Chapter 8
Far away from human population, two aliens fought among the mountains, testing each other to see who was stronger. The beautiful sunset to their right was ignored for favor of the fight, but it wasn't completely wasted. An observer, with black hair stood silent among the cliff, where she was sure she wouldn't be spotted. The fight was after all, very interesting to watch. Especially since the power struggle was between a green adult, and a saiyan 'brat'. Gohan fought seriously, and he had obviously improved since her last visit.
Piccolo threw a punch, which Gohan dodged by leaping over it, and punching Piccolo hard in the face. Piccolo stumbled back a few steps, a proud smirk on his face.
"You've gotten stronger.." He suddenly punched Gohan hard in the face, shouting- "But your not strong enough!" He cackled as Gohan fell from the small cliff and into the river, where he proceeded to flail. Gohan latched onto a rock and gasped lung-fulls of air. Unfortunately Piccolo also stood atop the rock, staring harshly at the sputtering child. Gohan looked up at the apathetic Piccolo with a puppy-dog expression.
"Help me! Can you lend me a hand?" He pleaded, raising one arm out to his teacher. Piccolo lowered his hand, and grabbed Gohan's, lifting him up into the air. It seemed like he was doing a kind act, but it turns out that he wasn't being kind; no, he was still testing Gohan.
"Don't be a spoiled brat!" He shouted, immediately letting go, and punching at Gohan. Gohan managed to dodge all the punches, but Piccolo brought up his knee, and flung Gohan back into the water. Gohan resurfaced a bit downstream, coughing and sputtering, while Piccolo looked on.
"Tch. This is going to take a lot longer than I thought if his only true potential comes out when the moon comes up.." Piccolo muttered thoughtfully. He tensed slightly when the watcher finally decided to intervene, removing herself from the shadows and lifting Gohan out of the water gently. A low, irritated growl erupted from Piccolo as he watched the interaction between the two saiyans. "Especially if she keeps showing up and spoiling the brat.."
"Hey Gohan. Long time no see." I said, smiling gently as he finished his coughing. Gohan looked up at me with a happy smile, though I caught the pained wince when smiling agitated his facial wounds.
"Melon! I'm so glad your back! How long were you here?" He asked curiously, hugging me in greeting. Laughing, I pat his back and help him stand.
"Oh, just enough to watch you two spar. You've really improved, you know that? I'm so proud of you!" I say, smiling as he beams with pride.
"Thanks, I practiced a lot!" Gohan said, causing me to grin.
"Of course you did, and I bet it was hard too. Its hard to improve yourself when your slacking!" I teased, ruffling his hair as we both laugh. I hear a quiet scoff and look over across the stream towards Piccolo, who I noticed was watching us with irritation. Smiling slyly, I fly over and land in front of Piccolo, giving him a once over.
"Don't worry, Piccolo, I didn't forget about you. You've improved much as well!" I tease slightly, my smile growing when he scoffs at me and looks away.
"What makes you think I care, girl?" He rudely asked, but I ignored him and turned back to Gohan.
"Come on, it's getting late. You should call it a day." I motioned him over, and the three of us flew up and to a nearby cliff, before stopping. Looking around, I nod in satisfaction, before sitting down and watching the two do their nightly routine. Gohan retrieved the firewood, and Piccolo took it upon himself to quickly retrieve some rabbits for dinner. He caught two rabbits, one for himself and Gohan, and none for me. I took no offence, however, since I knew I probably wouldn't stay here for long- plus, I wasn't hungry. After the fire was lit, and the rabbits cooked, Gohan dove in and ate the food hungrily. Piccolo was silent, eating at a normal speed, and I just sat there, watching patiently. After Gohan was done, he discarded the bones, and started up a small conversation with me, mostly about what I had missed, what he learned, and how training was going up at King Kai's.
After a while, when we reached a pause in our conversation, Piccolo finally decided to speak up.
"At least after six months of training you're not acting like a cry baby anymore." I couldn't help but roll my eyes silently while Gohan chuckled. He rubbed his bruised face with a wet cloth- which I provided- to try and soothe his skin. Gohan suddenly lowered the cloth and looked up at Piccolo curiously.
"Hey Piccolo, is it really true that you fought against my father a long time ago?" He asked. Piccolo crossed his arms and looked out at the mountains.
"Yes, but that fight's not over yet." He said with narrowed eyes. "I have to take care of these Saiyans first, then your father's next on the list."
"Oh, am I not included Piccolo? I'm so glad that you finally accept my friend request!" I teased, laughing. Piccolo's eyes strayed to me, and he smirked with dark humor.
"Didn't you hear me? I said I'm getting rid of the saiyans first- that includes you."
My laughter died down, and I pouted, crossing my arms.
"Oh, your no fun." I grumble, causing him to chuckle quietly. I hid my responding smile from him. 'Even if he doesn't say it, I know he at least thinks of me as a comrade. That's good enough for me.'
"You know you don't have to fight my Daddy, or Melon. There's no need to now, 'cuz I can tell that you've changed, and you're not a nasty person anymore." I let out a snicker when Gohan said this, and Piccolo growled at us. "You're like one of the family now." He nodded his head and continued on; "Yeah, you're kind of like my big green uncle." I quickly lifted my hand to suppress the giggles, and Piccolo seemed speech-less for a moment.
"You talk way to much kid! Just shut up and go to sleep! Tomorrow's lesson is going to be the hardest one yet!" Gohan jumped back at his angry tone, and Piccolo quickly rounded on me.
"And you! Shut up!" I removed my hand and smirked at Piccolo.
"Why should I stop? This was getting good!" I said laughing again, muttering 'Uncle Piccolo' between laughs. Piccolo growled and stood up, causing me to raise my hand in surrender.
"Sorry, sorry, I'll stop." I say, giggling for a moment, before silencing. Piccolo plopped back down, and glared at me, while I only smiled in return.
"E-erm, goodnight.." Gohan murmured, intimidated, as he went to a spot and curled up. I look over at Gohan and smile.
"Night Gohan. Sweet dreams." I say quietly.
It was silent as the fire slowly burned out. Piccolo sat there watching me, and I sat next to Gohan, gently playing with his bushy hair. Soon enough, Gohan fell asleep, and once the fire was completely out, Piccolo spoke up.
"Tch. Brat." I looked up and grinned.
"'Big green Uncle'?" I questioned, only to swiftly move my head aside to dodge the rock he threw at me. I chuckled and stood up, dusting off my pants.
"Hey, no need to get so defensive, I think it's quite fitting!" I tease, dodging another rock.
"Shut up Melon." He grumbled. My smile ceased, and I stared at him seriously.
"Before I go, I want you to know something." He tilted his head curiously at me, and stood also, staring down at me.
"I'm not going to stay with King Kai for much longer. My training is almost up, and I'll be coming down here for the battle. Hopefully I will arrive a few days before the battle and I'll have enough time to find you guys. Do you think Kami will be able to pick me up from the underworld and transfer me to earth?" I asked, hinting for Piccolo to ask.
"Well, the old man and I don't get along at all. He can get you, but I'm not a damn owl, so don't expect me to go up to the lookout and tell him to pick you up."Piccolo said, frowning. I cross my arms and huff in irritation.
"Wow. Thanks for the help." I say sarcastically, causing a small smirk to form on Piccolo's face.
"Well, you're on your own. I've got to keep training Gohan anyways. Find another way to get to Earth. If you happen to miss this fight, then oh well. It's not like you're vital to us winning." At this, I glare at the green man.
"Hey, don't be such a dick. I can see through you, ya know. You just don't want me here during the battle because I'M the one who's gonna save your butt!" I growl teasingly. Piccolo immediately huffed in irritation and smirked cruelly at me.
"Who says I'm the one who's going to need saving? You're the weak one around here." I shrug off his taunt, smiling triumphantly.
"Uh-huh, suuure. Anyways, try to keep Gohan alive before I show up. I know he's improved and stuff, but don't kill him before the battle." I stare pointedly at him before continuing, "Also, remember that Gohan has never been in a real, serious fight before. All his experience is from us, and we aren't trying to kill him. He's still a kid, don't be too harsh on him during his first battle, alright?" I demand seriously, crossing my arms and shifting onto my other foot.
"Heh. No promises." Piccolo grumbled. I silently roll my eyes, then lift up a hand lazily in a wave.
"Well, I'm going to go back and train. Ja ne~" I say, watching as my hand rapidly starts to fade.
"Oi, make sure to train hard, your still a weak disgrace." Piccolo huffed, turning and plopping on the grass once I nod in recognition. I grin and chuckle at his 'tsundere' behavior before my eyesight completely turns black on me.
~End 'dream'~
Grass tickling my arms and a soft wind tussling my hair was the first things I noticed when I was conscious. I inhaled, then exhaled, greatly enjoying the comfort I rarely found myself in. Granted, my arms and legs still burned from training, but it's the closest I've been to relaxed in a while. It was then that I realized that someone was standing close by- right above me, actually, but trying to hide their power level. My gentle smile tugged into a slight frown, and I squinted my eyes open, glaring into the light to see who was watching me sleep. The first thing I noticed about the figure was that they had hair; dark hair that spiked up around their head. Blinking, I smile once I realize I was back on Kai's planet, and Goku was standing there, watching me with a confused look on his face.
"Mornin'." I announce, lifting my arms and stretching my body. Sitting up, I look back up at Goku and grin. "What's up?"
"Shouldn't I be asking you that?" Goku asked, an easy going smile on his face. "You're the one sleeping in the grass."
"Ah." I shrug, and roll backwards onto my feet. "Well, what can I say, the grass is comfortable. You should know, you sleep out here as much as I do." I tease doing a few arm stretches to wake up my muscles. Goku smiles and shrugs, quietly agreeing.
"That's true. So, did you have a good rest?" Goku asked. I shrugged, smiling softly as I remembered hanging out with Gohan.
"It was pleasurable, yes." I refocus on Goku when he nods in response. "Why do you ask?" Goku laughed nervously, scratching the back of his head sheepishly.
"Well-" He got cut off by his own stomach, however, and I let out a laugh.
"Oh, so you're hungry, is that it? And I thought you came to bug me because you missed my company!" I dramatically whine, holding my head in woe. "Oh, how you disappoint me so~" I sung, spinning on my heel.
"A-ah? I'm sorry Melon-?" Goku muttered, lifting his hands as if he could physically calm me down. When I see this, I laugh, and wave my hands.
"Calm down, haha, I'm kidding. Come on, let's get some grub." Goku pauses, then grins and nods excitedly, following me with a skip in his step, causing me to laugh quietly.
"So, what do you want to eat?" I ask as I walk into the dome house.
"Ooh, some fried chicken sounds good! And maybe some mashed potatoes, and noodles, and-"
"Woah, woah, slow down turbo!" I swiftly cut him off, waving my hands to stop him from talking. "I was just gonna make you a snack, not a three-course meal!" I said, laughing slightly at his expression.
"Aww, but Melooon-"
"No."
"Pleaaaaase?"
"No." I reply firmly. I open the fridge and peer in. Goku leaned over the side, getting close to my face and pouting again. Groaning, I push his head away, shaking my head slightly at his actions.
"Hey!" Goku protested.
"Shush, I'm thinking about what I'm gonna make." I grumble, removing my hand and digging through the meat drawer with my free hand.
"But Mel-"
"No buts." I glance and look over the fridge door to see Goku pouting and crossing his arms. "If you're gonna complain, why don't you just ask Sensei to make you a snack? I can ask him if you want?" I question, straightening up and closing the door. Goku, alarmed, shot over.
"No, no please don't Melon!" I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow in surprise.
"Why?"
"I don't like his cooking; it tastes horrible.." Goku mumbled, looking to the side sheepishly. I laugh quietly and roll my eyes, knowing that he was kind of right.
"Okay, okay, I'll make you somethin', alright? Stop pouting." I said, carrying the egg carton over to the small stove. Goku fist pumps then sits down at the table, a triumphant smile on his face. I laugh and roll my eyes, switching on the burner and cracking open a few eggs.
"Sheesh, how are you going to survive without me?" I tease lightly, looking over my shoulder and smirking at Goku. Goku straightened up and looked at me shocked.
"What? What do you mean?"
"I'm leaving soon, didn't you know that?" I question curiously, tilting my head in confusion.
"Well yeah, but I didn't know your leaving so soon.." I shrug and turn back to the stove, ignoring his somber look.
"Ah. Well, I'm mostly done with my training, all I need to do is refine a few moves then I'm good." Goku nodded but stayed quiet. A few moments passed of this almost weird silence before I decided to break the weird tension.
"Speaking of training, did you catch Gregory yet?" I questioned.
"Nah, that little grasshopper is a fast one, but I'll get him!" Goku said, his good mood returning.
"Mm-hmm. Are you excited for the real training Sensei's got in store for you?" I ask, glancing over to see his lazy expression. Goku smiled excitedly.
"Yeah! I wonder what he's gonna teach me.. Do you think he'll teach me a super powerful move?" Goku asked excitedly. I take out a spatula and scrape the omelet onto a plate, snickering quietly under my breath. I grabbed the plate and walked over to the table, setting the plate in front of him.
I noticed that he was happily staring into space, a childish sparkle in his eye. I snorted quietly in amusement, which caught his attention.
"What?" He asked, pouting at me.
"Nothing, nothing. Four omelets should hold you over until dinner, right?" I ask, turning and walking back into the kitchen to wash my dishes. Goku nodded in affirmation, and I smiled as I filled up the sink and dumped the dishes in. I scrubbed in silence, snickering when I would hear the occasional groan of approvement from Goku's closed mouth.
I roll my eyes slightly as I hear him devour his food. Ever since Goku showed up, I made a deal with Sensei to teach him some form of table manners, since he so obviously knew none. Unfortunately, the only rule he remembered is to chew with his mouth closed.. 'Yeah, he's still a work in progress..' I thought, sighing slightly. I wipe my hands off on a towel than swiped an apple from the counter. I looked it over quickly before taking a bite out of it. I leaned against the counter and watched Goku as he stood up and dropped his dish in the sink.
"Do you know what Sensei's going to teach you?" I asked curiously. Goku hummed and leaned on the counter opposite of me and shrugged. I widened my eyes fakely and gave a small, dramatic gasp.
"You mean he hasn't told you?" I watched with hidden amusement as Goku took the bait and watched me with interest.
"What, do you mean, do you know what he's going to teach me?" I smiled and Goku took that as a yes. "Melon! Please tell me!" Goku said grinning excitedly.
"Ah, If he hasn't told you yet, then I can't.." I said slyly, taking another bite of my apple.
"Oh, come on, please? I'm dying to know!" Goku pleaded, clasping his hands together and using the puppy-dog look on me.
"You sure he hasn't told you? I mean, it's such an amazing move that surely.." I trailed off, mentally fist-pumping as Goku again took the bait.
"Melon tell me!" Goku said, stepping closer and preparing to tackle me. 'Goodbye snack.' I took my last bite, then chucked the apple, which hit Goku's chest with a firm thud. I then booked it out of the kitchen, escaping through the back door.
"Ow! Melon!" I hear Goku playfully roar, causing me to laugh and run faster. I circled around the house and ran past Sensei, who was wiping down his car. Sensei glanced up then rolled his eyes. I felt Goku's chi flare for a moment, and I guessed that he leaped over the house. I squealed as he landed a few feet in front of me and took a sharp left. I managed to successfully evade Goku for 10 minutes, having more than a few close calls since he cheated and shot some energy blasts. I shot an energy ball at Goku to hopefully put some distance between us, but he merely jumps over it and tackles me. I let out a loud 'oof' as I hit the ground face-first. I groaned quietly as suddenly a heavy weight sat on top of my back.
"Agh, Goku! Get off!" I yell, squirming in an attempt to knock him off.
"Not until you tell me what I'm gonna learn!" Goku announced playfully, causing me to growl in annoyance.
"I never agreed to tell you if you caught me!" I yelp as suddenly my left leg was grabbed by big hand and pulled back.
"Ow ow ow! Goku! Stop! Ah!" I shout, flailing even more now as he smugly grinned.
"I won't let go until you tell me what I'll learn!" I scowl, and pout, staying quiet as I tried to think of a way out of this mess. "Your life is in my hands~" Goku announced dramatically, causing me to snort in amusement.
"So dramatic.." I announce playfully, though I gasped as he pulled my leg back farther, causing the joints to pop. "Ah! Okay I give! Uncle! Uncle!" I shout, pounding the grass with my fist so he got the point. I hear him chuckle and I smile in relief as he releases me and sits down. I sit up and hold my chest, gasping quietly as I glared at him.
"Did anyone ever tell you that your fat?" I question sarcastically. Goku only smirked triumphantly and flicked my nose.
"That's not nice Melon. Don't change the subject, what is King Kai gonna teach me?" Goku said, causing my brain to temporarily stall. 'Crap, I don't know what Sensei is going to teach him. I only know about the kame-hame ha, and the spirit bomb. Oh that's it!' I mentally snap my fingers and look down, motioning for him to come closer. Goku leans over and I quickly grip the front of his tunic, dragging his shocked form close.
"What you are going to learn is.." I paused and smirked against his ear.
"The kame-hame ha" I quickly pushed him slightly and rolled back, grinning at his shocked and disappointed look. I burst into laughter.
"Y-your face! Hahaha! You thought that's really.. Hahaha!" I said between laughs. I laughed harder as Goku gave me a disappointed groan and flopped down on the grass. "Melloooon I already know that move!" He whined.
I wipe my eye and stroll over, kneeling by his head and smirking.
"I know. That's the point." I flick his nose, and giggle when he scrunches it up. I suddenly realized that something was amiss so I quickly stood up.
"Goku, where's sensei?" I asked looking around and trying to sense his energy. Goku opened his mouth to reply, but the man in question answered me himself..
..By shooting a blue energy-ball at my head.
Instinctively, I tilt my head to the right and take a step back, looking behind me at my smug teacher. I narrow my eyes then sigh quietly.
'Another test?' "Sensei, are we really going to spar now?" I whined.
"Well, since you're energy is back, I thought you were ready for more training." he stated, smirking in amusement. I huff and push my hair out of my eye, leaning back and easing myself into a stable stance.
"Guess I am now. Do you think you can handle me, Sensei? I am getting pretty strong." I tease, grinning at his puffed up cheeks.
"You may have gotten physically stronger, but it's still not good enough!" He shouted at the end, and he thrust his palm out, shooting ki at me. I lose my breath as I was thrust back, but I threw out my hand and sprung back up to my feet. I straighten myself and scowl.
"How rude." I mumble quietly, gathering my ki in my hands and feet. I run towards Sensei, shouting a war cry as I shoot two energy balls at him. I get close and ease into a series of punches and kicks, which were mostly dodged by him. I threw out my leg and frowned when he jumped over. In retaliation, he threw out his leg and kicked me in the chest, causing me to skid back.
"Urg.." I cough and pat my chest, frowning at Sensei as he nonchalantly lowered back to the ground.
Standing up, I shake my arms before lifting them again. I focused on my ki and felt it morph into a small ball in my hand. Swiftly, I throw my hand out, releasing the orb at Sensei. Sensei dodged for the most part, but his shoulder got nicked, causing me to let out a breathless laugh.
"Ha! I got you!" I shouted happily, pointing at Sensei and shooting multiple small bursts at him. The golden light streaked across the grass and chased after Sensei, who was running and dodging them.
"Don't let it get to your head! No way can you hit me again!" He shouted as he leaped over the last streak. I jumped to the right as a blue orb was shot at me. I let out a determined grin and straightened up.
"Challenge ACCEPTED!" I yelled back, now throwing both my arms up and shooting at him. Gold and blue orbs flew from my hands and circled around the area, each one missing their intended target. Dirt was flung up, mucking up my visibility, but I didn't let that hinder me. Instead, I grinned and chuckled quietly to myself, throwing a few more golden shots ahead of Sensei to distract him. Half chased Sensei, and the other half buried deep in the earth, raising so much dirt that no one could see anything.
'Yes! Now's my chance!' I thought, moving both arms in front of me and rubbing them together. The squealing of my other attacks were still resounding through the air, so I knew that Sensei was mostly distracted.
I forced a good chunk of ki into my hands, then I slowly separated them, still rotating my hands in mid air. In between my palms was a small, baseball-sized green orb, and I smirked as it slowly grew bigger. 'Here we go!'
I lift my palm up and pose like a pitcher, searching the now-silent cloud for my Sensei's aura. I couldn't help but smirk as I found him standing above my small ki-balls. I snap my free fingers and grin when I hear a small bang. I watched as Sensei leaped from the cloud and hovered above it, searching for me. I noted with satisfaction that his tunic had some dirt stains and tears in it. Swiftly, I aim and throw the green ball.
'Hit him, hit him, hit him, hit him!' I chanted mentally as my energy swiftly sailed through the air. Sensei turned to the ball in shock, and swiftly lifted his arm, knowing that it was too late to fully dodge. A loud explosion happened upon impact, dispersing the dirt cloud and messing up my hair. I stood in silence, watching impatiently as the green light died down and revealed Sensei down on the ground. My eyes widened, and I stilled, watching for signs of movement from my teacher. When he weakly sat up, throwing up a torn cloth in surrender, I exhaled in disbelief. Slowly, a thrilled smile danced on my cheeks.
"YES! I WIN!" I scream happily, lifting my fist in triumph and bouncing around. "I win I win I win I WIN!" I repeat happily, skipping to Sensei. I kneel slightly and triumphantly point in his face.
"I BEAT YOU! Yes! The student beats the master!" I beamed happily and looked him over swiftly, realizing that he was injured, but not overly so. His tunic was dirty and torn, and his glasses were cracked, revealing tiny black eyes. His arm sleeve was missing, and his arm was slightly burned, but not overly so, and he was lightly bleeding in a few places. Sensei huffed in irritation when I giddily poked his cheek repeatedly, but I could see hidden pride in his eyes.
"Admit it! Admit it! I got you good! Admit it!" I reiterate, grinning at his reaction. Sensei half-heartedly smacked my hand away before sighing.
"Yes, yes, you got me-"
"Ha! You admitted it! Yosh!" I yelled happily, jumping and fist pumping in enthusiasm. Sensei chuckled then hit my leg.
"Yes yes, we get it. Now help me up." He said. I look down and smiled softly, reaching out my hand and grasping his.
"Sure, Sensei." I said, grinning and pulling him up easily. Once he stood up, he wiped his tunic and straightened up.
"Congratulations, Melon. You have beat me! Your training is complete." I smiled and my eyes sparkled in pure happiness. "It was a pleasure teaching you, Melon."
"It was a pleasure learning from you. Thank you!" I said, bowing low in respect. I straightened and grinned, relaxing my stance and leaning on one leg.
"Melon! That was awesome! You got so strong!" Goku shouted, running over to us with Bubbles on his heels. He stopped in front of us, and I chuckled quietly.
"Hey, you saw all that, right? Did you see me knock Sensei down!" I asked excitedly, shifting from foot to foot in happiness. "Wasn't that awesome!?" Goku nodded, happily matching my enthusiasm. I high-fived him and we chuckled together.
"We should celebrate this great victory!" I shout dramatically, spinning to Sensei and grinning. "Is that alright with you?" I ask, smiling and pleading for his permission. The beaten man sighed before smiling in resignation.
"Sure, as long as I pick what we eat." King kai said, sniffing haughtily. I grinned and swiftly hugged him.
"Thank you so much!" Kai stutters and I let go, grinning and dragging him to the house.
"C'mon tell me what you want to eat! I'll make it for you!" I say happily laughing as Goku happily followed us.
"W-wait slow down! I'm injured you idiot!"
~Time Skip~
"This is 10% luck, 20% skill, 15% concentrated power of will.
5% pleasure, 50% pain, and 100% reason to remember the name."
The radio was playing "oldies" in the dining room, and I couldn't help but sigh in content. My arms were behind my head and I was lying on the couch.
'I finally did it! I'm finally done with my training! Ah~ I'm stuffed!' I glance over and grin as Goku lies on the floor, his stomach bigger than normal. 'He ate so much food, so he probably liked it too.' I stifled a laugh and stared at the ceiling. The sounds of snoring from the hallway alerted me of King Kai's sleeping form, and an even louder snort pulled my gaze back to Goku. So far, I'm the only one awake right now, which is fine by me. I couldn't help but sadly smile as I look around the living room for the last time.
"I'm gonna miss this.." I murmur quietly. I picked up the radio remote and cut the song off mid-rap, gently tossing the remote on the floor.
I let out a sigh and quietly stand up, tossing the thin blanket over Goku before walking into the hallway. I yawn and enter the guest bedroom, stripping and flopping onto my bed. I sigh and curl under the covers, shivering slightly from the cool sheets. I open my eyes and stare at the wall quietly, multiple insecurities and what-ifs flying through my mind.
'What if I don't make it in time? What if I am no match for Nappa, and I get killed before Goku arrives? Can I really face off such powerful opponents?' I groan and roll over, forcefully closing my eyes and burrowing in the sheets. 'There's no use wondering. I'll find out soon enough anyways. Just get as much rest as you can, I'll need the energy tomorrow.' With that, I forcefully shut my mind off and drifted into a dreamless sleep.
A/N: Hello! Okay, so I'm 'borrowing' the town's library computer to post this. I still don't have internet at my house unfortunately, so that's mainly what's preventing me from posting. But I will try my hardest to post sooner! I'm working now, (At a Subway! :D) though, and the only place I can really write is at school during study hall, so it's still going to be awhile before my next post.
According to the poll, Vegeta is in the lead by 1 vote! I'll leave my poll up longer, so don't worry, you can still vote! I honestly thought that Goku would be in the lead.. *shrug* you ship who you ship. Haha~
Anyways I hope your happy with this 'slightly fluffy' chapter. Next one is intro to the fight~~ And Vegeta too~! (Be still my heart,) Whoop Whoop!
Read, enjoy and review~
