Chapter 054
"Need some help with the shellfish," Kagome offered, as she joined Haruhi by the shoreline. She had, had enough of watching the boys attempt to scare her. While Honey and Mori's attempts were rather amusing, it was getting rather boring. She doubted any of them would be able to figure it out.
"That's alright, I'm just about done here. Dinner's going to be great," Haruhi said, showing off her bucket full of crabs.
"Look up here, Haruhi, Kagome-sempai." Both hosts looked up to see Haruhi's usual clients on the tallest rock.
"It's dangerous. Be careful." Haruhi warned. Kagome was about to wander off again to see what Kyoya had planned for their stupid game, when she heard screaming.
Haruhi turned to her senpai and grabbed her sleeve. "Did you hear that?"
"Yeah, go get help. I'll go see what's going on," Kagome replied, racing up the rock. Spotting a couple of locals bothering the girls, she forcibly grabbed one of the jerks by his collar and threw him off one of the girls.
"This is a private beach," Kagome angrily spoke, as she glared at the two men. The one in a vest released the girls to help his friend up before turning to glare at her.
"What's a girly guy like you going to do to stop us," he taunted as the two took a menacing step towards her. Kagome wasn't intimidated though and was prepared to take them on when a bucket of shellfish went crashing into the two guys.
She was surprised to see Haruhi but didn't have time to react when one of the guys tackled her. Kagome was faster though, and easily side stepped him. Looking up, she watched as the other guy threw Haruhi over the ledge."
She quickly dove after her.
