"You know what's weird?" Temari asked as she sat in a circle with Sakura and Hinata, it had been a week since Shikamaru and Sasuke had been brought into the hospital and the four would be heading back home tomorrow. The girls decided three men was more than enough to take care of two kids while they caught up with some good old fashioned girl talk.

"What?" Sakura asked

"We're in my old bedroom like we were almost a year ago but so much has changed. Like for one this is no longer my bedroom." She stated smiling lightly.

"You're not going to make us talk about our 'lovers' again are you?" Hinata asked with a sour look on her face.

"Well I wasn't until you brought it up, so Hina you go first. Spill." The blonde chuckled evilly.

"Sasuke asked my father before his mission if he could marry me," Hinata explained pausing for the gasps she received.

"What did he say, better yet what did you say?" Sakura asked.

"I said yes of course," The byakugan user rolled her eyes. "And my dad said he would get back to him, but I'm almost certain that he'll say yes, if not just to find out what would happen when the Uchiha and Hyuuga blood lines are crossed."

"No fair I have nothing to top that." Sakura pseudo whined.

"You just gave BIRTH for gosh sakes woman I think you have something equal if not more interesting than that." Temari laughed.

"Yeah but that's old news we've known for nine months that was gonna happen." she giggled.

"Well we didn't get to talk about the actual event, was it scary, did it hurt like a mofo." Hinata asked curiously.

"It was a little scary but it barely hurt because, hello I'm a bitchin' medic." Sakura gloated a little "And I'm surprised at your use of 'mofo' young lady." she added a stern voice smiling teasingly at her friend.

"If that didn't sound like a mother I don't know what did." Temari laughed pointing a finger at Sakura.

"Shut up I was joking now I've spilled about my birthing process now it's your turn Tem."

"I don't quite remember the day I was born thanks." Was the four pigtailed woman's smart ass reply. Sakura and Hinata merely rolled their eyes waiting for her to go on.

"Oh fun fact Shikamaru's mom absolutely adores me and it freaks him out." she laughed gleefully.

"Well that laugh freaks me out." Sakura muttered under her breath as a knock came on the door.

"If that's Kankuro I'll freak, total deja vu." Hinata said in a low voice as Sakura got up and opened the door to have a wailing infant put into her arms.

"He's hungry apparently and I lack the necessary equipment to feed him with." Gaara stated leaning against the door.

"Lovely way of putting it babe." Sakura laughed sitting on Temari's old bed and putting a blanket over Shiki and her chest so as not to freak out the other people in the room. (If you did not realize she is breast feeding, hence the reason Gaara lacked the 'equipment'.)

"Where's Maiko?" Hinata asked. Gaara smirked slightly.

"You should go down stairs and see. It's pretty hilarious." he chuckled "You too Tem I think you'll find the blackmail material quite useful." Temari grinned evilly and followed Hinata out the door.

"You so just wanted to get rid of them." Sakura giggled lifting the blanket to check on Shiki then putting it back down, although she knew Gaara didn't mind there was a chance of somebody entering the room at any moment.

"Not really, I've already filmed some of it I'll show you later, it's pretty priceless." He laughed coming over to sit next to her on the bed and kissing her on the top of the head.

"Oh." Temari stated

"My." went Hinata

"GOD!" the two squealed together as they witnessed their boyfriends sitting in miniature chairs with the little girl behind them doing their hair, with ribbons and beads and rainbow clippies. Both men had a look of annoyance and amusement on their faces. Because frankly while they looked at each other they couldn't help but crack a tiny smile at how ridiculous the other looked..

The two woman practically doubled over laughing.

"Do you like their hair, Aunties?" Maiko asked with a huge smile.

"Why yes I do Mai, however did you get them to agree to it though?" Hinata asked.

"They didn't believe that I could beat them at go fish so I said if I won I got to do their hair. Daddy was smart and said he didn't want to play, I always beat him at go fish." she giggled Temari and Hinata joining in with her as the two men grumbled in annoyance.

Later that evening Sasuke and Shikamaru had to put pride aside and ask their girlfriends to help take the things out of their hair. While Gaara sat watching from the couch with an obvious ' I told you so' smirk on his face, with an exhausted Sakura passed out at his side.

And also starting the sequel to Family Life so if any of you read that and liked it you should look for it soon. Thanks for sticking with me through this story I'm sad that it's ended but I think it's time. Who knows it's possible that I'll do some oneshots to go with it. ^_^
