Scene: Interior, Dupain-Cheng's Residence, Marinette's room. Marinette slides her chair to her monitor and looks at the trapdoor entrance behind her to check if anyone is coming. Then, she plays a video from the Ladyblog, but discovers that its volume is high, so she quickly tries to lower the volume.
Alya: (in the video blog) Now that Shadow Moth stole almost every Miraculous and told us people to call him Monarch, with all these powers, what is he planning? (The real Alya enters the room's trapdoor, much to Marinette's panic.) Marinette, what did we say?
Marinette: (pauses the video, stuttering) Th-The video launched itself!
Alya: (sarcastically) Of course, it did. (goes back to her normal tone) Hey, you want some fruit with your tea?
Marinette: Sure. Thanks, Alya.
Alya: Wait for me there and think of something else. (exits the room and closes the trapdoor. As Alya leaves the room, Marinette plays the video from the Ladyblog once again. She says from the video) Ladybug, Cat Noir, be super careful. (Worry was printed on Marinette's face as soon as the video came to an end.)
"Alya, how can I possibly think of anything else given everything that happened mostly because of me?!" Marinette rhetorically asked her best friend.
"Stop blaming yourself, girl! But I guess it is hard to think of anything else," Alya reluctantly answered.
Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in the crypt. Gabriel is standing in front of Emilie's cryogenic pod beside all the kwamis.
Gabriel: (furiously) Ladybug, once I get that last Miraculous, you will disappear forever! (points at the kwamis) And you! You're all going to help me! (He walks to get the Grimoire and scans the book for any useful information. He then points at Orikko.) There! (to Orikko) You! You can grant me any power I want! (closes the Grimoire and walks toward Orikko) You will give me the power to travel through time!
"That's my power!" Fluff pointed out in exasperation to Mr. Agreste on-screen.
Orikko: No, you're mistaken! Time travel is Fluff's power and I can't grant the power that already belongs to another kwami!
Gabriel: Are you trying to deceive me?
Orikko: (nods) By all means! Read the Grimoire again! (Gabriel reopens the Grimoire.)
Sass: Each kwami represents a concept, and a concept can only exist once in the universe.
Xuppu: Too complicated, Sass! Let's use an example to make things simpler. Take Tikki, she is the Kwami of Creation, and creation is creation, and if there's another creation than creation, then it's not "creation", it's "replication"!
Gabriel: Then grant me the power to locate Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous!
Orikko: Trouble is, that's not a power; that's a wish!
Xuppu: For instance, if I asked Santa for a pair of socks, that's a wish. But if I want Santa to grant me the power to knit socks, then it means Santa needs to know how to knit socks in the first place so he can teach me!
Gabriel: (groans angrily) Grant me the power to unmask Ladybug and Cat Noir's secret identities!
Xuppu: No can do!
Orikko: (shoves Xuppu away) I cannot give a power that would disrupt another kwami's magic. And being able to conceal the person behind the costume, well, that's part of the magic of their kwami.
Gabriel: (enraged) So you're utterly useless! (Orikko, Sass and Xuppu are taken aback by Gabriel's remark.)
"Well, I never!" Orikko angrily said, taken aback to what Mr. Agreste just said to him on-screen along with everyone else.
"We're not useless! That man is more of a nitwit than Nitwit here!" Xuppu said, his head pointed at Kim, in which everyone else murmured in agreement.
"He had that spellbook for how long and never bothered to study it thoroughly?!" Plagg rhetorically asked in exasperation which made everybody else chuckle in agreement.
Orikko: I... won't be talked to like this, sir! (Barkk, Kaalki and Daizzi fly to Orikko to comfort him.)
Barkk: Oh, very nicely done. You've offended him!
Orikko: Not at all, I'm not offended.
Sass: Are you proud of yourself?
Orikko: Really, I'm fine! (The kwamis mock Gabriel altogether.)
Kwamis: Mean! Mean! Mean! Mean!
"Mean! Mean! Mean! Mean!" The kwamis chanted along with themselves on-screen.
Gabriel: I command you to be quiet! (snaps his fingers and silences the kwamis) Actually, I don't need your powers. I just need you. (puts back the Grimoire on the table) So you're going to reveal your Guardian's identity. (The kwamis look at each other in confusion.) I command you! (snaps his fingers again to bring back the kwamis' ability to speak)
All the Kwamis: (forced) ...Ladybug!
Gabriel: I know Ladybug is the Guardian! What I want is Ladybug's secret identity! I order you to reveal it! (As the kwamis attempt to speak of Ladybug's real name, bubbles come out from their mouths instead.)
"That guy's still not getting it, is he?!" Plagg rhetorically asked as he facepalmed in exasperation towards Mr. Agreste on-screen with everyone else murmuring in agreement, especially the other kwamis.
Sass: Kwamis cannot expose the identity of their holder.
Mullo: And since Ladybug has never renounced us, she's still our holder!
Xuppu: It's kind of like those pajamas you put away without washing them first, you see?
Gabriel: You want to play? Well then, let's play together. I don't need Ladybug's identity. I only have to force you to tell me... where she lives. (The kwamis gasp in panic.) And there's no rule against that, is there? (approaches the kwamis) Take me to where Ladybug lives!
Ziggy: (terrified and forced) Just... (sniffs) follow... (whimpers) the smell of croissants!
"UH-OH!" The audience exclaimed in fear and panic that Ziggy seemingly has given away Marinette/Ladybug's location on-screen.
"Please don't tell me this is as bad as it looks right now," Marinette asked Angel as she nervously bit her fingernails.
"Just wait and see," Angel said as she pointed to the screen.
Gabriel: Nooroo, Kaalki, Pollen, Wayzz, unify! (The kwamis enter their respective Miraculous and transform him into Monarch.)
Monarch: It's time to capture that tricky Ladybug!
Scene: Interior, Tom & Sabine Boulangerie Patisserie. Tom is seen baking bread in the night while singing a song.
Tom: Loving warms the heart, like a little bread roll, pum-pum, some butter in the bowl, like a kiss for the soul~ (puts a tray of croissants on the counter. Sabine enters the bakery, yawning.)
Sabine: Tom, is now really the time to be baking croissants?
Tom: More than ever, my darling. You know I'm... I'm not a superhero, I'm just a baker. So, in order to help Ladybug and Cat Noir, I'm going to keep doing what I know how to do: pastries and bread. I hope their delicious aroma and crispy layers will make every Parisian so happy that this wretched Monarch won't find a single soul to akumatize. (Sabine walks toward the kneading counter and grabs a piece of bread to taste it.)
"We can only hope, sweetheart," Sabine said to her husband in which everyone else murmured in agreement with soft smiles.
"Hey, it'd work for me! The more delicious food, the more happy I will be!" Kim pointed out in which everyone else shook their heads and chuckled towards the teen athlete.
Sabine: I don't know if it's the power of your croissants or your big heart, darling. But with each passing day, I love you a little more.
Tom: Hahah! Take that, Monarch! One taste of my croissants means two less people to akumatize! (continues to sing while kneading dough) Pum-pum, some butter in the bowl, like a kiss for the soul~ (Sabine takes his side and joins Tom in kneading dough.)
Scene: Interior, the Dupain-Cheng's Residence, Marinette's room. Marinette is scrolling over the phone, browsing news about recent events.
Marinette: (frustrated as she puts down her phone) Think of something else! Think of something else!
Tikki: Don't worry, Marinette. Everything will be okay.
Marinette: How can I think of anything else? (A portal appears below her bunk bed...) Alya? (...but she gasps in shock as she realizes Monarch has entered her room.)
Monarch: Marinette Dupain-Cheng?
Marinette: Monarch!
"He is…in my room," Marinette said very slowly as her jaw dropped in shock and panic along with everyone else.
Monarch: (to the kwamis) Are you sure?
Ziggy: (timidly) Yes, and now you have to ask her for the gift.
Monarch: What do you mean the "gift"?
Ziggy: You have to ask Marinette Dupain-Cheng for the gift that Ladybug gave her.
"WHAT?!" The audience exclaimed as they died of confusion at what just happened on-screen.
"I am extremely confused right now. Last time I checked, I'm Ladybug. And I thought Monarch came into my room because he just unmasked me. What is going on here?!" Marinette loudly asked as everybody else murmured in agreement, just as loudly.
"Let's just say that before you lost the other Miraculouses, you and the kwamis had already prepared a plan beforehand in case at least one of them gets captured by him," Angel vaguely answered as her audience turned their attention back to the screen, still extremely confused.
Xuppu: A gift is—
Monarch: Enough! (to Marinette) You have uh, a gift for me?
Marinette: Uh— Oh, yes. Yes, the— the gift Ladybug gave me. Right.
Monarch: (points the spinning top at Marinette as she climbs down her bunk bed) Don't make any sudden moves! (Marinette walks cautiously and anxiously towards her table whilst Monarch's spinning top is still pointed at her. She walks backwards, which causes her to almost trip over her swivel chair but managed to stand upright moments after.)
Marinette: Sorry, I'm— I'm sorry. I'll get you the gift, right now. (opens her drawer and grabs something from it; she then walks towards Monarch and hands him over a key with a ladybug-designed keychain) There.
Monarch: Divide! (Kaalki, Pollen and Wayzz zoom out of their respective Miraculous) I didn't ask for a keychain! I asked you to take me to the Guardian! (The kwamis huddle behind Sass in fear.)
Sass: That's what we're doing, Monarch!
Roaar: Ladybug is always careful. We don't know her address!
Barkk: So, in case we got lost, she came up with a little scavenger hunt to help us find where she lives.
Daizzi: And the first clue was to follow the smell of croissants.
Xuppu: Isn't this so much fun? (giggles)
Monarch: (to Marinette) You know where to find Ladybug?
Marinette: No, I— I mean, the— Ladybug gave me this keychain when she gave me the Miraculous of the Mouse, to give to the kwami, uh Mullo, if she couldn't pick it up or if I got lost in the way or if I was late... I'm such a klutz. There was a chance that this might happen, so I get why she didn't trust me all that much and— anyway, I— here you go. (hands Monarch over the key with a ladybug keychain again) I got the keychain, but I don't know who Ladybug is or where she lives. (Just as Marinette was about to give Monarch the keychain, Alya entered the room holding a tray of croissants and two cups of tea.)
Alya: Hey! Your dad gave me these... croissants. (discovers that Monarch is in the room and drops the tray in fear)
"Obviously, I did not see that coming," Alya said as soon as she saw herself face-to-face with Monarch on-screen.
Monarch: (points his cane at Alya) You! You know where Ladybug is!
Alya: No, I don't! But now she's gonna know where you are! (brings out her phone to film Monarch) Listen up, peeps! Mega-scoop! Live from Marinette Dupain-Cheng's room, Monarch! Now that you've got all the Miraculous, what do you think Ladybug is up to? Maybe she's moving her secret hideout? Or she's looking for a replacement? Or maybe she's already on your trail? (In Monarch's rage, he grabs Alya's phone and breaks it on the floor.) Hey! That's censorship! (Monarch grabs the keychain from Marinette and finds a paper with the number "42" after breaking it with his thumb.)
"If he or his akumas keep breaking my phones, I'm sending your dad the bills. My parents shouldn't have to suffer buying me a new phone each time," Alya said to Adrien as soon as she saw Monarch breaking her phone on-screen.
Monarch: "42"? What is this supposed to mean?
Xuppu: It's a number. A number is a series of funny little symbols that are generally useless except for noting how many bananas you want for your afternoon snack!
"You really like annoying people, don't you?" Kim asked with a smirk on his face towards his kwami.
"Well, that is my…our superpower," Xuppu said with a smile on his face while he playfully shrugged.
"Annoying people. You two are really perfect for each other," Alix teased, which made both Kim and Xuppu frown at her while everybody else chuckled in agreement.
Monarch: (holds out the key) And what is this?
Xuppu: Well, that is a key that opens a locker at this place where you can slide around like crazy on top of a frozen pool.
Daizzi: Oh, yes. The Guardian would tell us about it all the time. She loves going there!
(The kwamis gasp in unison on their fatal slip of words.)
The Kwamis: Uh-oh.
Monarch: The ice rink! Nooroo, Kaalki, unify! (Kaalki enters the glasses.) Voyage!
(Monarch opens a portal and walks right in with the kwamis, who are pleading for help from their Guardian. Marinette reaches out her hand, but all she can do is watch the kwamis disappear right into the portal with Monarch.)
Alya: So, what did I miss?
"I think we've missed A LOT of things here," Alya said as she and everybody else murmured in agreement that they're still extremely confused.
"Yeah, I actually thought my father had unmasked you and tracked you down. But then, you give him a key supposedly handed to you by Ladybug and now he's going to the ice rink?!" Adrien asked his girlfriend who shrugged in response.
"Just keep watching," Angel said as the audience turned their attention back to the screen.
Scene: Interior, the Ice Rink. Philippe is seen free skating on the ice.
Philippe: (after performing consecutive spins) Hahah! Triple axel! (continues skating. A portal appears and Monarch steps out, scaring Philippe as he misses a step and slips on the ice, slamming on the wall.)
Monarch: Divide! (Kaalki enter his cane)
Philippe: Are you here for a skating lesson?
"Skating lesson?! Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous!" Chloe said as she and everyone else in the audience groaned in exasperation in response to Philippe's ridiculous question on-screen.
Monarch: (shows Philippe the key he got from Marinette) I don't have time to waste! (The two go to the locker, presumably the one with the number "42" on it.)
Philippe: (upon opening the locker door) I hope this is the "key" to happiness! (chuckles. Monarch shoves Philippe aside as he sees the content of the locker: a photo of the Cat Noir statue in the Grévin Museum, along with another ladybug keychain, but with red dots and a black base, and with another small piece of paper attached to it. Monarch takes the paper and unfolds it.)
Monarch: Hmm, "street". "42" and "street"... the pieces of paper spell out an address!
Xuppu: (smugly) It's not like it was difficult.
Monarch: (holds the photo in his hands) And I know where to find the next clue! (As Monarch deciphers the clue, Philippe starts to take pictures with him.)
Philippe: A celebrity like you here will pack in the crowds! (Philippe shows Monarch his selfie with him, only to be shoved away by Monarch in annoyance. Monarch continues his search for Ladybug's address.)
Monarch: Nooroo, Kaalki, unify! (Kaalki re-enters the Horse Miraculous) Voyage! (enters the portal)
Philippe: (while typing on his phone) "Ice Man visiting the rink!" No, "Monarch or Hawk-Penguin, a nocturnal visit from a prestigious villain!" (posts his picture with Monarch online) Perfect! (Photos of Philippe with Monarch, Nadja Chamack, Ladyice, Jagged Stone, and Clara Nightingale are seen on his phone. Philippe becomes starstruck upon looking back at his photos with them.)
"Did that guy really just take a selfie with our city terrorist?" Nathaniel asked as he and everybody else frowned in disbelief towards Philippe on-screen.
"And since when did he take a selfie with me?" Marinette asked as soon as she saw a photo of herself as Ladyice with Philippe on-screen.
"All your questions will be answered shortly," Angel said as she once again pointed to the screen which got her audience's full attention.
Scene: Interior, Musée Grévin. Véronique closes the museum door to be surprised as Monarch appears behind her.
Monarch: Divide! (Kaalki goes into his cane, then shows Véronique the image of the Cat Noir statue) Take me to this statue.
Véronique: (in mild panic) Follow me. (Véronique and Monarch arrive in the heroes' room. Monarch then looks around for clues.) Will you need anything else?
Monarch: No.
Véronique: Enjoy your visit! (runs away. Monarch scrutinizes the statues of Ladybug and Cat Noir at the center of the room. Upon examining it, he spots a paper inserted in Cat Noir's bell and pulls it out to see its content.)
Monarch: Ah! (reads the note) Half... wit. "42 Half-Wit Street"? (Suddenly Cat Noir's "statue" grabs Monarch's hand.)
"HALF-WIT?!" Everyone in the audience (except for simple-minded Kim) laughed at what the note just said, even more after what Monarch just said on-screen.
"There's no such street!" Kim said much to the audience's surprise that he didn't catch the drift of the situation.
"Of course not! It's a trick. A joke. Half-wit!" Alix said to the teen athlete in disbelief with Kim frowning at her in embarrassment while the audience chuckled in amusement.
Cat Noir: Heard that was your address? (Ladybug lassoes her yo-yo around Cat Noir's and Monarch's arms.) Cataclysm!
Ladybug: Lucky Charm! (A hose falls into her hands Upon getting the hose, Ladybug lassoes it around Monarch's body.) So, Monarch, I hear you've been looking for me? (pulls Monarch along with Cat Noir towards her. The room's doors close, cornering Monarch inside.)
Monarch: Nooroo, Kaalki–
Cat Noir: (points his hand with the cataclysm) Easy, Monarch, or I'll Cataclysm you.
Ladybug: Checkmate, Monarch!
Barkk: Ladybug, at last! (The rest of the kwamis swarm over Ladybug.)
Ladybug: Awww! You miss me so much!
Ziggy: We're sorry, but he forced us!
Ladybug: I know you had no choice but to obey him. But it's over now.
Ziggy: Are we going home? Oh, yay!
"No need to put a damper, but somehow, I seriously doubt that," Marinette said with a sad look towards the kwamis, having a feeling that Monarch will do something drastic. After some thought, everyone else murmured in agreement with frowns on their faces.
Ladybug: Is this what you were looking for, Monarch? (shows another piece of paper) My real address was written on this, but I replaced it just before you got here.
Monarch: How?
Cat Noir: Shh.
Ladybug: How do I know you were looking for me? It just so happens I'm notified every time Philippe posts a pic. And I knew that if you ever showed up at the rink, that would mean that you were on my trail. So, Cat Noir and I rushed here to replace the paper.
Cat Noir: And the statue.
Ladybug: Inside of this trap you so nicely fell into.
Xuppu: In the end, it turns out the insect that got captured was a moth!
Ladybug: You're not going any farther, Monarch. I'm still the guardian and I'm going to retrieve all the Miraculous you stole from me! (The kwamis cheer behind her.) And if you try to do anything else other than de-transform, Cat Noir will Cataclysm you.
Monarch: Nooroo, Kaalki—
Cat Noir: Don't do it! Don't make me! I don't know what this will do to you, and none of us want to find out!
Ladybug: What we want is to find out who you really are. (As Ladybug attempts to remove the Butterfly Miraculous, Monarch does the most reckless thing yet: pulling Cat Noir's hand onto him and letting his arm be touched by his Cataclysm. Upon touching his arm, Monarch groans in extreme pain, to Cat Noir's horror.)
"IS MY FATHER INSANE?!" Adrien rhetorically exclaimed as he and everyone else in the audience gasped loudly in shock and horror to what Monarch did to himself on-screen.
Cat Noir: No! (Ladybug releases her yo-yo from their arms) Why did he do that? Is he crazy?
Monarch: (continues to groan in pain) Checkmate, Ladybug! (Ladybug gasps as Monarch finds yet another way to escape the two heroes.) Nooroo, Kaalki, unify! (Kaalki enters the glasses) Voyage! (A portal appears beneath him and slowly gets sucked in it, along with the Kwamis.)
Barkk: Help! I want to stay with you! (The portal closes. Ladybug is on her knees in frustration.)
"I can't believe this! We had him! We actually had him!" Marinette exclaimed in frustration towards the events on-screen.
"And he made me Cataclysm his arm!" Adrien exclaimed in frustration that his father made him Cataclysm his arm on-screen.
"And since he took my Lucky Charm with him, I can't fix his arm!" Marinette then pointed out in frustration as everyone else stood still in horror.
Ladybug: (on the verge of tears) We had him! We almost had him! The kwamis were safe! They were right here!
Cat Noir: I Cataclysmed him... I don't believe this! I just Cataclysmed someone! Granted, it was Monarch, but there's a real person behind that mask and... it must have hurt him terribly. M'lady, you've gotta fix this!
Ladybug: Cat Noir, Monarch just ran away with my Lucky Charm. Without it, I can't fix anything. I can't call up my power and undo the effects of the Cataclysm. There's nothing I can do. (Cat Noir falls onto his knees, devastated by the events that went over.)
"Well, at least it's just his arm, right?" Adrien asked, trying to look on the bright side as well as the humans in the audience. "RIGHT?!" Adrien then asked his kwami as soon as he saw Plagg gave him a sad and worried look.
"I'm sorry. I can't lie, Adrien. It's about to get a whole lot worse," Plagg then sadly and reluctantly said much to the audience's horror and confusion. "When a human actually gets Cataclysmed in at least one part of his or her body, the effects of the Cataclysm will slowly and progressively spread to his or her entire body and…let's just say your father won't have much time left."
"So, my father will…?" Adrien gulped, not being able to finish his question in which Plagg reluctantly nodded in confirmation, making the audience gasp in shock and horror.
"So, now he's more determined to get both your Miraculouses than ever, so that he can save both his wife and himself," Angel pointed out even though that didn't change her audience's look of shock and horror.
Scene: Interior, the Dupain-Cheng's residence, Marinette's room. Marinette finishes talking to Alya about the plan she formulated to capture Monarch.
Marinette: After that, there was nothing left to do anyway. So, we split up. (Alya hugs Marinette)
Alya: OK. So, we've got a Cataclysmed Monarch out there. But I just gotta know how did you got Monarch to leave your room when he had you, Ladybug, right there under his nose, and what was that about the yo-yo keychain with the ice rink key? I do not get it, at all.
Marinette: (Giggles) Ever since I became a guardian.
Scene: Flashback from Truth.
Marinette: I was always afraid that Monarch would capture one of the kwamis and force them to talk.
Scene: Flashback ends: Flashback from Sapotis begins.
Marinette: It was so risky to get the Miraculous to other holders.
Scene: Flashback ends: Flashback from Kwamibuster begins.
Marinette: What if they got lost? What if Monarch captured them?
Scene: Flashback ends: Flashback at Marinette's room, where she is tiredly trying to formulate a plan.
Marinette: I had to figure out how to cover my tracks, in case Monarch ever forced a kwami to reveal anything that could lead him to me. (Marinette wakes up on a sofa and sees a paper stuck to her head and after reading it she becomes happy. She pulls down a chart and draws lines on it) Step one: I had to make sure I'd be warned if Monarch started looking for me.
Scene: Flashback ends: Flashback to the scene when Marinette sees Monarch in her room.
Marinette: And what better person to warn me than Monarch himself?
Alya: (Off-screen) Oh, wait, not so fast. You know I nearly had a heart attack when I saw Monarch in your room.
Scene: Flashback ends: Present Marinette's room.
Marinette: Oh, I'm sorry, Alya. Seriously, I never thought he'd show up in the middle of our sleepover. (Marinette and Alya laugh together.) But you made my plan even more credible. Your reaction was perfect.
"That is true," Angel said, making her audience chuckle in agreement.
Scene: Flashback to the scene when Alya is recording Monarch on her phone.
Alya: (flashback) Listen up, peeps! Mega-scoop! Live from Marinette Dupain-Cheng's room, Monarch! Now that you've got all the Miraculous... (Fades out)
Marinette: (Voice over) I had to get him out of the room as soon as possible.
Scene: Flashback ends: Flashback to Marinette's room, where she is constructing the key ring.
Marinette: And that's why I'd come up with the idea of the key ring game.
Scene: Flashback ends: Flashback interior, Musée Grévin. Ladybug clicks the photo of Ladybug and Cat Noir Statue with her yo-yo and shows it to Véronique.
Scene: Flashback ends: Flashback at interior of the Ice Rink, where Philippe and Ladyice are taking a selfie.
Ladyice: Three, two, one.
Ladyice and Philippe: Kwami!
Philippe: (while skating) It was so nice of you to take a selfie with me, Ladybug. I'm sure all the kids who love you will want to join the rink. I can post it on the Internet, right? You don't mind?
Ladyice: (while skating) Of course not. You know, Philippe, if you want to really increase your number of visitors, you should take photos of everyone who comes to the ice rink. Like at the entrance of all the theme parks.
Philippe: You think?
Ladyice: Of course! The more you show how popular your rink is, the more people will want to come. And they make great souvenirs, too. (Both reach the locker room.)
Philippe: Wait. That's an amazing idea! I'm going to create a website dedicated to all my visitors, and I'll upload them instantly so everybody can share their passion for skating before they've even left the rink. (Ladyice opens a locker and puts the photo of Cat Noir's statue and the keyring in it.)
Ladyice: (locking the locker door) You know what? I'll be your first follower.
Scene: Flashback ends: Present interior, the Dupain-Cheng's residence, Marinette's room.
Alya: OK. The scavenger hunt was brilliant. But how did you manage to contact Cat Noir on such short notice?
Marinette: I didn't need to.
Scene: Flashback rooftops of the Parisian streets. Ladybug shows the Ice Rink selfie to Cat Noir.
Cat Noir: Nice! Let me know next time you go ice skating. I'll come triple axel with you. The second a bug signal lights up the sky, I'll put on my skates.
Ladybug: No need for a bug signal. Just follow the rink's profile. You'll get photos of the customers in real time.
Cat Noir: (pulls out his staff) Awesome! I'm gonna send a notification for Ladyice, Ladybug.
Ladybug: Don't forget one for Hawk Moth too, Kitty.
Cat Noir: (hesitating) Oh no. I don't feel like skating with him at all.
Ladybug: But the day Hawk Moth shows up at the rink, you'll have to meet me at the Grévin Museum immediately.
Cat Noir: (surprised) Ah?
Ladybug: And that's not all. In preparation for that day, (gives a piece of paper in his hands) I'm gonna need you to keep this little piece of paper in that bell.
Cat Noir: (reading the paper's content) "Half-wit"? Hey, that's not very nice.
Ladybug: (Giggles) It's not meant for you, silly. But I promise, one day you'll understand.
Cat Noir: I trust you, m'lady. Your plans are like your Lucky Charms. Often complicated, sometimes really strange, but they always work out.
Scene: Flashback ends: Present interior, the Dupain-Cheng's residence, Marinette's room.
Alya: (Laughs) You mean Cat Noir's been walking around all this time with a paper that says "Half-wit" in his bell?
"Yeah, like that was the important part of this story!" Adrien sarcastically said with a frown towards Alya as she and everybody else laughed in amusement.
Marinette: Mm-hmm.
Alya: There never was a real address?
Marinette: Mm-mm. What mattered was for Monarch to think he was piecing an address together and to rush from one step to another without thinking. The kwamis don't even know what an address is. But they always knew how to get home. (pictures the kwamis playing in her room and then becomes sad) And I knew that if they're captured by Monarch, they would be forced to tell him how to find their way back.
Ziggy: (flashback) Just follow the smell of croissants.
Marinette: But I also knew there was nothing keeping them from adding a little something.
Scene: Flashback Marinette's room. Marinette is explaining her plan to the kwamis.
Marinette: Repeat after me: That's it. Then you have to ask for the gift.
The Kwamis: (repeating after her) That's it. Then you have to ask for the gift.
Marinette: And in case we got lost, Ladybug gave people a way for us to find out where she lives.
The Kwamis: (repeating after her) In case we got lost...
Scene: Flashback ends: Flashback to the scene when Monarch asks the kwamis about the keychain.
Monarch: I didn't ask you for a keychain. I asked you to take me to the guardian.
Sass: That's what we're doing, Monarch.
Roaar: Ladybug is always careful. We don't know her address.
Barkk: So in case we get lost, she came up with a little scavenger hunt to help us find where she lives.
Daizzi: And the first clue was to follow the smell of croissants.
Xuppu: Isn't it so much fun? (Laughs)
Scene: Flashback ends: Present interior Marinette's room.
Marinette: Well, they improvised a little in their own way, but, they were perfect!
Alya: I thought the kwamis had to tell the truth.
Marinette: What? It was the truth. Didn't Ladybug really give Marinette Dupain-Cheng, Philippe, and Cat Noir a way for the kwamis to find their home, and cause Monarch to fall into her trap?
Scene: Flashback to scene when Monarch teleports out of the room.
Monarch: Nooroo, Kaalki, unify! (Kaalki enters the glasses.) Voyage! (Monarch opens a portal and walks right in with the kwamis, who look at Marinette for help. Marinette reaches out her hand, but all she can do is watch the kwamis disappear right into the portal with Monarch.)
Alya: So, what did I miss?
Marinette: Tikki, spots on! (Marinette transforms into Ladybug) I'll explain everything when I get back. (Ladybug swings out of her room and goes to Musée Grévin.)
Scene: Flashback continuation, Musée Grévin. Ladybug and Cat Noir remove the Cat Noir statue and the real Cat Noir takes its place. Véronique helps them to adjust Cat Noir pose like the real statue. She becomes satisfied but Ladybug makes some more minute adjustments. When done, Ladybug hides in wait for Monarch.
"I'm surprised that I was able to keep myself still as a statue for this long," Adrien noted in which everyone else murmured in agreement, also surprised.
Scene: Flashback ends: Present interior Marinette's room.
Marinette: (sadly) But the kwamis never came home. My plan failed.
Alya: (cheering her up) Are you kidding me? How can you say something like that? You came up with the most amazing plan ever. Monarch shows up in your room and he ends up Cataclysmed. I wouldn't call that a failure. It proves that you're only the most amazing superhero the world has ever seen. You really showed some self-control, Marinette.
Marinette: (doubtfully) You… You think?
"DUH!" All the teens in the audience exclaimed towards the blue-haired girl who blushed at the praise given to her.
"M'lady, we came this close to actually defeating him because of this plan you apparently came up with in this future! We actually had him and neither of us would think he'd be crazy enough to let me Cataclysm his arm to escape. So, I wouldn't call that plan a failure," Adrien pointed out to his still-blushing girlfriend in which everyone else enthusiastically murmured in agreement.
Alya: Of course. You didn't get the kwamis back. But it's only a matter of time. I know it.
(Marinette smiles at Alya.) And here I was wondering how I could help you without superpowers. But you don't even need me.
Marinette: Of course, I need you. (She hugs Alya) The one superpower you'll never lose is the power to be the best BFF ever.
Alya: And I'll be here for as long as it takes. Monarch can come up with whatever evil plan he wants, but that's the last time he makes my BFF cry. (Marinette giggles.) And Monarch owes me a smartphone. (Marinette and Alya laugh together. Tikki watches both of them and smiles.)
"So, does your old man like to pay in cash or credit card?" Alya jokingly asked Adrien in which everyone (including Adrien) burst into raucous laughter at the joke.
Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, Gabriel's atelier. Gabriel is seen drawing new fashion designs on his monitor as Adrien enters the room.
Adrien: Father, I have something really important to tell you, but I don't know how.
"Wait, didn't I…?" Adrien began to ask curiously as well as everyone else in the audience before Angel interrupted.
"Yeah, this episode actually takes place between the first two episodes you just watched this morning. And just so you all know in advance, it shows how he was able to transfer Miraculous powers through the rings he just invented," Angel pointed out in which her audience gave their full attention back to the screen.
Gabriel: Get to the point, Adrien. You can see I'm busy. (Gabriel suddenly looks at his left forearm which is shaking)
Adrien: I don't want to be a model anymore.
Gabriel: (putting his hand on his left forearm) Fine, if that's what you want.
Adrien: (Surprised) Huh?
Gabriel: Was there something else? (As Adrien leaves the room, Gabriel pulls up the sleeve of his left forearm revealing a large black mark on his forearm, due to the Cataclysm. He then zooms out of the monitor screen, revealing that he is designing the Alliance rings outfit.)
"OH!" Everyone in the audience exclaimed in shock and horror at the black mark on Mr. Agreste's arm as a result of Cat Noir's Cataclysm on-screen.
"I think I'm gonna be sick!" Adrien said, cuddling his stomach in which Marinette cuddles him in comfort.
"That was nothing. Like I said, it's gonna get a lot worse!" Plagg pointed out, which makes the rest of the audience very nervous.
"Well, he did it to himself! Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous!" Chloe pointed out, trying to comfort her childhood friend in which everyone else hummed in agreement.
Scene: Monarch's lair. Gabriel puts the Fox Miraculous in a petri dish and places it in a device. The device beams disintegrate it into dust, destroying the Miraculous. Gabriel removes the Fox Miraculous dish from the device and repeats this process with the other Miraculouses.
"Did my father just destroy those Miraculouses?!" Adrien asked loudly in extreme shock as well as the rest of the audience in which Angel nodded in confirmation as they turned their attention back to the screen.
Scene: Interior, the Agreste mansion, in Gabriel's atelier. Gabriel is discussing something with Tomoe, in the presence of Nathalie. While Tomoe is examining an Alliance ring, Adrien enters the room and interrupts them.
Adrien: Father.
Nathalie: (blocking the door) It's not the time, Adrien. (Adrien becomes sad and leaves. Tomoe completes her examination and nods. She gives Gabriel a small briefcase which has her company's insignia on it.)
Scene: Monarch's lair. Gabriel opens the briefcase and takes out a small power orb and places it in the device. He takes the petri dish containing the Bee Miraculous dust and places the dust in the device. The device's power orb ejects a beam, which remodels the Bee Miraculous into an Alliance ring.
"So, he has reformed our Miraculouses into those rings he was inventing?" Wayzz asked, very concerned as well as the rest of the audience.
"Exactly. He has reformed your Miraculouses into those rings that he wears himself. And once those rings are out to the public, he's able to transfer Miraculous powers from his rings to the rings of his akuma targets. You all will see that in the next episode," Angel explained and the audience brought their attention back to the screen.
Gabriel: (examining the Alliance ring) Perfect! (He proceeds to reformat the remaining Miraculouses into rings. When the process is completed, he wears the Alliance ring outfit, with the Miraculous rings on his finger.) What do you think of the new Miraculous, my dear kwamis? (The scene shows that every kwami is trapped in glass pods, in a circular designed construction. Gabriel wears his gloves, over his Miraculous rings.) Nooroo, dark wings, rise! (Gabriel transforms into Monarch)
All the kwamis began whimpering in fear at seeing themselves being held prisoner on-screen.
Monarch: Ladybug, Cat Noir, you'll never get the chance to deceive me again! Because Monarch's reign is about to begin!
"OK, everyone, the next episode is Jubilation which refers to the Pig Miraculous," Angel announced then turned her attention to Mr. Damocles. "Mr. Damocles, you're akumatized into a new version of the Dark Owl called the Darker Owl in which you will use the Pig's power of showing everyone's greatest desires against your targets." Angel explained further as she played the episode while her audience had nervous looks towards what they just heard (especially Mr. Damocles and Daizzi).
