Move Along
Chapter 051
Kagome stared impassively at the row of swimsuits that were currently filling up the Music Room. She was tempted to turn right back around, she had better things to do with her time if they weren't going to be entertaining today. But she'd be lying if she said she wasn't a tad bit curious. And it was a nice distraction, helping her to forget her argument with Shippo.
Honey and the twins were showing off a couple of swimsuits to a bored Haruhi. She debated about helping the other girl, but instead turned to the Shadow King and asked, "So, what exactly is going on?"
He didn't look up from his clipboard (and at this point, she hadn't expected him to) and said, "We're going to the beach in Okinawa this weekend."
"Oh," she said, not really sure what she was expecting. (Maybe something a little more extravagant.) "Well, count me out then."
There was no way she was going to the beach with the Host Club. Her little secret had only lasted so long because she was careful.
"Oh no," Kyoya replied, smiling smugly at her. She really hated that grin. "You are going as well. I've already cleared it with your keeper, Yokomizo-san."
Kagome glared at him, inwardly vowing to have a long chat with the traitor. "Why are you talking to him?"
"He's merely…concerned about your schooling," he thoughtfully replied, as he recalled his earlier conversation with the mangaka.
She rolled her eyes and said, "What did you tell him?"
"You can relax, I did not tell him anything about the Host Club," Kyoya reassured her. "But why don't you want him to know?"
Kagome looked at him like he was crazy. "You've met him. He's practically the adult version of Suoh."
Kyoya blinked and momentarily paused his writing. He could sympathize on that aspect.
