Rex jumped over the devestated wall and crouched next to Commander Cody. Cody fired at a droid, the bullet knocking its head off and dropped down behind his cover. He glanced at his helmeted comrade. The purple jaig marks that graced the forehead, kind of looked like cat ears, but Cody wasn't suicidal enough to say that aloud. "Rex, what are you doing? Aren't you posted over a bit farther?" The cauldron that hung on Rex's shoulder rose and fell as he shrugged. "We were getting over run. Needed to fall back and so we did." Cody glanced around and saw that the 501st was mingled in with the 212th. He sighed and stood to fire again. Rex popped up besides him and together they took out several droids before crouching for cover. Rex reloaded his pistol and said in a conversational tone. "General Skywalker has a padawan. A young Torgunta girl, about 13 or 14." Cody shakes his head. "Is he fit to teach? Sometimes I have to wonder if he should be leading you? Anyways, where is he? The shield generators weren't that far" Rex chuckled and stood to destroy a few more droids. Crouching again, he looked at Cody. Staring into each others visors, Cody could almost see Rex's face. He was amused about something. Rex spoke and Cody knew he was right, for his words held a trace of amusement. "She is a sassy one. He's calling her Snips as a nickname." Cody shook his head and stood to fire. Two droids down and his energy pack was empty. Sitting to reload his rifle, he paused when Rex continued. "She didn't really appreciate that, so she gave him a nickname of her own." Cody frowned and looked at Rex. There had to be a catch to this. Rex fires for a bit and crouched down. Whispering, he isn't able to hold back his laughter. "She called him Skyguy."
