The Visions of Leia

Time Period: 5 ABY [AU]

Leia Organa had accomplished so much in her short life. Barely twenty-five, she'd fought alongside her long lost brother in a Galactic War that saw the end of The Empire, she'd met a scoundrel that she felt was changing her life, and she was becoming a key figure in her galaxy's history.

But one thing she hadn't done yet was visit the homeworld of her late biological mother….

So when Leia finally mustered enough strength to go to Naboo, she was in for a surprise.

It was almost spring on Naboo when Leia found time to visit Naboo for her first time. Her heart was pounding against her rib cage by the time the carrier vessel touched the ground in Theed.

She and C3-PO exited the ship and moved into the sunlight. Leia's breath was taken away almost instantly.

My mother use to rule here, she thought to herself.

C3-PO looked around. "Well, it looks like I'm back," he said to himself. "Theed has indeed changed since my last time here."

Leia looked at him, her curly hair fanning out as she turned. "3-PO, when were you last here?"

C3-PO thought for a moment. "Before you were born, actually," he replied.

Leia was a tad bit shocked. "Let's go, 3-PO. I'd like to atleast see most of the capital before nightfall."

She and the droid moved off of the platform and headed into the castle. They viewed the throne room where Padme' Naberrie Amidala Skywalker had once sat and ruled the entire planet of Naboo as a teenager.

Leia smiled. Leading people was in her blood. LITERALLY!

She roamed the halls of the palace and moved through the busy streets of the capital, smiling faces all around.

Naboo is so peaceful, Leia asked. I can see why mother liked being here so much….It kinda reminds me on Alderaan.

"Ma'am," called C3-PO.

Leia snapped out of her private thoughts and turned around to the golden droid that accompanied her.

"Might I suggest that we visit the lake country?"

Leia's brow furrowed. "The Lake Country??"

"Yes, ma'am," he replied. "It's one of the most beautiful places on all of Naboo…."

Leia smiled. "Sure, why not?"

Six hours later

Leia, dressed in a silky gown and her hair wrapped in a soft bun in the back of her hair, stepped off of the water glider, C3-PO right behind her.

The Lake Country did indeed take her breath away.

That night Leia strolled through the rose garden and arrived at the balcony that overlooked the entire garden.

She leaned against the stone railing, and through a sense of Force psychomentry, Leia had a vision….

[Padme' and Anakin stood on this very balcony where Leia stood, kissing, Padme' in a multi-colored gown with her back out and Anakin in his Jedi attire. They kissed and the kiss grew passionate.

Then the vision skipped a couple of days and here Padme' and Anakin were agin, on this balcony once again, Padme' dressed in a white wedding gown. They kissed again and that was their first kiss as husband and wife.]

Leia gasped, the vision ending. She turned around. He DID love her!!, she thought.

"C3-PO!!!" she called.

The droid approached her from the room they occupied. "D-Did you know…??"

"That your parents professed their love here?? On this very balcony?"

Leia nodded.

"Yes, I did….That's why I brought you here….R2-D2 and I were here for their wedding. We saw their love at its height…Well, its height would be when you and your brother were conceived, but they loved each other more then…then in the end…."
