Lee released an inelegant yawn as he entered the dark kitchen. He took a glass from the cupboard and filled it with water from the tap before taking a sip. His eyes took in the sea, the Moonlight dazzling its surface. He paused his drinking for a moment as he suddenly noticed something break the surface, but it quickly disappeared.
"I wonder," he murmured.
He finished his drink, took one more glance at the sea, and then headed back to bed.
The next morning…
Lee was suddenly awoken by a commotion outside his room. He decided to skip his beauty morning routine and see what was going on. He exited his room with his palm covering his entire face as he entered the living room. Peeking through his fingers, he saw the whole family had gathered. Their eyes immediately fell on him.
"Don't look at me," he said, his voice muffled by his palm. "You have robbed me of my beauty sleep and so I am not at my best."
"Wow," Asuka shook her head. "You're more of a woman than I am!"
"Yeah," Lars agreed.
"Anyway, what are you all gathered in here for?" He asked.
"Do you know what the hell that is?" Kazuya asked, his finger pointing to the glass door.
Lee looked out at the beach. Sticking out in the middle of the beautiful blue ocean was something big and furry.
"Kuma?" Lee asked.
"Rarrghhhrrrdumbass (I'm standing right beside you)!"
"Oh, sorry," he smiled, sheepishly. He suddenly gasped, which made everyone jump. "I know what that is!"
"What? What is it?" Kazuya asked, frustration in his voice.
"That is The Black Beast," he said, smiling evilly beneath his hand. "The Scourge of the Sea, The Eater of Roses…"
"The what?" Asuka said, her face scrunched up in confusion.
"Do you remember the first night you were here?" He asked. "I told you of a beast that haunted the beach and devoured everyone it came across."
"Are you serious?" Asuka said. "I thought you made that up!"
"So did I," Lee shrugged.
"What should we do?" Asked Xiaoyu, who was cowering behind Jin.
"Let's take it out!" Kazuya grinned, slamming his fist into his palm.
Despite Xiaoyu's protests, Kazuya exited the villa and dashed onto the beach. The rest quickly followed.
"Alright you black, furry freak," he said, still grinning. "I've been itching for a fight!"
Kazuya launched into the air. His foot outstretched, he soared towards the creature. His heel connected with his target with a loud crack. As he landed back onto the sand, a great roar rocked the beach. The creature stirred, as did the sea surrounding it. Its full form finally emerged.
The group gasped. Their eyes glanced from its dark fur, to its large shimmering fangs, and finally to the familiar looking snakes on the left side of its body.
"Isn't that…?" Heihachi uttered.
"Ogre!" Jin spat, his face strewn with anger. "You killed my mother!"
"What?" Jun said. "No, he didn't."
"Oh… yeah," he coughed. "Well, he tried to."
"WHAT THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT FOR?" Ogre spoke to the surprise of everyone.
"It can talk!" Asuka gasped.
"What's going on here?" Asked a random jogger that was passing by.
"WELL, I WAS JUST HAVING A RELAXING SOAK WHEN THIS DOUCHE JUST DECIDED TO KICK ME IN THE HEAD!" Ogre explained.
"Why would you attack this innocent creature?" The jogger asked as he ran on the spot.
"Innocent creature?" Asuka spat. "He's got snakes for an arm!"
"So it was several innocent creatures you attacked!" He shot back.
"WELL, I'M NOT EXACTLY INNOCENT," Ogre argued, scratching the back of his head. "I HAVE KILLED SEVERAL PEOPLE. I MEAN… TRIED TO KILL SEVERAL PEOPLE. I'M, UH, NOT VERY GOOD AT IT."
Jun glared at him.
"HOW'S BAEK DOING THESE DAYS?" He asked, sheepishly. "AND THERE WAS THAT GUY IN THE JAGUAR MASK… HE'S STILL DEAD, RIGHT?"
"No, he's still alive," Xiaoyu responded.
"That's King II," Jin corrected her. "His son."
"ALRIGHT, SO HE'S STILL DEAD. GOOD, GOOD," he nodded, satisfied, before pointing his snakes at Kuma. "DIDN'T I KILL YOUR DAD?"
"Warrhhgh (no, he died of old age)!" Kuma wept.
"SORRY, I SHOULDN'T HAVE BROUGHT IT UP," he apologized.
"I still think you're innocent!" The jogger repeated.
"ARGH, I'LL SHOW YOU HOW INNOCENT I AM!"
Suddenly, fire spouted forth from Ogre's mouth, engulfing the jogger.
"Oh, God, I'm burning alive!" He screamed as he still jogged on the spot.
Ogre then coiled his snake arm around the innocent bystander and tossed him backwards into the sea. He emerged moments later, his lower half devoured by a shark.
"Oh, God, it's eating me alive!" He screamed again. "I still think you're innocent, though!"
"ENOUGH!" Ogre roared at the group. "I'M GOING TO RUIN YOUR VACATION!"
"Hah!" Kazuya guffawed, his arms crossed. "The joke's on you. It's already been ruined several times!"
Ogre suddenly soared into the air, his massive wings spread. Kazuya responded by transforming into his devil form before flying after him. The once peaceful blue sky was now filled with laser beams and fire.
"What the heck are we looking at?" Asuka asked as she stared up at ridiculous scene before her.
"Should we just go and leave them at it?" Asked a bored looking Jin.
"We should at least try to help," Jun said.
"Fine," Jin responded before transforming into his own devil form.
So now even more laser beams streaked across the sky, but the fight didn't seem to be any closer to ending.
"They need to work on their aim," Xiaoyu said.
"I'll help," Lars said.
As Lars couldn't transform into a devil, he attempted to help in his own way. He executed a spinning, twisting, turning, revolving, coiling, somersaulting flying kick. Unfortunately, he completely missed and, instead, flew past their heads and plopped into the ocean.
"Uh," Asuka uttered, her mouth gaping, "that was pointless."
"I would help but I'm all out of roses," Lee pouted as he turned out his pockets, rose petals falling to the ground.
"What's that got to do with anything?" Asuka asked, her head beginning to throb from the stupidity.
"What about you, Heihachi?" Jun said.
When there was no reply, she tore her eyes away from the fight above to look for the old man. She was shocked to see him, along with Kuma, casually sunbathing. The Sun was beaming down on his shiny, bald head and she had to shield her eyes from the glare.
"Huh?" He responded as he slid his sunglasses down his nose to look at Jun.
"You do know there's a ferocious battle happening above your heads?" Jun asked, perplexed.
"Ah, I hadn't noticed," he grinned, pushing his glasses back up his nose. "Unfortunately, I don't have laser eyes."
"It's not like having laser eyes is helping those two," she said, looking back at the two devils she called family.
"Hmph," Heihachi grunted as he got to his feet. "Let's show them how it's done, Kuma!"
"Yaawwwrgh (too sleepy)," Kuma groaned, his own shades barely fitting around his head.
"Panda!" Xiaoyu gasped, abruptly.
Everybody turned to see Panda suspended in mid-air, her foot clasped in Ogre's right claw.
"LOOK," he growled, his eyes fixed on Panda, "KUMA IS SO FRIGHTENED OF ME HE HAS TURNED WHITE! HAHAHA!"
"That's not Kuma, you dope!" Xiaoyu shouted, her fists clenched.
Kuma leapt to his feet immediately.
"Rrrraaaarooorgh (I will save you, Panda!)," he roared louder than even Ogre ever could.
"Ready, Kuma?" Heihachi asked, slamming his fist into his palm.
Kuma nodded before racing off towards the shoreline.
"Just a new move we've been working on," he said when he saw Jun's confused expression.
Kazuya and Jin finally landed back on Earth having failed to defeat Ogre.
Heihachi strolled up to them, clasped their heads in his hands, and then smashed them together.
"Amateurs," he said as they collapsed to the floor.
With the athleticism of someone half his age, he launched into the air, delivering a hard uppercut to Ogre's stomach. The creature roared in pain as he released Panda from his grip. Heihachi then clasped its foot in his hand and tossed him towards the waiting bear.
Kuma quickly dunked his paw into the sea. A moment later, he extracted a rather tiny looking fish. He tossed it back, seemingly unsatisfied with it, before sinking his paw back. As Ogre's form got closer and closer, Kuma pulled something from the ocean that was much larger than a fish. It was a shark; the same shark that had devoured the jogger earlier. In fact, the jogger's top-half was still hanging out of the shark's mouth.
"It hurts so much," the jogger wept.
Kuma looked at his catch and shrugged. He gripped the shark's tail in his paws and stood as if he was holding a baseball bat. Once Ogre was in range, he swung with all of his might. The shark connected with the furry creature and was sent soaring into the sky, along with the jogger.
"Well, that was the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen," Jun sighed. "And that's saying something."
"The great beast haunting the beach has been slain!" Lee said, happily. "Since we're already at the beach, let's all celebrate and put on our swimsuits! Ladies first!"
"Ew, we're related," Asuka gagged.
"Not by blood," he replied with a thumbs up.
Asuka and Jun collectively gave him a disgusted look.
"How about you, Ling? We're not related at all!"
Xiaoyu's face mirrored Asuka's and Jun's.
"Forget I said anything," he sighed, clearly disappointed.
"Are you sure you weren't the beast haunting the beach?" Kazuya grinned.
The family returned to the villa, making sure to keep an extra close eye on Lee.
Later that night…
Something had washed ashore.
It was Lars, completely soaked, seaweed caught in his hair, and with a mouthful of salt water.
