Move Along
Chapter 053
The two girls ended up going shellfish hunting.
Honey was just too cute to say no to, and Kagome could never seem to turn the upperclassman down when he asked her something. And Haruhi was ecstatic over the prospect of a big feast for dinner.
Kagome found herself smiling fondly at the younger girl. It was rare to see her so carefree. She had even cracked a small chuckle over Tamaki's lame pun as he held up a rather large crab for Haruhi's inspection.
But as the large centipede crawled out, she couldn't help but flinch. And Kagome was majorly impressed when she saw Haruhi unflinchingly toss the bug away like it was nothing. Even after so much time in the Feudal Era, she hated bugs.
"Are you okay, Kago-chan," Honey asked as Mori grunted. The two cousins had seen her reaction to the creepy crawler and were rather surprised by it. She always seemed so tough, as if nothing fazed her.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine." She tried to appease their worry, though they didn't quite buy it. Luckily, they were distracted by the twins coming up with the worse game ever, in her opinion. The 'Who Can Find Out Haruhi's Weakness Game'. Kagome was sorely tempted to hit the two.
"And I have a prize for the game's lucky winner," Kyoya spoke up before she could make up her mind about hitting the twins. He held up three photos of Haruhi in middle school.
She added him to the hit list.
"We wanna play too!" Honey laughed.
Kyoya held the pictures just out of Tamaki's grasp and said, "I guess we're all competing."
"Yeah, I'm not playing." Kagome announced, arms crossed as she looked disapprovingly at the boys.
"What, scared you'll lose," Hikaru taunted, sticking his tongue out at her.
Rolling her eyes, she replied, "This game is stupid." She was about to add that she already knew what scared Haruhi, but that was none of their business. If Haruhi wanted them to know, she would tell the fools herself.
