You're an Animal Hotaru
"Past Life?", our favorite raven-haired Ice Queen blurted out without looking up from her book.
"Yup!", Mikan grinned excitedly at her 'busy-looking-busy" bestfriend.
"Well," The blonde class representative smiled,enjoying the half-stupid, half-intellectual conversation. "Hypothetically."
Hotaru paused for a moment before looking up from her book, glancing from her bestfriend to he curious faces of Nonoko, Sumire, Anna, and Yuu. She thought for a moment, actually giving up. It wasn't totally stupid, anyway, 'cause it wasn't just Mikan who brought the conversation up. [too biased for bestfriend! Ha-ha. Anyway..]
"I never thought about it.", she said, closing her book and finally ending her mini-busy charade.
He was listening,too, and she was oblivious about it. No less than her favorite, blonde, high school bishie, smiled from his seat. He listened as his friends babbled, except for one – whom he stared at willingly.
"Ne, Natsume! What would you be in your past life?" Mikan smiled as the crimson-eyed stood up and walked towards the door.
"Anything that keeps idios away." He smirked and left. Ruka, having the need to feed the animals in the barn, also stood up and followed quietly – slowly, actually.
Mikan stuck her tongue out at his enemy-slash-love as they all laughed. A tint of relief somehow hovered at Hotaru, thinking she was spared from giving an answer to their question. But then it wasn't her day. They turned back to her as if on cue. "Hotaru?"
She couldn't help but roll her eyes. "I don't know."
"I know." Ruka suddenly cut in as he was passing by them.
She stared as him and fought the urge to flush. 'Why does he always surprise me?!' The stare turned into a glare as he met her gaze. Ha. Her dreamlike boyfriend.
"You must be an animal, Hotaru." He ignored the upcoming threat and smiled sheepishly at them before glancing back at her. The five went mouth-gaped and stared as he continued.–––––––"...'cause I'm always drawn into you."
