Later that day Ferelith walked into the main part of the bunker and sat her bag on the table. Dean and Sam looked at her but said nothing as Castiel entered the room. "Ready?" Dean asked.
Ferelith nodded and Sam and Dean headed up the stairs with Castiel following them. Ferelith didn't move from her spot as she stared at the floor lost in thought.
"Fer?"
Ferelith looked up and saw Castiel had stopped at the top of the stairs. "You coming?" He asked. "Yeah." Ferelith said avoiding his gaze and following after him.
Ferelith had told Crowley to meet them at a Gas N Sip just outside of town since it wouldn't have been wise to have him at the bunker. On the way to the gas station in the Impala, there wasn't anything but silence. Castiel and Ferelith sat in the back seat trying very hard not to look at each other while Sam and Dean glanced at each other nervously.
Finally Dean decided to break the silence. "So are we going to talk about the elephant in the room?"
Ferelith looked at her eldest brother with a glare. "What elephant?"
Dean glanced at her in the rear view mirror. "Don't try and play dumb Fer, you know what I'm talking about."
"Drop it Dean..." Ferelith warned.
Castiel looked at Ferelith then at Dean, he knew what they were talking about but he didn't know what to say.
"No! I'm not going to drop it! You two have been avoiding each other all morning and now you two are going to talk it out!"Dean snapped. "Stop the car Dean!" Ferelith yelled.
"No!"
"Damn it Dean if you don't pull over I'll jump out!" Ferelith warned. "No you won't." Dean laughed. True to her word Ferelith unlocked the door and opened it as the car was moving and unbuckled her seat belt.
Dean slammed on the breaks as Castiel grabbed Ferelith and pulled her back against him. Once the car was stopped Ferelith pulled free of Castiel and got out. She started off down the road by herself towards the Gas N Sip. "Fer! Stop!" Sam yelled.
Ferelith turned on the three men. "What!? So you can pressure me!?"
Castiel looked at her hurt. "What did I do?"
Fereliths face softened at the look. "I'm not mad at you Cass..."
"No your just being a bitch!" Dean snapped. "Did that Mark fry your brain!?"
Ferelith bristled. "You asshole!!!! The only reason...You know what? Fine..." She seethed. "I don't need you! I'll find the blade myself!!"
Sam went to say something but Dean beat him to it. "Like hell you are!"
Ferelith turned and stormed off down the road. Castiel followed after her not wanting her to go off alone.
Half an hour into the walk Ferelith stopped and looked at Castiel. "I'm sorry..." She said not looking him directly in the eye. "I'm sorry for everything..." Castiel looked at her. " you could have killed yourself..."
Ferelith nodded. "I was just so mad...Dean was pressuring me and..."
Castiel stopped her. " I understand just don't do it again." Ferelith smiled at him. " I'm glad your here."
A little while later Ferelith and Castiel walked onto the property of the Gas N Sip and they saw Crowley waiting for them. "About bloody damn time! What did you walk here?" Castiel glared at him. " Mind your tone Crowley." Ferelith looked at Crowley. "What have you got?" Crowley smiled. "What no hello?" Castiel and Ferelith just glared at him. "Fine, your looking for a man named Cuthbert Sinclair. He has a museum just outside Kansas were he keeps the Blade. He is a master at warding...Just thought you should know." Crowley said. Ferelith nodded. "Anything else?" Crowley shook his head. "No, but expect there to be a lot of Demons there." And with that he was gone.
Ferelith looked around then at Castiel. "Well I guess we are going Kansas."
After finding a car and buying clothes Ferelith and Castiel spent four hours on the road. Dean kept repeatedly calling Ferelith to which she sent to voice mail. After a while Castiel decided to break the silence. "Fer, can I ask you something?" Ferelith looked at him and nodded. "Sure you can ask me anything."
"Are you sure it's smart to go after the first Blade with out Sam and Dean?"
Ferelith was quiet for a moment. "Yeah..." She finally said.
After another hour in the car Ferelith pulled into a hotel parking lot and parked. Killing the engine she looked around tiredly. "Let's call it a day..." She said getting out. Castiel followed suit and got out closing the door. Ferelith grabbed her bag and Castiel grabbed his.
They walked into the check in office and got in line. There was one couple ahead of them and they seemed to be newly weds. Ferelith watched them and she couldn't help but feel envious. Getting married was something that possibly wasn't going to happen in her line of work. She shifted uncomfortably and tried not to think about the memory of Castiel kissing her.
The couple walked past as they headed out of the office and Ferelith and Castiel walked up to the counter. The clerk, who's name was Max looked at them. "Oh another couple?" He asked. Ferelith blushed and shook her head. "No just friends..." Castiel looked at the now very interesting paper on the counter. Max looked at the two of them then nodded. "Okay...Well what can I do for you?" Ferelith licked her lips then pulled out her wallet. " um can we get a room with two separate beds?" Max looked at his computer then sighed. "Um I'm sorry but the only room we have available is our Honey moon suite." Ferelith felt her heart drop. "Are you sure?" Max nodded. "Yes ma'am, but I can give it to you for the same price as a regular room since we don't have what you need. Will that do?" Ferelith looked at her watch and saw it was getting late. "Yeah that will work." She said handing Max her credit card. Ferelith signed the guest book and the credit card recite under the name April Donoghue. "Thanks for coming to the Red Oak Inn!" Max said as Ferelith and Castiel walked out after getting their card key.
They walked down to room 2210 and Ferelith unlocked the door. Entering the room Ferelith quickly saw why this was a Honeymoon suite. There were flowers everywhere and the carpet was a deep red and the walls were pink. The bed was covered in rose petals and the bedding wassoft white. There was a bottle of champagne chilled in ice. Castiel seemed to freeze in the doorway. Ferelith turned and looked at him. "You okay?" Castiel looked at her, and slowly entered the room closing the door. "So this is a honeymoon suite?" Ferelith nodded nervously dropping her bag on a couch. "Yeah...um I'll take the couch." Castiel looked at her then at the couch. It wasn't really a couch but more of a love seat. Castiel knew there was no way Ferelith could sleep comfortably on it. "No you take the bed." He said removing his trench coat. Ferelith looked at him smiling. "Cass I'll be fine, we just spent several hours in a cramped car. You deserve the bed. Plus your like 6'0" you won't fit on the couch." Castiel looked at her raising an eyebrow. "And you will?" Ferelith blushed. "I'll make it work!"
Castiel walked over to her taking her other bag. "No your taking the bed!"
Ferelith sighed. "Why don't we share the bed?" Castiel looked at her. "I don't want to make you uncomfortable." Ferelith shook her head. "You won't, I trust you." Castiel nodded and removed his black suit jacket. "As long as your not going to be uncomfortable."
Ferelith grabbed her pajamas from her bag. "I'm going to go change, I'm going to bed." Castiel nodded grabbing his sweat pants. "when your done I'll take a shower."
Ferelith went into the bathroom and closed the door. She looked at herself in the mirror steeling herself. She had to share a bed with Castiel, this was going to be hard. Being so close to him and remembering the kiss. "You can do this..." Ferelith whispered. She quickly changed into her black pajama shorts and black tank top.
When she left the bathroom Castiel was sitting on the edge of the bed. Ferelith looked at him and smiled. "The bathroom is all yours." Castiel smiled back and stood up and headed into the bathroom and closed the door. Putting her dirty clothes in her bag Ferelith walked over and started sweeping the rose petals onto the floor. Once she was done she climbed into bed and covered up.
As she laid there she laid on her side facing away from the bathroom. She thought about the kiss and everything a Castiel had said. It made her mind race, and it was hard for her to focus.
A little while later she heard Castiel turn the water off and she closed her eyes and tried to force herself to go to sleep. She heard Castiel enter the room and climb into bed. Ferelith tensed realizing how small the bed was.
"Fer? You okay?" Castiel asked.
Ferelith didn't move but she answered. "Yeah why?"
She felt Castiel move towards her and she felt him touch her shoulder. "Look at me..." He said. Ferelith rolled over and faced him. The sight was devastating. His hair was all messed up from being towel dried and he smelled so good. His eyes held concern and worry. Ferelith noticed he wasn't wearing a shirt and she blushed again. Man was she blushing a lot today.
"Yeah?" She asked.
Castiel looked at her with a serious gaze. "Ferelith your practically hugging the edge of the bed and your all tense...I thought you were okay with this?" Ferelith looked at him and nodded. "I am it's just..."
"Just what?" Castiel asked.
Ferelith looked at him and her eyes moved down to his lips and she quivered. "I..."
"What?"
Before she could stop herself Ferelith leaned towards him and kissed him. The kiss was tentive at first but Castiel nor Ferelith pulled away. Getting braver Castiel deepened the kiss, pulling Ferelith against him. Ferelith pulled back slightly looking at him. "I'm sorry you must be so confused..." She breathed heavily. "But I have to...Tell you I do love you!" She said kissing him again. Castiel smiled into the kiss as it got more heated. Castiel slowly rolled over on top of Ferelith kissing her slowly down her jawline to her neck and collar bone. Ferelith's hands explored his back as Castiel's own hands explored Fereliths body as if seeing it for the first time. One of Castiels hands slipped into her shorts and slowly moved lower. Ferelith bucked against his hand as he slowly rubbed her clit. Castiel kissed her hungrily his fingers moving with purpose.
When Ferelith looked at Castiel, it was suddenly like she was rocketed to a different world. She felt a wave of dizziness come over her and there was a vision of something...
Ferelith stood over Castiel's bloody and broken body, her own body covered in blood...She looked down at her hands and cried. "No!No!"
"No!" Ferelith cried pulling back. Castiel looked at her stopping his actions. "Fer!? What's wrong?" He asked. Ferelith looked at him with tear filled eyes. "I'm...I'm going to kill you..." She cried. "I saw it..." Castiel held her gently rolling onto his side so she could cuddle against him and bury her face in his chest. "Everything will be okay..." he said holding her. "I promise..."
