kago-chan has become a lot more open since you started hanging out with him," Honey spoke up. And the other instantly agreed.

"I remember when he transferred in last year," Tamaki slowly stated, his tone uncharacteristically subdued. "He's always been a nice guy, though everyone was scared of him. Not that he cared. He preferred it when everyone kept their distance."

Haruhi looked confused at that. "Scared?"

"Well yeah. He did get kicked out of his last three schools," Hikaru and Kaoru stated. Haruhi tapped her chin in thought. "Strange, he told me four."

The only one who heard her though was Kyoya.

"But Kagome-kun isn't like that. He's really nice," Haruhi defended the absent host.

Tamaki nodded his head in agreement. "I know that. That's why I had asked him to be a host in the first place."
