Heihachi shivered in his futon, a sudden blast of cold air wafting over him. He turned onto his side and attempted to drop back off to sleep.
"Heihachi…"
"Hm?" He grunted.
"Heihachi…"
"What do you want, Kuma?" He grunted again, half-asleep.
"Wake up, dammit!"
Wait a minute, Heihachi thought, Kuma can't talk!
He suddenly bolted upright and darted his sore eyes around the dark room. He made out a misty looking figure in the corner that began to move towards him.
"Ooooo!"
"It can't be," he said as the unknown figure finally entered the Moonlight streaming through the window. "Kazumi!?"
"My dear, Heihachi," she whispered, her voice an echo, "you forgot to invite me on this family vacation."
"But… you're dead," he said, baffled.
"That's no excuse!" She shouted, her brow furrowing.
Heihachi pulled the covers up to his mouth and shuddered. She was always scary when she was angry, but being a ghost only magnified her scariness.
"And now, I will haunt you all for the rest of your vacation," Kazumi smiled.
They both shifted their vision to the other side of the room at the sudden sound of someone snoring.
"Snnnnrrrgh (Panda…)," Kuma grumbled as he tossed and turned.
"Why are you sleeping with a bear?" Kazumi asked as her eyes locked onto his again. "Let me guess: you taught it how to fight?"
He remained silent.
"What is it with you and teaching animals to fight?" Kazumi sighed. "Remember when you tried to teach my pet tiger martial arts?"
Heihachi coughed nervously.
"Anyway, I shall take my leave."
Kazumi glided towards the bedroom door before disappearing through it.
"And don't bother trying to leave," she said. "I have sealed the door with my ghostly powers!" She laughed hysterically as she quietly turned the key in the lock. She then attempted to swallow it, but as she was a ghost, it simply fell through her and hit the floor. "Strange how I can hold the key but not swallow it. Being a ghost is so inconsistent."
She retrieved the key before gliding over to the door beside Heihachi's. Not knowing who the occupant of this room was, she turned invisible, like ghosts can do, and disappeared through it.
The strong stench of roses shot up her nose. Not surprising considering the room was covered in them. A lone futon was plopped in the middle of the room, someone snoozing within. She didn't recognise the silver haired man, but considering what he was snuggling up to, she didn't want to know him. It was a small doll dressed as a schoolgirl. Kazumi picked it up with her forefinger and thumb, her nose curled in disgust.
"S-Sakura!" Lee suddenly spoke, his eyes wide in shock. "Y-you're alive!"
He couldn't believe it; his doll was floating in mid-air! Sakura had come to life to full fill his fantasies!
Kazumi, noticing the creepy look in the man's eyes, quickly tossed the doll to the corner of the room. He responded by leaping after her. Kazumi quickly left the room, making sure to lock the door. Not only had the whole doll thing creeped her out, but apparently he also liked to sleep naked.
"Who the hell was that?" She said with a shudder. She again attempted to swallow the key, but again, it fell right through her.
The next room seemed to be the women's.
Kazumi found herself shuddering again, this time at the look on the small girl's expression on the right side of the room. She had a huge smile on her blushing face, her tongue lolling from her mouth.
"J-Jin," she groaned.
Apparently, she was having a dirty dream about a man named Jin.
Lying beside her was a Panda. Another animal Heihachi had attempted to teach martial arts? Kazumi rolled her eyes.
"Jin…"
Kazumi turned her head at the girl to her left who also seemed to be dreaming about this Jin person. But there was no smile or blush on her face. Instead, she was violently thumping her pillow.
The last occupant of the room was a more mature looking woman. Kazumi thought she looked rather similar to herself.
Kazumi didn't recognise a single one of them. She wondered just how they were related to the Mishimas.
She decided to leave and take a peek in the last room.
The first thing she noticed was that the man in the corner had serious bed hair. If she was the hairyfairy, she would've left him a comb under his pillow.
But her attention soon switched to the other two occupants of the room. She recognised the grumpy looking one, immediately. She glided over to his sleeping form and knelt beside him.
"My handsome boy," she whispered as she descended the back of her hand down his cheek.
Well… not exactly handsome. Look at all of those scars! And this hairstyle…
"I bet that bear had something to do with this," she scowled, her finger ghosting over a scar.
She looked over at the other sleeping form. He looked remarkably like Kazuya, but without the scars.
"This is the men's room."
Kazumi glanced over her shoulder at the sudden voice. The man with the ridiculous bed hair was sat up in his futon glaring at her.
"Get out," he said, simply.
"Here," she said as she tossed him a comb that had been sat on top of the bedside table. "Comb your hair; it's a mess."
"It always looks like this," he said, his anger growing. "Nobody insults my hair."
It wasn't like Lars to attack a woman out of nowhere, but she had taken a shot at his hair. That was unforgivable.
Still in his futon, he began to roll sideways across the floor. Then, with great strength, he launched into the air, the bottom of his futon stretched towards Kazumi.
She just continued to watch as he passed straight through her and landed right on top of Kazuya.
"What the hell?" He heaved, the wind having been knocked out of him. He shoved Lars off of him and gasped for air. Once he could breathe again, he glanced at the woman beside him.
"M-mother?" He chocked.
"Mother?" Lars parroted, his face flat on the floor.
"Huh?" A dazed looking Jin was now sat up in his own futon.
"My dear boy," Kazumi said as she stood up. "Heihachi I can understand, but why didn't you invite me on this vacation?"
"Uh, because you're dead?" He said, puzzled.
"Like father like son," Kazumi shook her head in disappointment.
She glided over to the door and vanished through it.
"Now I will also seal your door with my ghostly powers, and all of you will be trapped forever!" She cackled again, but soon realised she didn't have the key. It was then that she also realised the rest of the family were stood in the hallway staring at her. "What? How did you get out? I locked the doo… I mean, I sealed the doors with my ghostly powers!"
"Well, you forgot to 'seal' our door," Asuka said as she held up the key in our hand.
"Dammit," she cursed through gritted teeth. I forgot to pick the key up again!
Soon, Jin, Kazuya, and Lars also occupied the hallway, and now Kazumi found herself surrounded.
"Alright, what exactly is going on here?" Jun asked, hands on her hips.
"And who are you?" Kazumi scowled. "One of Heihachi's whores?"
"No, I was Kazuya's whore… I mean, I was his… shut up!" Jun shouted in a fluster.
"This is my wife… uh, 'ex'-wife, Kazumi," Heihachi explained.
A few gasps carried across the group.
"So she's your mom," Xiaoyu said, pointing towards Kazuya.
"Yeah," Kazuya grunted. "No Birthday or Christmas presents. Not even a card."
"I was too dead to send you presents!" Kazumi shouted.
"And too dead to be invited on this vacation!" Kazuya replied, arms crossed.
Kazumi pouted.
"And she's your grandma, Jin?" Xiaoyu said, pointing to him.
"One of the benefits of dying young was that I didn't live long enough to become old enough to become a grandma!" Kazumi nodded. "Wait a minute; Jin? So you're the one she was dreaming about?"
"Wh-what?" Xiaoyu gasped, her face as red as one of Lee's roses. "I-I don't know what she's talking about!"
Everyone stared at her.
"I-Is she your mom, too?" Xiaoyu said, pointing to Lars, a desperate attempt to change the subject.
"No, my mother would never insult my hair," he pouted.
"Mother…" Lee smiled, a loving look in his eyes.
"What?" Kazumi gasped. "Please tell me I didn't conceive that!"
"Rejected!" Lee wept, turning his back to her.
At least he's wearing clothes, now.
"What about you two?" Xiaoyu said, looking at Jun and Asuka. "How are you related?"
"Who cares?" Asuka said with a shrug.
"My head hurts," Xiaoyu whined, clasping her head in her hands.
"So does mine and I'm a ghost," Kazumi also whined.
The family suddenly jumped at the abrupt appearance of another ghost. It materialized through the wall and filled the entire hallway with its huge, hairy frame.
"Not you again," Kazuya growled.
"HELLO!" Said True Ogre. "I HAVE COME TO HAUNT YOU AS PAYBACK FOR KILLING ME!"
"Oh, you died?" Jun said.
"YES," he nodded. "USUALLY WHEN SOMEONE FALLS FROM A GREAT HEIGHT, THEY WILL DIE."
"Why didn't you just fly?" Asked Asuka.
"WITH WHAT?"
"Your wings!?"
"DAMMIT, WHY DIDN'T I THINK OF THAT?" He roared. "WELL, WHATEVER. I'M GOING TO HAUNT YOU ALL FOR THE REST OF YOUR VACATION!"
Everyone, bar Kazumi, groaned.
