"So Temari welcome to your knew home." Hinata said as her Sasuke and Temari entered the gates of Konoha.
"Oh this is so exciting!" Temari cheered playing along with Hinata, it had been there goal to annoy Sasuke the whole trip.
"Yeah, real exciting." Sasuke muttered as tumbleweed rolled by.
"Woah that was like awesome timing." Hinata said in an amazed Bill voice, then giggled.
"Yeah dude, you must have the 'gift'." Temari said also in a Bill and Ted's voice, nudging Sasuke in the arm with her elbow.
"Yeah the gift to have not gone insane on the trip back here while you two acted like idiots." Sasuke smirked at their faux annoyed looks.
"Come Tem let's go report to Tsunade, ignore my significant other." Hinata chimed grabbing her friend's hand and pulling her towards Hokage tower. Sasuke rolled his eyes then smirked seeing as the ladies we're walking ahead of him he got a rather nice view of Hinata's behind.
"Stop looking at my ass and catch up Uchiha." Hinata commanded in a half authoritative half flirtatious voice, as Temari laughed beside her.
"But it's such a nice view." Sasuke smirked continuing to follow them while still enjoying the view.
"Humph. Damn, the hot blonde's fan cover's her fine ass up." Came a new voice next to Sasuke, if Temari hadn't of recognized his voice she would have had to open up a can of whoop ass, but seeing as she did she just turned on her heel to face the offending person.
"If you wanna see close your eyes, you and I both know you have an excellent memory." she snapped in a not so threatening manner as would be expected as to who she was talking to.
Sasuke and Hinata went on their way seeing as they knew this may take awhile and she would have to report to the Hokage eventually.
"So I hear you are now an honorary Leaf Shinobi." Shikamaru said dropping his cigarette to the ground and stepping on it.
"Yeah, speaking of which I need to talk to Tsunade soon to get my housing and all that worked out." Temari thought out loud.
"What a drag, woman you are aware that you'll be living with me, unless you oppose this decision." Shikamaru muttered.
"I figured as much just wanted to check without having to come straight out and ask you." she grinned.
"Troublesome." Shikamaru muttered then looked up noticing the echo he thought he had heard when he said this was actually Temari.
Seeing his quizzical look Temari supplied. "I know you well enough that if I do something like that the automatic response will be 'troublesome'." she smiled.
"Shoulda known." he smirked walking up to her and putting his arm around her waist and kissing her.
"Mm, taste like cigarettes." Temari murmured when they broke apart for air.
"Sorry." he muttered.
"I didn't say it was a bad thing." she smirked kissing him again only admitting to herself that she actually welcomed that taste because it reminded her of him.
"Now, if we want you to actually make it as a Leaf shinobi I'd say we should go see Tsunade so she can brief you on everything." Shikamaru said letting go of her waist and taking her hand as they walked to the tower together.
"Let's go." The blonde replied following his lead.
"Well, well, well if it isn't the miss 'I only blush for one person' herself." Tsunade chuckled as the two entered .
"Lady Tsunade." Temari smiled nodding in greeting, personally she loved it when her and Shikamaru were stuck in her office alone with her, it was so much fun teasing him.
"I trust you are alright with this arrangement." Tsunade said referring to her and Sakura switching villages.
"Yes ma'am." Temari nodded.
"And you are happy with your living arrangements?" the Hokage smirked.
"Very." was all Temari replied before they were both laughing loudly with Shikamaru rolling his eyes and smacking his forehead with the palm of his hand.
"Anyway on a not so lighter note I have a mission for the both of you, and yes it is just the both of you so I expect professional behavior." Tsunade said now in an authoritative voice but still kinda teasing them.
"Hear that Shikamaru, no jumping me in the bushes." Temari laughed.
"Oh please like I'd ever even try to jump you in the bushes." he rolled his eyes.
"You have before." she countered.
"Have not." he said.
"As amusing as this is to watch I'm going to interupt, here are your mission details and your new headband Temari." Tsunade said as she handed the ex Sand shinobi a packet. "You are both excused."
The two bowed then turned to leave.
"Oh now I remember, that wasn't jumping you Temari I was saving your ass on a mission." Shikamaru scoffed as they walked out the door.
"Yeah but you jumped on me while I was in the bushes." She stated like it was the most obvious thing in the world.
"Unbelievable." Tsunade heard the Nara mutter as the two finally were in the hallway, she had no doubt that the two would complete this mission quickly and easily and maybe on the way home visit a bush or two.
As soon as Shikamaru and Temari got home they took a shower, the reasons they took one together was because after a long day they both needed it but more because they missed each other and didn't want to spend more than a couple minutes apart.
Afer the two were all dried off and dressed they sat in their small living room and looked through the packet Tsunade had given Temari. The blonde first pulled out her new forehead protector with the leaf insignia on it and tied it around her neck taking the place of her old one.
"How's it look?" Temari asked when she was finished fiddling with it.
"Honestly Tem?" he asked
"Yes, tell me what you honestly think of it." she huffed not liking his reaction.
"I think it looks exactly like your old one except it has a different symbol on it." he smiled wryly.
"You ass, I seriously thought something was wrong with it." she huffed turning away from him on their position on the couch.
"Yeah well you're in love with me, so it's your own damn fault." he laughed "Now let's look at our mission info shall we?"
"Fine then, go ahead." she said motioning for him to open it. Shikamaru pulled out two identical paper-clipped stack of papers, handing one to Temari and keeping the other for himself. The two silently opened them and started reading.
"Oh this is gonna be fun!" Temari laughed evilly.
"What a drag." Shikamaru groaned as he read on.
"Oh come on Shika don't you wanna play house with me?" she cackled
"You are crazy you know that. No I don't want to pretend to be your lover who you ran away with after some other guy knocked you up." he grumbled. Wondering why the story was so elaborate.
"But I'll whisper to anyone that looks at us funny that your actually the father but I just didn't have the nerve to tell you yet." She continued to grin.
"It scares me how much you want to go on this mission. I mean you'll be carrying a bunch of information disguised as your pregnant belly, doesn't that sound troublesome to you." He asked glancing sideways at her.
"Nah, please I've had to pretend Kankuro was my husband before because Gaara was mad at us one day and wanted to have a little revenge I think I can stand this." She explained shuddering at the memory.
"Wait, you had to play Kanky's wife?" Shikamaru asked clearly amused.
"Yes okay, now can we drop it." she snapped.
"Did you have to kiss him?" Shikamaru now couldn't help but chuckle.
"EW! No of course not that's disgusting I just had to hold hands with him and crap like that is was totally humiliating." she grumbled.
"Alright sorry to bring up bad memories, but what did you guys do to make Gaara so pissed?" the pineapple head asked. This caused Temari to smile evilly.
"We drew eyebrows on him with permanent marker." she chuckled.
"Nice, you are so mature." Shikamaru rolled his eyes but was trying to picture what the Kazekage would look like with Sharpie eyebrows, this inevitably caused him to laugh.
"Oh so whose immature now, huh?" she laughed.
"Alright Tem, let's pack our stuff tonight then hit the hay, since we have to leave at the ungodly hour of 5:00 in the morning.
"Lazy ass." she muttered as she walked around packing her things.
"Sexy ass." he countered causing her to blush as she thought back to earlier that day.
"Shut up." she hissed although it was said through a smile that was fighting it's way onto her face.
"Don't smile, crack your face." Shikamaru sang.
"Yeah I'll crack your face all right, with my fan that's what I'll do." she muttered although she was giggling. By this time both were done, seeing as Temari hadn't really unpacked and Shikamaru packed lightly.
"Alright I'm ready to go to bed now." Temari yawned.
"Good. But you better stay awake." Shikamaru winked causing the normally stoic faced girl to blush.
"Talk, talk talk but not action."she teased.
"Did you say action?" he laughed at his own pun before pinning her to the bed and kissing her senseless.
